Jayden
Allison’s expression was incredulous. “What the hell? You’re lying, right?” she asked, and I gave her a serious look.
“Stop!” she screamed, covering her mouth with both palms in disbelief. “Are you being fucking serious right now?”
“Do you think I’d lie about that, Alli?” I scoffed, shaking my head in frustration.
“But… how did he find out?” she asked, stalling for time. “If he knew about us before now, why was he acting like he was… I don’t even know!” Allison groaned, pulling a chunk of her hair.
Her eyes narrowed as she stared at me. “Tell me how it happened. Please, you can’t just hide things from me. Oh my goodness, at this point, everyone in school is going to find out about us!”
I took a deep breath, raising my brows slightly. “I told him.”
“What!” she whisper-yelled, her eyes wide with outrage. “Are you mad? Why would you tell him such a thing? Are you crazy? Oh my goodness, you must have lost your mind!”
I held up my hands, trying to calm her down. “I’ll tell you why I told him,” I said, taking a step closer to her.
Allison shifted back, her eyes darting around the room nervously. “Hmm… Okay?”
I took another step closer, my face inches from hers. “He was my friend, so I told him,” I whispered, my voice low and husky.
There was silence for a moment, but she suddenly burst out laughing so hard and loud that I had to shut my eyes and grimace.
“Jayden, I’d be more likely to believe you if you asked me out than if you told me that lie. I’d even believe it if you told me that dinosaurs were still alive.”
I smirked and opened my eyes. “Can we date, baby?”
Her lips parted, and her eyes blinked only once. She swallowed hard, and in that moment of silence, I could hear her heart beating. I mean, we were close, so it was loud.
“Don’t tell me you believed that, Allison?” I laughed, shaking my head, causing a frown to appear on her face. “Anyway, you were the one who said you’d rather believe that than believe I told Colby.”
“Get out,” she snarled, pushing me away from her.
A small smirk appeared on my face as I nodded. “Fine, then. You really want to hear what really happened?”
“Like you even want to talk about it,” she scoffed, looking away, annoyed.
“I met him online,” I explained, my voice low. “We were friends in an anonymous gaming community. We shared secrets, and that’s how he found out.”
“You met Colby online?” she inquired, her eyes blinking faster than usual. “And you didn’t know it was him? You two are mad now, aren’t you?”
I shook my head. “It was on an anonymous gaming site. We didn’t know each other’s real identities. We decided to meet in person, and imagine how shocked we were when we found out who we were. Fucking hell, to think it’s that fucker who trained me to beat Victor?”
“Wow,” she gasped, surprised. “Colby and I have been friends and neighbors for years, and I didn’t even know he was a gamer.”
“You don’t know much about your friend, do you?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Allison hummed and looked away, her expression unreadable.
I leaned in, my eyes locked on Allison’s. “Do you want to hear what he told me? The secret he shared?”
Allison’s eyes met mine, but she said nothing. The silence between us was palpable, the tension hanging in the air like a challenge.
I leaned in closer, my face inches from Allison’s. She shifted back, centering herself on the bed. I whispered against her ear, my hot breath sending shivers down her spine. “Colby likes you, Allison.”
Allison turned to me, her expression unreadable. “I don’t fucking care,” she said, her voice low.
I pulled back, my eyes locked on hers. “Why?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Allison’s eyes seemed to swallow mine, and then she replied, “I like somebody else.”
The silence that followed was palpable. I couldn’t help but wonder who this person was. Who did she like? Was it someone I knew? Someone I hated?
My mind racing, I thought to myself, “If it’s him, she should forget about him. He’s not worth it.” But why was I feeling this way? This possessiveness?
Before I knew it, my lips were on hers, kissing her deeply. Everything else faded away as our lips moved in sync. The kiss was intense, passionate, and all-consuming.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. Only Allison fucking Bells did.
Allison broke the kiss, panting, and shifted back slightly, her chest heaving. I fought to hold back, my lips burning to capture hers again. For a moment, I just stared at her, my gaze intense and passionate. She could have seen me do this, but her eyes were still shut, so shut that she looked like a gentle butterfly.
“Fuck, let me kiss you,” I whispered, moving my lips closer, my voice husky with desire.
Allison’s eyes fluttered open, and she whispered, pushing back, “Wait.”
“What do you want?” I asked. “How long do I have to wait?”
Allison swallowed hard, her hand gripping the side of the bed tightly. She seemed to be gathering her courage to speak.
Before she could respond, I took her hands from the bed and wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling her closer. My hard bulge pressed against her exposed stomach, the crop top she wore offering little barrier between us.
“Tell me what you want,” I whispered, my lips inches from hers.
Allison’s voice was barely audible, but the words sent shivers down my spine: “Love me, Jayden.”
“What?”
I felt a surge of desire, and my eyes locked onto hers. “Please,” she whispered again, her voice trembling with need. “Please love me.”
