I took Ethan’s hand as he reached out to help me out of the car, which had been cruising for about half an hour after we disembarked from his private jet. After leaving the small town and getting the Alpha’s nod from my old Pack, where I stayed with the sisters, I followed Ethan.
This Pack is way more significant than the one I was part of. It’s not just werewolves; there are humans, too, and everything feels more mixed and diverse. As we made our way to the Pack House on the hillside, I couldn’t help but be amazed by how impressive this Pack really was.
As soon as I stepped out of the car, I was blown away by the stunning view of Ethan’s Pack House. It looked like a grand castle with its white and blue marble walls sparkling in the sunlight. The massive, sturdy pillars at the corners added to its impressive look, and the expansive courtyard was impeccably kept, watched over by a bunch of alert Wolf guards.
“What’s wrong? Don’t you like it here?” Ethan asked, and I quickly shook my head.
There was no way I could say anything negative about this place. From what I could see, the Pack House was absolutely incredible. Sure, it was a bit off the beaten path, away from the city’s chaos and other Pack activities. Still, it was so well-kept and surrounded by tall, shady trees that it felt like paradise.
Can’t help but be blown away by this fantastic view. The Alpha from the last Pack didn’t even have a Pack House that comes close to this one.
Ethan chuckled, letting out a casual breath. “He’s just an Alpha from a small town; there’s no way he can compete with what I’ve got.” His tone was pretty full of himself.
Sure, it sounds a bit cocky, and he definitely takes pride in it, but I have to admit Ethan’s achievements are impressive. He created a Pack of this scale while maintaining a sense of unity and fairness.
I didn’t bother replying to him. I just followed Ethan into the mansion. Once inside, I was again struck by the lavish decor and high-end furniture in the Pack House. Everything looked so luxurious, and watching the Pack warriors and Wolf guards rotate their shifts was truly impressive.
I got sidetracked when I spotted a big picture frame featuring a smiling couple dressed in silk outfits and ivory-white gloves, looking right at the camera.
“Who are they?”
“That’s Ethan’s parents, the Alpha and his Luna,” a woman answered my question.
I turned to see who spoke, and there she was-a tall woman with stunning long legs. She wore a black mini-dress with white lace on the chest, and the V-neckline highlighted her curves perfectly. Honestly, she was a real knockout. Her body was gorgeous, and her blue eyes sparkled in the sunlight, reminding me of a clear ocean.
For a brief moment, I was utterly captivated by her beauty. But that feeling of awe quickly faded into a pitiful whimper as I watched the woman and Ethan embrace and share a kiss, their affection evident in how they held one another.
“You’re back! How was your trip? Did that Alpha trouble you?” she asked Ethan, her tone suggesting they hadn’t seen each other in ages.
“They didn’t cause any issues,” he replied.
“Really? I’m so glad to hear that! I hope your business goes well this time, then…” Suddenly, her gaze shifted to me, and I was taken aback. Our eyes locked, and I felt spellbound by the depth of her stunning eyes.
I felt a knot in my throat as I swallowed hard. Ethan let go of the woman’s waist, and she started walking toward me, looking like a work of art herself. When I thought I was ready for anything, she surprised me by pulling me into a hug, her long fingers gently running through my hair. As she brushed my hair aside, she whispered softly in my ear,
“I’ve heard so much about you from Ethan. I’m really sorry about your family.”
Her words hit me hard, returning memories I was trying to push away. I fought back tears as we finally pulled apart. She smiled at me with such warmth, and I couldn’t help but notice how stunning she was, her delicate features perfectly capturing her essence.
“If you’re feeling worn out, I can show you to your room,” she offered with a kind smile.
Ethan looked confused, but he smiled and nodded at me, encouraging me to accept the woman’s invitation, even though I had no clue who she was.
The mansion was huge, decorated with fancy decor and super pricey stuff. I’m not used to places like this, but I get the social hierarchy that people like Ethan live by. It’s all about wealth and influence, or that’s how Alphas roll.
She led me to a room at the end of the hall. It was spacious, with an open window letting in tons of sunlight, making the whole place look stunning. There was also a big, tall mattress that seemed incredibly soft.
Starting tonight, this place is all yours. But if it’s not your vibe, just let me know, and we can switch things up.
“No way! This is more than enough.” I shot back right away. “I really love this room. Thank you so much.”
She smiled and gently patted my shoulder, not saying a word, just gazing at me for a few minutes until it got awkward. I found myself swallowing hard; her stare felt like it was peeling me apart, and it was starting to get a little intimidating.
“Dinner’s at seven. A servant will come by to let you know, so feel free to relax, shower, and change if you want,” she said while heading over to a closet near the bed.
She swung open the closet door, showing off a neatly hanging line of clothes. While it might not be as stunning as the outfit the woman wore, it’s still an adorable getup and the best I’ve ever owned.
“You can wear any of these clothes, and if you need anything, just grab the phone to call for some maids to assist you. Then-”
“Who are you, by the way?”
When I asked, the woman grinned and said, “I’m Lucy Torrance.”
