Chapter 717: Should I Keep It?

But Tilda couldn’t get over the fact that Johnny intentionally turned off his phone!
If he had said that Caroline was in trouble and needed his help, Tilda would have agreed to let him go. But he deliberately kept it from her, and this inevitably made Tilda doubt their relationship.
Even if there was nothing between them, she couldn’t utterly trust him.
Forget it.
Maybe she wasn’t even pregnant. Why bother thinking about these unnecessary things?
“Tilda Wales!”
Hearing her name called, Tilda quickly got up, pulled down her hat brim, and walked towards the consultation room.
Other pregnant women usually came to the hospital with two or three companions, but Tilda was alone, even with a mask and hat on. It was quite rare and attracted a few curious glances from passersby.
She hurried her steps into the consultation room, surprising the doctor with her appearance.
“Is it cold outside?”
“No…”
“Did you come alone?” The doctor quickly recovered from her surprise and began asking about her basic condition.
“Yes.”
“If the test comes back positive, will you keep it or not?”
The female doctor’s tone was cold and flat, without any emotions, since she asked this question hundreds of times a day.
Tilda, who had never been here before, was a bit dazed by the question. “Do I have to decide now?”
She thought she would have to wait for the test results before being given some time to consider it!
The female doctor pursed her lips and looked up at Tilda. “Here’s how it works. If you decide to keep it, many tests cannot be done. If you decide not to keep it, we can do an ultrasound to determine if you are pregnant and confirm the gestational age and embryo size, as well as which type of abortion would be suitable.”
Tilda was stunned.
It turned out that there were many things to take into consideration!
“If you can’t decide, follow the procedure for now.”
“Okay.” Tilda nodded.
“Go pay first, then come back after all the tests are done.”
“Alright.”
Tilda left the consultation room, feeling uneasy.
She felt as if there was a weight on her chest, choking her.
She hesitated for a moment and suddenly wanted to call someone. Even just hearing someone’s voice would calm her nerves!
But she couldn’t tell her parents or her cousin. Johnny… it wasn’t appropriate for him to come now. So Rosalind was the only option.
But she wasn’t in the country yet.
After a moment of hesitation, Tilda still dialed Rosalind’s number.
“Rosalind…”
“What’s wrong?”
“I broke up with Johnny.” Tilda didn’t tell her about her visit to the obstetrics and gynecology department. “I just wanted to let you know.”
“Why?!” Rosalind sounded surprised on the other end.
“I’ll tell you after you’re back. When are you coming home?”
“I should be landing in Northville City tomorrow.”
Tilda fell silent for a moment before speaking up again, “Okay, I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”
After hanging up the phone, she looked through her contacts again and confirmed that there was no one else she could chat with. Then she went for the tests.
She did a blood test, an ultrasound, and other necessary tests.
Several hours passed during all these examinations.
Mr. Wales called in between and asked why she hadn’t arrived at Malcolm’s place yet. Tilda said she was hungry and grabbed something to eat before heading there.
She returned to the area near the examination rooms and waited for them to call her inside.
After waiting for nearly five minutes, a cold voice sounded. “Tilda Wakes, please come in.”
