I’ve been reviewing the camera footage from a week ago, and fuck me, I still see Sally leaving her room. And she had the audacity to claim she never left, that she was asleep in her room all night? The camera showed her returning, looking exhausted, her legs trembling like someone who had just been thoroughly fucked.
All this evidence points to one thing: Sally came to my room that night, and we fucked. It was no dream. A dream, my ass. She spoke-Sally actually spoke, and I still remember her voice so vividly.
“Shit!” I groaned, running my hands through my hair.
Have I mentioned that I haven’t seen her since that day we quarreled, when she slapped me so hard my face stung, leaving me with a headache for the rest of the day? Even meeting Malcolm Jr. didn’t help my foul mood.
I let out a rough sigh, grabbed my vape beside me, and when I tried to take a drag, I noticed nothing was coming out.
“Damn it, why did you have to be empty now?” I snarled, pushing it aside.
The vape should be glad I didn’t throw it against the wall and shatter it to pieces because the last thing I need right now is something adding to the whirlwind of emotions in my mind.
My phone rang, and my eyes shifted from the paused computer screen to my phone on the table beside it. I grunted, seeing that it was Yvonne. Why couldn’t she read the room and leave me alone?
I sighed deeply and picked up the call. “What is it, Yvonne?” I asked, anger tinging my voice. “Can you just calm the fuck down? If this is about-”
“Help me,” she whispered, her voice weak and shaky.
My body went cold, and I shot to my feet. “Yvonne? Where are you?” I asked, grabbing my jacket and rushing out the door, nearly forgetting to close it.
Yvonne didn’t respond, and I shouted her name several times on the phone, pleading with her to stay with me. I ran even faster, my heart skipping beats. I could only hope she was at home.
I finally reached her dorm, kicked the door open, and saw that she wasn’t there. I frantically searched the rooms, finally finding her unconscious in the bathroom. Vomit was everywhere-on the floor, the toilet, and even in her slightly open mouth at the sides of her lips.
“Please, please… stay with me. I beg you, stay with me,” I muttered, stubborn tears streaming down my face. I checked her pulse and found it was weak.
After performing CPR on her, she coughed, regaining consciousness, but she still seemed weak. “You scared me!” I yelled, not caring if that was the last thing she needed. “Why would you do that to yourself?! Fuck, Yvonne!”
“I’m sorry,” she sighed.
“Let me call an ambulance to take you to the hospital.”
She shook her head, grabbing my hand before I could press the call button. “I’m fine,” she whispered.
I frowned, my eyes narrowing. “No, you’re not. You nearly died.”
I held back from shouting, despite feeling even angrier. She gave me a small smile and whispered, “Get me my medicine. It’s in a brown jar inside my bag on the table.”
I nodded, got up quickly, and retrieved the medicine, hurrying back into the bathroom. I didn’t want anything to happen to her while I was gone, but when I returned, I found her leaning over the sink, spitting.
“What are you doing now?” I asked, grabbing her shoulder. “You never listen, do you?”
“I’m not vomiting, asshole,” she replied, gargling. “I’m rinsing my mouth. Don’t worry, this is normal. I was just too weak to get my meds. I forgot to take them when I was doing that shit.”
“Here,” I said, handing her the medicine. She turned with a frown.
“You didn’t bring a bottle of water?”
“Oh, sorry,” I muttered, quickly leaving and returning with one.
“You’re pretty fast,” she chuckled, taking two pills.
“Yvonne?” I called softly.
“Hmm?” She replied, wiping her wet lips.
“Can you stop now, please? You’re hurting yourself, and you’re hurting me and your family. I don’t know what I’d do if I lost you like I lost Mom.”
“Oh, please, we never lost Mom,” she snapped, rolling her eyes. “She lost us. Anyway, you won’t lose me. I’ll be fine.”
“Yvonne, I won’t do this anymore.”
“What?” She asked.
“I won’t hurt Sally anymore!”
“But you promised, asshole! You gave your word.”
“Stop yelling; you’re still recovering.”
“It’ll be your fault if anything happens to me.”
“That’s your problem, because I won’t do it.”
She glared, her eyes furrowed. “And why not?”
“Let’s make a deal instead?” I said, deflecting from her question.
“Alright, let’s hear it,” she replied, nodding.
“I’ll do everything you want to Sally. I’ll ruin, scatter, and wreck her life. I’ll even send you videos and pictures of us having sex if you want… But you have to do something for me.”
“What?” She asked.
“Change your weight-loss methods, Yvonne. Please! I’ll teach you how to do it. You can enjoy food, drink as much as you want, and even if you gain weight, you’ll still be fine. You’ll still be beautiful. You’ll still be you.”
Yvonne bit her bottom lip and nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Wait, you agree?” I asked.
“Yes,” she replied, rolling her sad, teary eyes. “Just do everything I tell you.”
“Of course!” I smiled, moving closer, opening my arms wide. “Can I give you a hug?”
“Yuck! Go away!” She yelled, pushing me away and running off while I chased her.
The laughter and the chase were all nostalgic. I didn’t want this to end. I was ready to do anything for her, just so I wouldn’t see this end. Just to make my sister happy.
