Emrys looked at her crying like a tearful person, sighed helplessly. He finally remembered why he had lost focus when he saw Isabella’s eyes yesterday. It was because Isabella’s eyes were as pure and clear as Chloe’s.
“Alright. Haven’t I always listened to you? You said we should break up, so I’ll obediently break up with you,” Emrys said.
“But now I regret it, let’s get back together,” Chloe snuggled into Emrys’s arms, coquettishly.
“Okay,” Emrys reached out and hugged her.
Chloe wiped the tears from her face and then tried to lift the blanket covering him. As she lifted the blanket, she found his leg was encased in thick plaster.
“Is your leg injury serious?” she asked with concern, looking like she was about to cry again.
Emrys immediately comforted her, “It’s just a fracture. A few days of rest will be fine. Don’t worry, once it heals, I’ll still be able to carry you and back you up.”
After saying that, he leaned close to her ear and added, “And I’ll still perform just as well in bed as before.”
“You’re awful,” Chloe playfully punched his chest with her hand.
Then she hugged him.
Suddenly, a jarring ringtone echoed in the corridor.
Chloe nervously jumped off the bed and rushed towards the door of the ward.
In the quiet corridor, there was no one around, only a nurse at the nurse’s station not far away, holding a cellphone and making a call.
Chloe’s heart sank, and after closing the door, she patted her chest and said to Emrys, “Thank goodness it’s just a nurse. If it were a reporter catching us again, I’d be scolded by my agent.”
After hearing her words, Emrys shook his head and smiled.

Meanwhile, Olivia was hiding in a safe passage, holding her hand over her heart. Just now, she had almost broken out in a cold sweat.
The door to Emrys’s ward was tightly closed, and she couldn’t hear anything from the crack in the door, so she obediently went downstairs.
Outside the hospital, Isabella’s car had been parked there all along.
Olivia quickly got into the car, and then the driver started the engine.
“Isabella, your phone call almost got me caught,” Olivia patted her chest, still feeling frightened.
Isabella glanced at her. “Come in. If you don’t hurry up, the plane won’t wait for you.”
“I was watching the time, I was about to come back, and then my phone rang. Your call almost got me into trouble,” Olivia complained.
“It was you who almost got me into trouble!” Isabella glared at her. “You’re my assistant, if you get caught, it’s my reputation on the line.”
“Good thing I’m quick-witted,” Olivia said smugly. “Aren’t you curious about Chloe and Emrys’s relationship?”
“If they’re not relatives, they’re probably lovers,” Isabella said indifferently, not particularly interested in gossip about others.
“A while back, there were rumors online about Chloe secretly dating an unknown actor, and it turns out that person was Emrys,” Olivia eagerly recounted what she had overheard.
After listening, Isabella couldn’t help but sigh. This pair of lovers really had it tough.
“Emrys has a strong sense of pride, and Chloe’s agency publicly denied their relationship. Emrys must find it hard to accept,” she said lightly.
So, even if you’re living off someone, you still need a strong heart and a thick skin. Emrys should really learn from Andrew. Andrew used to live off her so naturally and confidently.
“Watch your mouth. What you see today absolutely cannot be leaked from us,” Isabella instructed Olivia.
“Don’t worry, I know what to say and what not to say,” Olivia replied.
After arriving at the airport and passing through security, they started boarding just in time.
Rochester town to Ithaca town is a two-hour flight. After Isabella got off the plane, she originally planned to go straight to the Turner Group and wait for Andrew to finish work so they could go home together.
However, just as she walked out of the airport, she received a call from Lily.
“Ma’am, Auntie said you’re on today’s flight back. Are you in Ithaca town now? Hurry over to see the commotion,” Lily’s voice couldn’t hide her glee.
Isabella hesitated for a moment, then decided to call Andrew first.
“Boss, when will you finish work?” she asked with a smile in her voice.
“You’re back?” he chuckled softly, then added with a hint of apology, “I have a social engagement tonight, so I might be late. I’ll accompany you tomorrow.”
“Okay,” she said, “I’ll just join in the fun at the Harris family.”
After hanging up, she instructed the driver to turn the car around and head towards the direction of the villa.
When she returned to the villa, she found that it was not just lively, but chaos reigned.
Charlotte was sitting on the sofa in the living room, crying hysterically, as if she might cry herself to death at any moment.
Elowen was sitting on the floor, disheveled, shaking her shoulders and crying incessantly.
Mrs. Ada sat at the other end of the sofa with a stern face, looking rather unpleasant, but not seeming to be angry.
And David stood beside Elowen, his short hair slightly messy, his shirt wrinkled, a rare sight of disarray.
Emily was hugging her mother, the two of them holding each other tightly. Emily kept on swearing, which was unusual for her, “You! Shameless fox, despicable woman, always seducing married men…”
Isabella stood at the doorway, momentarily unclear about the situation. Was Emily cursing at her? Or was she cursing at her own mother, Charlotte? Was she out of her mind?!
“Ma’am,” Ava saw Isabella return at this time and was afraid she would get involved, so she quickly pulled her upstairs quietly.
The living room was already in a mess, and no one noticed her.
Isabella followed Ava back to her room, unable to resist her curiosity, and asked, “Ava, what’s going on exactly?”
