Chapter 719: I Came to Be Honest

Book:Wrong Invitation For My Mr Right Published:2025-4-2

Tilda really didn’t like this kind of flip-flopping.
And on top of that… it was really hard to tell her parents.
Tilda regretted it! The decision to meet Johnny was too hasty, without much thought. Actually, what she should have done was secretly arrange an appointment to terminate the pregnancy and move on.
But now that she had already agreed to meet, she couldn’t stand him up, could she?
She might as well listen to what Johnny wants to say and then make a decision.
On her way, Tilda couldn’t help but wonder if he chose to meet at the hospital because he wanted to take her to see the surveillance footage as evidence of his innocence.
After all, based on his previous attitude towards Caroline, it didn’t seem like there was any further connection between them! She speculated that maybe his friend asked him to help take care of Caroline…
Could it be that Johnny couldn’t refuse but was afraid of making her angry, so he turned off his phone?
Countless thoughts rushed through her mind, and no matter what she did, she didn’t feel right.
Just a few hours after they broke up, Tilda felt that Johnny had aged. The sparkle in his eyes and the vitality vanished. His tall figure was slightly hunched over. Leaning against the car, he held a cigarette between his fingers, adding a touch of desolation.
Even so, several passing girls still glanced at him frequently.
Tilda was speechless. This jerk was never short of women by his side. As a result, he never learned to cherish others.
Mrs. Chow didn’t lie. His hands were covered in gauze with traces of blood seeping through. It seemed like he vented by smashing things after she left.
This man’s emotions were never stable!
When Johnny saw Tilda, he immediately stood up straight and threw away the cigarette, stomping it out.
Tilda didn’t expect to break up in the morning and meet again in the afternoon. It was a bit awkward.
“You… you came to the hospital to see your cousin?”
“How did you know?”
“I called your dad. He told me.” Johnny lowered his eyelashes and avoided looking at her.
Tilda furrowed her brows slightly but didn’t say anything, which could be taken as a yes.
The two of them fell into silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts.
Finally, Tilda grew impatient. “Weren’t you here to talk about something? Why aren’t you saying anything?”
Johnny lowered his head even more.
“I don’t know how to start…”
“If it’s so difficult to say, then there’s no need to say it.” Tilda still thought he wanted to reconcile with her, which was why he hesitated.
Seeing his conflicted appearance made her inexplicably annoyed.
If he hadn’t made up his mind yet, why bother coming to find her?
Tilda turned around and was about to leave when Johnny acted quickly and grabbed her wrist. “Tilda, wait! Let me think about how to phrase it!”
“If you can’t even be honest with me, I think we don’t need to see each other again.”
“I came here to be honest!” Johnny was getting anxious. The words got stuck in his throat and couldn’t come out. “Didn’t you have something to tell me too? You go first.”
“You’re the one who called me first. You go first.” There was no way Tilda would tell him about the pregnancy first!
She wanted to see what attitude Johnny would have towards it.
“Well then… I’ll just say it.” His throat tightened as he spoke in a dry voice, “Um… it’s about Caroline.”
Caroline again!
Tilda thought he was going to talk about getting back together!
“Why does she always have to come between us?!” Tilda furrowed her brows. “Are you sure she’s your ex-girlfriend?”
