Ella’s POV
Dinner was ready, the house was clean courtesy of my hardworking boys and the boys were happily munching on their rewards. I hoped they wouldn’t mess up the whole place tomorrow again as there were a lot to do which we planned to start on tomorrow and I couldn’t afford to clean after them every time. I didn’t have the time to spare and I was going to get drained.
“You should eat your food before it gets cold, boys.” I warned them.
“We will.” They replied, still munching on their cookies and leaving their food untouched.
I sighed, hating that they were going to have to eat their food in its cold state but there was nothing I could do about that. It had been no one’s fault that the food had gotten ready at the time they finished tidying up the room. They had been slow with what they were meant to do but it was worth it as the house was in a much better state than it had been when their father and Liam had entered it.
I couldn’t blame Kevin for giving the boys their treats even though the food was ready as I had been there when they had been whining and disturbing him to give them the treats even though he had kept telling them to wait after eating.
They had promised him that they were going to eat their food if he gave them the treats but so far, they hadn’t made good on that promise.
“You should eat now and listen to mummy.” Liam said.
“When we finish this.” Nathan said.
I sighed. This wasn’t going to work. Their food was going to get cold that they were going to waste it. I couldn’t afford waste of food while we were here and I was too tired to put their food in a microwave.
I cleared my throat, doing it loudly and made sure that I had their attention. They looked at me with the cookies stuck in their mouths, their eyes shining with curiosity as they wondered what I was about to say.
I smiled wolfishly at them, letting them know that I meant everything that I was about to say. “If you don’t eat your food now and waste it because it gets cold, I will make sure your daddy doesn’t buy you anything again.”
That seemed to work as their eyes widened and they dropped their cookies immediately, pulling their plates towards them.
“We will eat, mum.” They said and started eating.
I smiled as I watched them eat. “Don’t rush yourself.” I cautioned them, watching as they stuffed their food into their mouth in a rush so they could be done on time and continue eating their cookies.
“Well done.” Kevin smiled at me.
I shrugged, feeling good about myself as I watched them eat. Even though I knew I had done my job, it was good to know that I had succeeded at it.
“What is the plan?” Liam asked as we rounded off work dinner and washed off the plates in the kitchen.
The boys had already finished their meals and had run to their bedroom so we wouldn’t disturb them with their cookies.
“I plan to go to schools around the vicinity to find the girl. Since Eliza gave us a map that leads to where she is, we can be sure that she would be somewhere around here. Considering her age, she should be in a school and hope to find her.” I said.
“How do you expect to find her?”
“If the boys lived in the human world, they would also be in a school and might be in the same class as the girl. I plan to use them to find the girl.” I said, laying out my plan to find the girl.
After all, it was their mate that I was looking for. I stopped that train of thoughts, reminding myself that I had already promised not to think that way.
“You will have a lot to deal with if you decide to take the boys on a tour round all the schools in the whole neighborhood.” Kevin said.
I nodded. “I know but it has to be done that way. I can buy the cookies you gave them today and give them tomorrow. That wouldn’t be a problem and would help keep them in a good mood. I wish I can ask you to accompany me but in the human world, you men are expected to be at work and it would raise some suspicion if we are seen moving around the neighborhood, going in and out of schools. We have to remember to lie low and not do anything to call attention to ourselves.”
“We shouldn’t.” The men looked at each other and nodded.
I nodded, waving my hands in the air and resting them on my laps. That settled it. I would be going to schools tomorrow with the boys. In a day, I should go to at least three to four schools and in a week if I was being consistent with my visits and fake pretence to get the boys registered in a school, I should be done with visiting all the schools in and around the neighborhood.
“We should go to bed. I have an early day tomorrow.” I said and stood up from where I was seated.
“I’m also going to bed.” Kevin said as he stood up after me.
“Good night, my lord and my lady.” Liam said, standing up and walking off towards his room.
I gasped as Kevin pulled me into his arms as we got into the room.
“Where did we stop the other time?” He grinned, tracing his fingers over my breasts.
“Kevin, what are you doing? I have a long day tomorrow.”
His grin didn’t shake off his mouth. “Which is why you need to be energized. Let me make you feel good so you can cope well with the stress tomorrow.”
I chuckled at his idea but as expected, I was more than welcome to it as I smiled as I fell into his arms and grinned against his lips as he placed his against mine.
