Queen Rebecca’s pov:
It was almost dawn, if you look carefully, you could see me sitting beside my window with a glass of wine in my hands. My mind glazes in thoughts as I keep wishing I could find a solution or a way to put an end to the relationship going on between my son and that brat.
Standing up I walked toward the mirror and kept staring at my reflection. My brow twitched in a deep frown as I made a noise out of anger not sure if it was a scream or cry.
“I am done!
“Why is this one so hard for me to handle?”
“I am the great Queen Rebecca, the fierce queen….. So tell me why this one is so hard for me to handle?”
I clenched my palms in fists with my eyes shut, a huge lump moved up and down my throat. My anger fumes as the idea of not knowing what to do haunt me. I was well known for my mercilessness, smartness, and what happens whenever I oppose things. In this kind of situation, I seemed confused. That girl had me confused for nothing.
She can not come and ruin my son or his reputation, how can my son stoop so low to start hanging around with that fly? I drew my eyes open when I heard a knock at the door.
“Come in…..” I permitted her after some hours of silence from my side.
The doorknob twisted open as Juliet, if I could remember vividly, walked in. My eyes went wild as I stared at her. I couldn’t remember inviting her though, we haven’t had an interaction that could result in the sudden visitation.
“Hello, Queen mother,” she slightly bowed.
“Yea…… I mean yes!!”
“Yes! …..” Her eyebrow drew up.
“I mean why are you here?”
“You don’t like it that I came to visit you,” though she sounds hurt but her face gives it away. Using my hands I gestured for the guard to leave.
“This is the first time that you are visiting me, hope everything is fine?”
“Of course everything is fine,”
“How do you know my chamber?” I asked when motioning for her to sit down beside me.
“Nothing is too hard for me to handle,” she mumbled with a chipped tone. Her word got my attention, what does she mean by that nothing is too hard for her to handle? I know that she defeated that ugly monster and took her mate but still, she seemed to me like a vicious creature and I love that about her.
“You looked worried, queen mother,” she said when leaning to sit down.
“Am good trust me,” I prevaricate, how do I tell her that I need her assistance more like help to handle a little girl? That will be a slap on my face.
“Despite not being close to you, I could detect when you are sad,” she said.
“Come on, you can trust me. I am not a snitch,”
“We all know that you are a snitch,”
“To her then not to you,” she laughed.
“Yea! Though I still wonder how you were able to pull that stunt back then,”
“As I said, queen mother, nothing is too hard for me to handle,” she brags. I am tempted to tell her the truth, my worries but I am scared of doing so.
“Come on, you can tell anything and I could help in a way that I can weather through reasoning or action,” she winked with a silly smile.
“Fine!…” I breathe out. “I had a problem that had me confused,” I mumbled after several hesitations. She adjusts at my words with her full attention fixed on me.
“Something had the great queen mother confused……. Then that is going to be serious though,” she mumbled.
“You remembered what happened that day right?” I asked.
“Something like…..” Her lips twitched in thoughts.
“About that small omega and my son Ryan,”
“Ooh! About that….. Yes,” she nodded her head.
“I want to separate them,” I snarled.
“Is that what is making you confused…….. Is so small to make the queen mother worried,” she teased but I ignored her.
“Not that I can’t have that fly burnt in a minute is just that I don’t know how to do it without my son’s knowledge,” I state.
“Ooh!…..” She went quiet as I watched her eyes twinkle in thoughts with her hands rubbing her temple.
However, after several hours of thinking, she turns towards me with a wicked smile across her lips.
“We can have her kidnapped,” she muttered.
“Let her be kidnapped to where exactly?”
“Come on! Queen mother, you aren’t supposed to be asking all this…….. You are smarter than this,” her words hit me differently. I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable suddenly.
“Yeah! I just mean how do we go about this?”
“We can arrange a group of guys from my pack to abduct her,”
“See the way you are talking……. How do you expect them to enter without Ryan having a notice?”
“Come on!!” She sounds annoyed.
“You are the queen mother, that means you still have some authority over the guards……. Let the guys enter in form of that they were looking for you like they needed to work for you on something,”
“Work for me and I didn’t call my pack members, think of that…..”
“Okay fine! The second plan is for you to help them sneak in without anyone noticing,”
“Our packs are heavily guarded by our trusted warriors,”
“Come on, you can pay off this whole thing,” she shrugged off.
“Okay, thanks for the advice…..”
“You welcome, queen mother,” she smirked.
“You know that I have always wanted to think of something sensible but I couldn’t…… thanks once again,” she nodded with a smile.
Our attention moved directly to the door as we felt it pulled open by Bianca. Condition flashed across her face as she glanced at the two of us.
“Come sit here, my sweet daughter-in-law,” I called.
“I have great news that will brighten your face,” I giggled.
With confusion and difficulty, she started walking toward us, her eyes tingling with hatred as she glanced at Juliet who just shrugged her shoulders with a mischievous smile across her lips. Their behavior got my attention but after a series of thoughts, I decided to let it slide.
“Sit…..” I instructed.
“What’s the news all about and why is she here?” Sitting down, Bianca questioned non-stop.
“Calm down first,” I hushed.
“To calm down when she is here!” She tackled.
“I don’t know what is going on here but I don’t want it ruining our day,” I mumbled. Juliet still has a look of mockery in her eyes.
“Our day!!” Bianca was aghast.
“Yes! Our day,” Juliet cuts in with the same facial expression.
“I never asked you,” Bianca glared.
“Fine! Fine!” I mumbled.
“Juliet here will be joining us on the mission of separating that fly and my son Ryan,”
“She!!” She seemed surprised.”But you said no third party,”
“Yes! But she brought a solution that I couldn’t get within a minute,” I sounded embarrassed.
“But we are going to follow her amazing ideas,” she states.
“I can’t….” She banged on the table.
“You can’t do what?” Juliet and I perked up our eyes.
“I can’t work together with her……. I don’t think that I can handle staying around her without slashing her head off,” Bianca fumes with anger. Whatever Juliet did to have outraged her might be something serious.
“Then do you have any idea on how to do this?”
She suddenly went quiet before Juliet jumped in with a slurred tone, “She has no idea…..” The mockery in her tone can’t be mistaken.
“Don’t you!!” Bianca rumbled.
“Stop it, Bianca,” I hushed her before she could try something stupid.
“No matter what you do……. Juliet here will be joining us besides is for your own good, so endure it and trust me when I say that soon you two will become best of friends,” I openly declared with a phony smile.
“Whatever……” she grunted with her hands angrily folded together.
