Chapter seventy-two(Disappointment)

Book:The Cursed She-Wolf Published:2025-4-7

Everyone was in the kitchen going about their duties when the door was pulled open and Iris and her minors walked in.
I ignored their entrance and continued with what I was doing.
Ryan wants to see me, so I am hurriedly doing everything that I am assigned to do so that I can go see him.
I felt a presence beside me but I ignored her and acted like I never noticed her.
“Isn’t it suspicious how a short hair kept glowing and growing every passing day,”
That was Iris’s voice and I knew that shade was directed at me.
“What are you talking about?” Naomi asked.
“Can’t you see….” Using her head, she nodded in my direction
Everyone now had their eyes fixed on me except Aria who spared me a quick gaze and continued with what she was doing.
I do fancy her personality, how she always detaches herself from this group of omegas and stays in her lane.
“I have noticed that and it is kind of suspicious,” Kaiden grumped.
“It glitters and that’s what surprises me,” Naomi said.
“But I like that….” Iris confessed.
She walked up to me and tapped me from behind.
“So can you tell me the ointment you do use in your hair,”
“I use nothing,” I countered.
“Come on, we all know that you use something because there is nowhere it is going to start shining all of a sudden,” she half yelled with a glare.
“I don’t understand what you are saying and what I use is not any of your business!” I latched at her.
I have had enough of her bullying nature and bossy lifestyle.
“Ooh! Is the gut for me!” Kaiden blurted.
“I see that you have grown a spine, right?” She snapped with an angry expression.
“Is because the king is showing small affection to you and you think that you can talk to me anyhow!!” She snapped furiously.
“I don’t have energy for your stunts and deeds,” I clapped back.
“Wow!!” The omegas hummed with surprise.
“You smelly pig…….
” Don’t you dare lay those filthy hands on her,” Aria yelled before Iris could slap me
“Says who?” Naomi snarled.
“Says I….” Aria tossed the towel she was using to clean her hands away and walked toward them with high shoulders.
“Who asks for your opinion, here?” Iris barks.
“I don’t need any of your permission before I invite myself because the supposed girl here is my friend,” she latches out at them.
“Haha……” Kaiden let out a devilish laugh.
“A one-sided friendship or what!” Naomi teased.
“If you like to call it anything it still doesn’t stop the fact that I won’t sit back and watch you people lay those dirty hands on her,” She maintained with the same expression.
They stared at their hands before Iris tried lugging toward her with anger and fury but she was held back by her minors and some omegas.
The fighting will result in severe punishments but Aria doesn’t care.
“Leave me to slaughter this mother fucker throat into pieces,” she yelled viciously.
“You won’t do anything, you are just barking!” Aria screamed in her face.
I was surprised at their outburst, this small thing doesn’t seem like something that can cause this whole thing.
These two seemed like enemies and they seemed like they were bearing grudges against each other because the amount of anger and resentment radiating out of them was much.
I was snapped out of my reverie state as I watched Kaiden rush toward Aria but she was held back before she could land a slap across her face.
“And you because the king started finding little interest in you, you thought that you had arrived,” Iris gritted her teeth angrily at me.
“He will still push you away, soon,” Naomi spit.
My jaw clenched angrily but I maintained my posture.
“Just shut up!!” Aria yelled at them.
“So bad because the king doesn’t find any of you interesting…… hahaha,” she slurred.
“Don’t you dare yell at me!!” Iris exclaimed.
“Let go of me! I need to beat this brat!” she shouted.
Naomi tried freeing Iris from those omegas but they caged her too, earning a dangerous snarl from them.
“What about you?” Iris glared with heavy breathing and anger.
“What about me?” Aria smirked devilishly.
I flinched back, this is the first time that I am seeing her fierce side.
“You act all nice but I know your motive!!” Iris blurted.
“A motive!” Aria arched her eyebrow in confusion.
“I know that you have a thing for the king,’ Kaiden blurted, gaining my attention.
“The king…..” She seemed confused.
“Don’t pretend like you don’t know what I am saying,” Iris snapped.
“You have always had a crush on the king!”
“Tell me why Miss Bianca detests your presence so much?” Naomi latched at her.
My eyes widened at the confession going on around the room.
“I have no idea what you are talking about,” Aria defends.
“Then what do you need to say about Ava?” Iris smiled wickedly when still struggling to free herself.
“Ava,” I mumbled.
“Yes! Ava the girl she hated just because the king showed a little interest in her back then,”
“What!!” I mumbled.
“Yes! She became her friend just to snatch the king away but so bad because both of them got pushed away from the king,” Iris professed.
“Ooh! What….!!” The crowd screamed with surprised looks.
“You bloody liar!!” Aria tried rushing toward her before she was held down by the remaining omegas.
“You ruined her!!” Iris yelled.
I staggered back with my hand half covering my mouth.
“Just the same way you will ruin her….” She points at me.
“The king will soon push you away,” Kaiden snarled.
“Who is Ava and what are they talking about, Aria?” I searched for her eyes and to tell me that they were lying.
“For years we haven’t seen or heard from her,” she said.
“And!”
“I……. I……
“And!!!…. Tell me that none of this is true, Aria,”
“Calm down and hear me out, Ashley,”
“There is nothing to hear about…… I am just happy that I didn’t give you the chance that you needed,” I snarled.
I noticed her fall to the floor heartbroken.
“What a sight?” Iris smirks mischievously.
I glared at all of them before walking out of the place.
