“Boohoo-”
At this moment, Sophia was crying bitterly, feeling that she got Darnell killed.
Ricardo frowned. He heard the screams earlier, but they didn’t sound like they came from Darnell.
However, he didn’t dwell on it much, assuming it was just Darnell’s voice trembling in fear before death.
The plump woman looked smugly at Sophia. “What are you crying for? That guy has definitely been fed to the dogs by now. You’d better behave yourself too, or you’ll be next.”
She kicked the iron cage and shouted at the other women and children, “The same goes for all of you. Accept your fate and behave yourself, or I’ll throw you in there.”
Dozens of women and children didn’t dare speak, looking terrified.
Sophia’s tears flowed even more freely. She felt she had caused Darnell’s misfortune and that she should have listened to him and not gone to the bookstore alone.
That way, she wouldn’t have dragged Darnell down.
“What are you crying for?”
Seeing Sophia cry again, Ricardo glanced at the time, feeling irritated. “Drag her over here.”
“How dare you report to the police?! You almost led the police to our hideout in the bookstore.”
“I can’t shake off this frustration without getting a little something from you.”
“Today is a rare gathering with my brothers. I’ll demonstrate my skills in bed.”
Everyone laughed at this, whistling as they waited for the live version of an erotic painting.
Hearing this, Sophia became terrified. “No, you can’t touch me.”
She tried to find something to defend herself or commit suicide but found she had nothing.
Ricardo instructed two subordinates, “Drag her out.”
“Whoosh!”
Just as his subordinates were about to go drag Sophia out, a figure shot like a meteor from the corridor exit, with two flashes of knife light whistling through the air.
Two strong women walking toward the iron cage suddenly shuddered and fell to the cold floor, each with a small knife stuck in her neck.
Tomas’ knives?
The crew-cut man instinctively shouted, “What’s going on?”
Before the crew-cut man and Ricardo could react, the attacker who had landed on the ground pushed off the floor, his body violently spinning and shooting forward.
His palm launched two more sharp small knives. With two sharp sounds, two men who were drawing their knives shuddered, clutching their bloody eyes and falling to the ground screaming.
The shrill cries immediately made everyone’s hearts tremble.
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!”
The attacker killed four people, intimidating the people present, but he didn’t stop there. He kicked the nearby van, using it as leverage to slide across the hood.
Both hands waved.
“Whoosh!”
This knife cut the throats of two enemies who had pulled out hunting rifles. The next second, he threw another knife, the blade flashing, and two more men in front had their throats cut.
They swayed like drunk men before collapsing to the ground.
In the pale light, Darnell’s clothes billowed dramatically. Though his face was wrapped in black cloth, his eyes still revealed an indescribable ferocity, cruelty, and viciousness.
Half-kneeling on the ground, he touched his waist and produced two more knives. With a flick, he aimed directly at Ricardo and the crew-cut man.
His momentum was unstoppable.
“Clang!”
Ricardo and the crew-cut man could feel the deadliness of the flying knives. Their faces changed as they almost simultaneously dove to the ground.
They managed to avoid the knives by an extremely narrow margin, but the two people behind them had no time to react. With two screams, they clutched their chests and died miserably.
In the semi-enclosed space, Darnell spilled the blood of ten people, filling the air with the smell of blood.
“Kill him! Kill him!”
Ricardo and the crew-cut man didn’t know who this guy was, but seeing him suddenly appear and kill so many men, even a fool would know he was an enemy.
They immediately issued orders to their subordinates to kill Darnell on the spot, both to avenge their fallen brothers and to silence him.
If Darnell didn’t die tonight, they would die tomorrow.
“Whoosh, whoosh!”
Darnell threw his electric baton, knocking out the last enemy who was pulling out a gun.
Then, he picked up a machete.
By this time, three sturdy men had surrounded him, slashing with their machetes without a word.
“Clang, clang, clang!”
Darnell shook his right hand, directly sending two machetes flying. Then he sidestepped, avoiding the heavy third slash.
The attacker missed.
Darnell turned his machete and stabbed it into the third man’s abdomen. As the latter spat out a mouthful of blood, Darnell took his machete.
With a flick, the machete flew out like lightning.
One person couldn’t dodge in time. The machete hit his chest, blood splattered, and with a miserable cry, he fell to the ground.
Darnell kicked away the enemy he had stabbed to death, making him crash into the plump woman who was rushing over.
As the two tumbled together, he pointed his toe and slid over the plump woman’s body, directly slashing her waist with his blade.
Blood gushed forth.
“Ah-”
As the plump woman let out a shrill scream, Darnell’s left foot kicked back, sending her flying to block two pursuers behind him.
He took the opportunity to close the distance with the crew-cut man and Ricardo.
The crew-cut man gripped his knife tightly, while Ricardo’s eyes flashed as he shouted, “Be careful!”
Then, the crew-cut man saw a mountain of blades coming at him.
Darnell had slashed eight times.
Unable to retreat, the crew-cut man roared fiercely, raising his thin knife to block with full force.
The two blades collided, making a clanging sound as sparks flew!
The lights shone toward them, illuminating the environment of their fight and revealing the crew-cut man’s pale face.
“Clang!”
With a crisp sound, the crew-cut man finally couldn’t withstand Darnell’s machete. His arm went numb, and his knife fell to the ground.
After Darnell had unleashed eight slashes in one breath, he suddenly roared, and the ninth slash came down without hesitation.
Blood sprayed, reddening the night sky. With one slash, Darnell sent a large head flying.
The crew-cut man was beheaded, falling to the ground with a thud.
As his enemies’ expressions froze, Darnell let out a long howl, stepped sideways, and suddenly turned, tightening his hands for another slash.
He aimed directly at Ricardo who was trying to ambush him.
The light flickered, and a white flash seemed to infuse into his knife tip. His slash looked as if it could break through anything.
Ricardo’s ambush knife had almost reached Darnell’s waist, but seeing Darnell turn his body and slash, he could only try to block.
His knife might have seriously wounded Darnell, even disemboweling him, but Darnell’s slash was also enough to cut him in half.
He didn’t want to die.
Ricardo pulled back his knife to block, but as the blades touched, he inwardly cursed. Darnell’s two-handed slash was something he could never withstand.
“Clang!”
Ricardo shifted his feet, desperately dodging. His wrist went numb, and he was already unable to block Darnell’s attack. His knife was broken by Darnell.
The blade didn’t stop. This slash landed right on Ricardo’s shoulder, severing his entire arm.
“Ah-”
Ricardo screamed miserably, rolling backward and crashing into a cart before falling and coughing blood.
Darnell didn’t stop there. His left foot swept, a knife shot out, and he took down the man with a gold chain trying to ambush him…
Ten minutes later, the entire warehouse fell silent. Except for Ricardo who was lying on the ground still able to breathe, the plump woman and everyone else were all dead.
Blood flowed, dimming even the light. Sophia and the others widened their eyes, their terror no less than when they were first captured.
They had never seen such a brutal, bloody scene. This shocking turn of events made them forget even to vomit.
Darnell slashed again, cutting Ricardo’s hamstring. Then, he picked up Ricardo’s phone and called the police.
“Everyone, stay calm. The police will be here in ten minutes. Goodbye.”
After finishing all this, Darnell turned and left the warehouse. Sophia couldn’t see Darnell’s face clearly, but his tall figure seemed familiar to her.
Walking outside the warehouse, Darnell took out his own phone, sent Callum several photos of the scene, and then sent a text message.
“Luck is on our side. Let’s not waste this opportunity.”
