“Isabella, do you know why Andrew chose you?” Stella asked.
Isabella thought: Wasn’t it because she was beautiful, smart, kind, and adorable? Oh, and also because he saw her as a patsy who supported him for almost two years.
Seeing that Isabella remained silent, Stella thought she had convinced her and continued smugly, “Andrew deliberately seduced you because Henry was interested in you first. He has always been in a cutthroat rivalry with us. Anything Henry wants, Andrew will snatch. Normally, the Turner family business is only passed down to the eldest son and grandson, but Andrew insists on getting involved. Later, Henry showed interest in Scarlett, and soon she became Andrew’s fiancee. When Henry wanted to marry you, Andrew intervened again.”
“So what?” Isabella wasn’t naive enough to think Stella was there to stand up for her. She couldn’t be that kind-hearted!
Stella suddenly reached out and grabbed her hand, “Isabella, you’re still young. Are you really willing to be used like this? Listen to my advice: a marriage full of manipulation and calculation isn’t worth it. Look at you, you’re so beautiful, and you’re a celebrity. So many men like you. Why marry someone who doesn’t love you? You know, we are werewolves, and you are human. It’s hard for you to adapt to the werewolf world.”
“Auntie, we don’t seem to be that close,” Isabella pried her hand away, feeling a chill run through her. It seemed Stella wouldn’t rest until she broke up with Andrew. What was her logic? Did she think her relationship with Andrew was so fragile that a single slap would shatter it? Besides, they were all werewolves, and she was Andrew’s mate. They should all know she belonged to Andrew!
“Auntie, are you finished?” Isabella felt her patience reaching its limit.
Stella nodded, “Isabella, did you understand what I said?”
“Yes,” Isabella nodded.
“So what are you going to do?” Stella asked eagerly, as if she couldn’t wait to see Isabella get angry and break up with Andrew.
“What else can I do? I won’t be swayed by your words. I love Andrew,” Isabella said, picking up her handbag and standing up. “Auntie, please don’t waste my time in the future.”
Seeing her about to leave, Stella immediately stood up. “Isabella, I think you’ve been completely bewitched by Andrew!”
“Andrew is so charming. If I am bewitched by him, that’s my choice. It’s none of your business,” Isabella shot her a cold glance.
“Isabella, you foolish human, you don’t know what’s good for you!” Stella stomped her foot in anger.
Isabella had originally planned to leave, but upon hearing her words, she stopped and glared at her. “Auntie, if you keep talking recklessly, I don’t mind biting you!”
Stella’s face turned pale with anger, and she couldn’t find the words to respond. This young girl, despite her age, was unwavering and no simple character. If she married into the Turner family, she would indeed be troublesome.
Fuming, Stella stormed off while making a call to Thomas.

By this time, Isabella had already walked out of her sight. With a rare free day, she happily decided to shop as she passed by a mall. She bought clothes for Andrew and Asher, picked out a set of fine porcelain at a pottery store, and then selected fruits and lettuce at the supermarket, planning to make a fruit salad for Asher at noon. The little guy preferred meat over fruit, which was as difficult for him to eat as medicine.
Carrying several bags, Isabella happily walked into her apartment, only to find Andrew sitting on the sofa with a cold expression.
“Asher and Amelia?” Isabella asked as she casually brought in her bags.
“Asher has an early education class this morning,” Andrew replied, watching her with a complex expression.
Seeing him just sitting there without any intention to help, she got annoyed. If he didn’t care for her now, what would happen after they got married? This behavior needed to be nipped in the bud.
With that thought, she dropped the bags on the floor. “Andrew, take these two bags to the kitchen and these ones to the walk-in closet upstairs.”
After she barked her orders, he silently stood up from the sofa and did as she said. He took the food bags to the kitchen, put the fruits and salad into the fridge, and then carried the clothes upstairs to the walk-in closet.
The clothes were for him and Asher. Thankfully, she had bought the right sizes this time; Asher’s clothes weren’t too big, and his weren’t too small-they fit perfectly.
After putting away the clothes, Andrew went downstairs and saw Isabella sitting on the living room sofa, happily arranging a new set of porcelain.
“Andrew, do you think these cups are pretty? I saw them displayed in the window and fell in love with them at first sight. Although they weren’t cheap, I rarely find something that suits my taste so well. I hesitated for just a moment before deciding to buy them. After we get married, on snowy days, we can sit by the window, watching the snow while drinking coffee from these cups. It sounds so beautiful, doesn’t it?”
She finished speaking and looked up at him, noticing that he was staring at her intently, making her feel a bit puzzled.
“What kind of look is that? I just used your card to buy a set of cups for ten thousand dollars. Is it such a big deal?” she pouted in displeasure.
He paused for a moment, clearly thinking about something else entirely. Shaking his head, he walked over and affectionately ruffled her hair as he usually did.
“Well, as long as you’re happy.”
“Andrew, you’re the best.” She leaned in and kissed his cheek, then continued arranging her cups, clearly very fond of them.
Andrew thought that Isabella was always such a simple person-something as small as a set of cups could make her happy for a long time.
“What did you do this morning?” he asked, probing.
“Shopping. I bought a lot of things,” she said, waving the cup in her hand.
“Did you go anywhere besides shopping?” he asked again.
She paused for a moment, finally looking away from the cup to meet his gaze. She quickly understood what he was implying.
