“Why are you yelling? I lost because of you!” I yelled, turning around to see him.
He stood next to the bed, holding a pillow in hand but something was hanging onto it.
And it was my bra, the one I wore to bed last night!
What’s it doing there? I thought I told Susan to clean the room properly.
Skylar blinked at it for several times before turning around to look at me.
“Is…. is this yours perhaps?” he stuttered, holding the pillow in hand while the bra hung.
I could feel my embarrassment rushing through the roof. He didn’t have to ask me, did he? It’s my room after all.
I quickly got up on my feet and ran over to his side and snatched the bra away from his hand. “Yeah, it’s mine. Sorry about that.”
“Oh, uh, it’s okay, it’s very much normal. I also….. have clothes scattered all over my room at home. I don’t blame you.”
“Start a different game. I’d like to have a match again,” I replied.
“Uh, sure…”
He went back to sit carrying the pillow in hand and I kept the bra in the drawer.
I could still feel a bit shy but forgot about it when I started playing again. I didn’t realize how time flew by when having fun.
It was almost lunchtime, but I didn’t feel like eating or leaving the room. Unless the maids came to call us, I wouldn’t even realize it was lunchtime.
“Aren’t you going to eat? They told us to come downstairs fast.” He inquired, with his hands on the console and eyes glued to the screen,
“Yeah, I heard them. You can go and eat. I’m not hungry yet,” I replied.
“What? Why would I even eat without you? No way. I’m staying.”
“Huh, don’t be mad,” I replied, looking at him. “If you are hungry you gottaalright, let’s go eat. Put down the game,” I suggested and he listened.
Going downstairs we sat down at the dining table together. The maids started serving, we chatted a lot at that time.
I was being a chatterbox around him which I don’t do usually. After eating, we went to take a walk in our garden. He picked up a small daisy and kept it on my hair as an ornament.
Then, we went back to playing games again. The afternoon passed by in the blink of an eye.
The last time I checked the clock, it was around 5 p. m. and that was pretty late considering at which time he came.
Finally, it was time for him to go home and say his goodbyes today.
But, I didn’t want him to leave.
We ended up chatting a bit till 6 p. m. And it made us know about each other so much.
“Alright then, I’m leaving. See you at college tomorrow.” He said, smiling at me.
“Yeah, sorry for making you stay for too long.”
“Nah, I loved it. Your maids are pretty welcoming and cute as well. I may come back for a second time.”
“Yeah, please come. I’dl love to have you around. And I hope, Rosalia can come as well. Cause I haven’t made any other friends yet.”
“You can ask her, but I need to go. See you then, thanks for having me over.” He held out his hand.
“It was my pleasure.” I shook his hand with a smile.
Right when we were on our way towards the door, I heard the sound of a car pull over.
Don’t tell me that’s Dave!?
“Did your dad come back home just now?” Skylar asked, looking at me.
I didn’t know how to react, but my face looked pale.
“Uh…I don’t know…. maybe?”
How do I send him out right in front of their eyes? Aren’t I in trouble now?
I looked around and found no help.
“I can’t leave right without seeing them. Let me stay for a bit longer,” he pleaded. And there goes my chance to say not today.
“Uh, hm, sure. You can meet them. But, I don’t know whether they would like to meet you….” I trailed off.
He looked at me puzzled, “What do you mean? They don’t want me here?”
“Well, I didn’t exactly say that. It’s just I haven’t told my dad you’d be here. I only told my mom. So”
“Ugh, finally I’m home. I’m so tired,” Dave’s voice drew my attention.
I looked in the direction of the door and saw him walking towards us with Mom beside him.
They are back together. Great! I’m cooked!
How am I going to explain this to Dave?
Suddenly, they spotted us. Dave’s reaction turns serious the very minute.
Mom’s eyes widened in shock. She was probably trying to tell why didn’t he leave yet.
“Oh, I didn’t know I had a guest over,” Dave comments, standing face-to-face with me and Skylar. “Did you forget to tell me that perhaps, Aileen?”
My palms were getting sweaty out of nervousness.
“Uh…. I…I didn’t mean to…..”
“Or did you bring him to the house without letting anyone know on purpose?” he inquired.
“Um, Alpha, please me introduce myself,” Skylar interrupted, with a short bow, “I’m Skylar Clarke, and Aileen is my best friend and classmate. Nice to meet you.”
