With anger and fury, I stride inside the queen’s chamber knocking or making my presence known.
“How dare you!!
The word got stuck in the tip of her tongue as I walked in.
” Bianca…” She seemed surprised.
“Why are you surprised? Are you not happy to see me?”
“Oh! No no…” she waved it off with her hands.
“I am glad is just that you are supposed to knock,”
“Or did you forget that?” She mumbled.
“Sorry, Queen mother,” I quietly muttered.
No matter how angry I am, I can’t talk to her anyhow. She can have me killed within a minute.
Despite how special she treats me, she is indeed an evil and cold-hearted creature. I think that is why she was able to recognize Juliet easily, two deadly creatures know themselves when they boom into each other.
“Good but I wasn’t expecting you,”
“Or did anything happen?” She raised her brow.
“I came for a reason queen mother,”
“And,” she drawled.
“Something bothers me,” I confessed.
“Ooh! And what is it that troubles my baby?” She engulfed me in a hug before motioning for me to sit.
“Thank you,” I mumbled.
“You are welcome,”
“So what is it that has you troubled?”
“Is about the plan,”
“What about it, dear, come on, speak up?” She urged.
“Is about Juliet……
I didn’t get to finish as I felt the doorknob twisted with the demon walking inside, name the demon, and here she comes.
“Ooh!…. This one all of you don’t knock before entering. Is that your plan?” She glanced at the two of us narrowly.
“My apology queen mother,”
“The powerful and dominant creature in existence,” she hails with a dazzling smile.
I knew that behind all those smiles lay a manipulative and deadly being, I still don’t understand how the mother was not able to see through her lies.
She has a plan, a deadly one for that.
” That’s me! Only me!!” Queen Rebecca grunted with euphoria.
“You can join us,” she pointed to the other vacant chair.
“Thanks,” she mumbled all smiley.
My anger fumes with my jaw strongly clenched.
“We are having a private discussion that requires privacy,” I motioned for her to leave.
“Should I go queen mother?” She turned with her eyes also watering.
I glared at her mentally, what does she think she is doing? Acting all nice as if I am the wrong one here.
“Why should you go?”
“We were discussing the plan before you walked in,” Queen Rebecca said.
“Won’t don’t see the reason why you should leave since we are all on the same team,”
I grit my teeth together with my fist curled up under the table, I watched a teasing smile across Juliet’s lips as she spared me a quick glance before relaxing in her chair.
“So you were talking about something,” the queen mother said to me.
“Huh!!” I was surprised at my response.
“You said that you are troubled and you said something about Juliet,” she muttered.
Juliet narrowed her gaze at me with the queen mother’s gaze fixed on me, the unsettling gaze wasn’t helping at all.
“Huh! Hmmm….” I forced out a smile.
“What about Juliet?” The queen mother asked.
“Nothing, I was about to ask you where she was before she walked in,” I lied with a nervous smile.
What is wrong with me?
Why do I seem nervous all of a sudden?
I am a Lycan and she is an ordinary wolf but why am I so scared that she can easily lead me to my doom? I gulped nervously and looked away, I don’t want to see those pathetic smiles on her face.
“So why are you troubled?”
It seems like the Queen mother isn’t going to allow this topic to slide easily. I think I need to make up something to tell her, I allowed my mind as it ran clockwise thinking about what to say.
“I am just bothered about Ryan,” I mumbled with a troubled voice.
“What about him?”
“He hasn’t spoken with me for days now,” I fibbed.
“Hmm….” I noticed Juliet chuckle slightly beside me.
I quickly glared at her but she relaxed like she doesn’t know what I am talking about. I know that she can see through my words that they are lies but I don’t give a damn about her.
“I am also troubled,” Queen Rebecca mumbled.
“Seems like everyone is troubled,” Juliet said.
“But I bet you guys that being troubled isn’t the best solution to that,”
“So what’s the best solution?” I indirectly snarled.
She shrugged and ignored me, “We need to put in action and work harder to execute our plans,”
I roll my eyes at her mentally, is the gut for me.
“That’s true but the problem is how do we do that?” Queen Rebecca adjusts her chair a bit.
“Leave everything to me just follow my signal,” she winked.
“We need to know the plan,” I uttered when giving her the gaze that I knew what she was doing.
She smiled at me before diverting her attention to the queen mother, “As I said, leave everything for me……”
“We are in the same team, so we will work this all out together,” I state.
“Bianca is right on this one Juliet,” the queen mother defended.
“Hmm…..” I grunt with a triumphant smile on my face.
But the witch smiled and stared back at the queen mother, “I don’t like disclosing my plans to people especially when it is this intense…… I love seeing the surprised look on their faces,”
“I know but just tell us the hint,” she said.
“Just know that everything will be carried out before this month runs dry,” she announced, earning a nod from the queen mother.
“What!!” I gaped at them.
How could the queen mother accept just like that?
Is this the fierce, smart, powerful woman 5hat I knew? Or is she under a spell because this isn’t right?
I don’t trust that girl for a second, whatever she has in mind is deadly and never a decent thing.
