Chapter 1688: Hunting Vampires

Book:The Primus Of The Country Published:2025-4-9

Previously, Peter Gordon had used Daniel Williams to search for a Super Warrior, aiming to find a host for himself. However, Daniel Williams was later killed by Chris, cutting off that path entirely.
Unwilling to give up, Peter Gordon ordered the Blood Clan members stationed on Earth to assist him in searching for a host. Acting on his orders, the Blood Clan began a global hunt for a suitable candidate.
David and his group were among those tasked with searching the East Coast for a host. As vampires, they relied on consuming blood to survive. Upon arriving on the East Coast, they continued their search while feeding on human blood, leaving a trail of murders in their wake.
Their actions soon caught the attention of Lightning, the detective in charge of the East Coast Police Bureau, who decided to investigate the matter in secret. When David and his group realized they were being followed, they planned to silence Lightning permanently.
However, as they sent vampires to kill Lightning, they encountered Chris.
Chris acted decisively, killing more than a dozen vampires in a single confrontation. The heavy losses enraged David, prompting him to lead an attack on the police bureau that night, seeking revenge against Lightning.
What David didn’t expect was that Chris would also show up at the bureau.
Chris’s power was overwhelming, and David was no match for him. During the confrontation, Chris learned that David and his group had bribed members of the East Coast’s upper class to secure their presence in the city.
Upon hearing this, Chris turned to Lightning and said, “Lightning, I’m leaving this matter in your hands.”
Lightning gritted his teeth and replied, “Mr. Shelby, rest assured, I will make those traitors pay for what they’ve done.”
Glancing at David, Lightning asked, “Mr. Shelby, what should we do with him?”
Chris’s voice was cold. “Coming to my East Coast to cause trouble? None of them will leave alive.”
Bang!
With a single powerful stomp, Chris crushed David’s skull.
Chris then instructed Lightning, “These vampires didn’t come to the East Coast alone. I want you to investigate how many of them are here. Once you find them-kill them all. No mercy.”
“Yes!” Lightning nodded firmly, his face filled with murderous determination.

Meanwhile, in a villa on the outskirts of the East Coast, a red-haired man gritted his teeth in anger. “What did you say? David and his group are all dead?”
This man was Henry, a viscount of the Blood Clan. He was the leader of the vampires who had come to the East Coast.
In the Blood Clan hierarchy, vampires with noble titles were incredibly rare. Although David was a baron, the lowest rank, he was still not someone who could be easily killed.
A subordinate bowed respectfully and reported, “Viscount, based on our investigation, the one who killed David and his group is none other than Chris, the King of the East Coast. He’s the same man who disrupted Lord Peter Gordon’s descent to the human world years ago.”
Henry snorted coldly. “If Chris could kill David, it means his strength is formidable. Recently, the Radiant Faith Chapel has been hunting us everywhere. We can’t afford to clash with Chris right now. Spread the word-everyone is to leave the East Coast and move to other cities.”
“Yes, my lord!” the subordinate replied.
Although Henry deeply wanted to kill Chris, the increasing tensions between the dark world and the Radiant Faith Chapel made it too dangerous. The Blood Clan had long been a primary target of the Chapel’s purges. For their safety, Henry decided to retreat.

The next morning, Chris rose early.
He was certain the vampires wouldn’t leave quietly and would continue their crimes on the East Coast. As the King of the East Coast and Amerosia’s Primus, Chris could not allow the vampires to run rampant.
Determined to eliminate them, Chris called James Mester and ordered him to lead the East Coast Securities team in a full-scale search for the vampires.
With Bull Parker and the East Coast Guards missing, James Mester had taken over as the head of East Coast Securities.
Upon receiving Chris’s orders, James immediately launched a carpet search across the East Coast.
Chris smirked coldly and muttered to himself, “Blood Clan, you dare cause trouble on my territory? Do you not know whose land you’ve stepped on? Since you’ve come here to provoke me, I’ll make sure you regret it.”
It didn’t take long for James Mester to locate the vampires’ hideout.
Once he had the information, Chris prepared to wipe them out in one decisive attack.

On the outskirts of the East Coast, in an abandoned warehouse.
James Mester approached Chris with a respectful expression. “Mr. Shelby, according to our intelligence, the vampires are hiding inside this abandoned warehouse.”
James cherished his newfound leadership role within East Coast Securities and was determined to prove himself to Chris.
Chris took a deep breath, his face cold and resolute. “Surround the entire warehouse. No one is to make a move without my command.”
With a wave of his hand, James ordered nearly ten thousand elite members of East Coast Securities to surround the warehouse completely.
Curious, James asked, “Mr. Shelby, I thought vampires were afraid of sunlight. How are they active during the day?”
Chris explained, “Low-ranking vampires fear sunlight, but those with noble titles are only weakened by it-it doesn’t kill them. Besides, this abandoned warehouse has likely sat unused for years. The interior is completely dark, making it a perfect hiding spot for them.”
Under Chris’s orders, the warehouse was sealed off. To ensure success, James had deployed the most elite ten thousand members of East Coast Securities.
As Chris and James stepped out of their vehicle, James asked hesitantly, “Mr. Shelby, should I go in with you?”
Chris shook his head. “Stay outside and make sure not a single vampire escapes. If any of them make it out, kill them without hesitation. Understood?”
James nodded firmly. “Yes, Mr. Shelby!”
Despite his confidence in Chris’s strength, James couldn’t help but glance at Chris’s arms with concern. He knew Chris was powerful, but he also knew the vampires were no pushovers. With Chris missing both hands, James wondered if he could still prevail.
Chris exited the vehicle and walked toward the warehouse without hesitation.
There was no attempt at stealth-he strode in boldly.
Inside the darkened warehouse, countless pairs of eyes glowed, watching Chris’s every move.
Unbothered, Chris continued forward step by step.
