RACHEL’S POV
She angrily got out of the car as the driver brought her home. Ignoring his goodnight greeting, sfe walked into the house.
At the parlor, she took off her shoes and flung them in different directions. Next, she threw her purse on the sofa before ascending the stairs. She got to her room and got out of her clothes, and walked into the bathroom.
She walked out naked with water dripping down her body. She made her way to the closet and slipped on a night gown before walking to stand by the window.
Never has she been humiliated the way she was that day. Worse of all, by a mere teenager. The little girl had dared and disrespected her, and She, Rachel Sparks, will teach her an unforgettable lesson.
Walking to her drawer, she brought out a case that contained cigarettes and a lighter. It’s been ages since she mast smoked, but tonight, she was craving the feeling so badly.
She lit the cigarette and immediately took a drag. She erupted in a cough as the smoke almost suffocated her.
After a while, she became stable and she continued to taking drags after drags and puffing the smoke into the air. No one messed with her and goes Scot free.
The little girl had crossed the line and she had run out of the virtue called patience. She would retaliate, and this time, she doesn’t mind how dirty she had to play.
She dropped the last of the five cigarettes in the ashtray and walked to bed. Tomorrow was another day, and she needs to sleep to be able to come up with a nice revenge plan.
The next morning, she hurriedly prepared and left for work. She got to work and after going through her schedule for the day, she got on a call with Max.
“I want her out of the way,” She said, immediately he picked the call.
“Yo! Who do you want out of the way?”
“The little girl.”
“Hold on…by out of the way, you mean eliminate?”
“Yes. Eliminate. I want her to cease to exist.”
“I think you’re taking this thing too far.”
“Shut the fuck up? You think? Did I ever ask for your opinion?”
“I know…”
“Save it. It seems you are forgetting something. I employed and pay your salary. That ultimately means you get to do my biddings.”
“Yo, it’s all good. How do you want it done?”
“Now you are talking like my employee. I want it to seem like an accident. In a way, no one would suspect.”
“I can’t think of anything. Do you have an idea?”
“I don’t. Aren’t you supposed to have several ideas on matters like this, considering the fact that you are a criminal?”
“Yo, we are criminals.”
“Are you crazy? What did you just call me?”
“I called you nothing, but the boss of a criminal Ultimately falls in the same category.”
“You must be nuts. I do not have time for your silly talks. I want you to come up with an idea on how to execute the plan.”
“I will think of something.”
“You had better be quick about it. I want your response before the end of today.”
“Yo! Copy that.”
“I have to go back to work, because unlike a criminal like you, some of us are working our ass pretty hard to pay your likes.”
“I know, right? Well, I have to go too, because some of us work so hard to perform evil tasks your likes can’t perform.”
“What the hell…” she was about to say when the line went off.
She stared at her phone in Surprise. The guts of him to talk back to her. Well, he was her stooge and still important to her.
She was tempted to go over to Shawn’s office but remember that in commemoration of his inauguration, he got a two day leave from work.
Sighing in frustration, she returned back to work.
SHAWN’S POV
It was evening and time to hang out with Bryan. He had already called his driver, Mark, because as a chairman, he was no longer expected to drive himself.
As much as he would have loved to, He knew certain positions come with certain expectations and affluence.
“I’m hanging out with Bryan,” He said simply to Tiffany as he got to the sitting room where she was watching a TV show.
“Okay. Bye and stay safe.”
He gave a simple nod and walked out. Mark was already waiting, he got into the car and they hit the road.
Soon, a message from Bryan came in.
“Change of plan. Let’s meet at the club.” The message read.
He sighed heavily. The club again? It was at the club He met Edna Garter, and after the experience with her, h
he had gotten wary of clubs.
Exhaling sharply in resignation, he turned to Mark and Instructed him to make a turn in the direction of the club.
They soon arrived, and He alighted. Bryan was already waiting for him at the entrance.
“And here comes the almighty Chairman, Shawn Gold. The youngest Chairman in the history of Vancouver. I’m proud of you, Man.” He said and engulfed him in a bear hug.
“It’s good to see you, Man. Is it just me, or do you always look better whenever you travel?” Shawn asked in a teasing tone.
“Maybe, you are right. C’mon, let’s head inside.” Bryan said and slapped his back playfully.
They walked into the club and took their seats at a hidden corner. Shawn had gotten more popular and he didn’t want his presence at the club to be noticed.
“I will go get us a drink. What would you like to have?” Bryan asked, straining his voice over the loud club music.
“Tequilla and some ice.”
“Copy that. Your order is coming right up.” Bryan said, making a dramatic gesture before walking away.
Shawn sighed and concentrated on his phone. The music in the club was too loud and he regretted not bringing his earpods with him.
“Here you go,” Bryan said and dropped their orders on the table. “Guess who I stumbled into?” He added as he took his seat.
“Who was it?” Shawn asked, looking up from his phone.
“Edna Garter.”
“Edna?”
“Yes. Surprisingly, she didn’t want to see you even when I told her you were here with me. Did you guys have a fall out?”
“None that I can remember of. It’s a good thing, anyway. She is too clingy.”
“I see. You don’t like them clingy?”
“I don’t.”
“Noted, chairman. So, how is your wife?”
“Tiffany?”
“Do you have another wife? It’s her of course.”
“She is well.”
“Just that. I’m assuming you still don’t have a stable relationship with her. Look here, Man. She is now your wife legally, and despite the circumstances that led to the union you need to make efforts to have a cordial relationship.”
“I don’t think that is necessary. We are cool with each other.”
“Cool? Are married couples supposed to be just cool with each other? Do you think of having babies someday?”
“Babies? With who?” Shawn asked in puzzlement.
“She of course. Your wife.”
“Umm…I’m getting really uncomfortable with the direction this conversation is taking. I think I need to dance” He got on his feet and pulled Bryan up. “Let’s dance.”
“Remember, men are not supposed to dance with their fellow men.” Bryn yelled over the loud music.
“Who cares?” Shawn yelled back.
If dancing with his fellow man would save him from the uncomfortable conversation about having babies with that brat, then he would gladly dance.
