Book:Blind Date With Mr Arrogant Published:2025-3-31

TIFFANY’S POV
Even though she was not happy with the fact that they had to leave, she tried to understand. A friend of his was in distress and needed his help.
She would call her friends too if she were to be in any trouble of any sort.
“Can I come with you?” She suddenly asked.
Shawn turned to her in surprise. “Come with me?” He asked, surprise evident in his tone.
“Yes. Who knows, I might be of help in my own way.” Tiffany replied.
“It’s okay then.” Shawn said, returning his eyes to the road.
After an hour’s drive, they arrived at Rachel’s house. Shawn parked the car across the street and they alighted and walked to the gate. Shawn pressed the bell beside the gate and it immediately recognized his fingerprint. A few minutes later, the gate was opened by the security man.
“Where is she?” Shawn asked the security.
“In her room, Sir.” He replied.
Shawn nodded and walked in with Tiffany and they both headed upstairs to Rachel’s room.
“Come in.” A raspy voice said, when Shawn knocked.
“Hey, Rachel.” Shawn said, rushing to her side.
RACHEL’S POV
Her mouth hung open in surprise as she stared at Tiffany who still stood at the door. Did he bring her here? To her house? To her bedroom?
Oh, Shawn. What have you done?
She quickly regained composure and put on a pained face. “It hurts so much, Shawn.” She said, ignoring Tiffany.
“Hi. I’m Tiffany, his fiance. I’m sorry you feel sick.” Tiffany said, walking towards them.
Yeah, I know you are his fiance. And you are the one who is sick, silly. Rachel wanted to say all of that, but smiled instead. “Thank you.” She said instead.
“Where are your medications?” Shawn asked.
“In the top drawer in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom,” Rachel replied.
“So, I heard you both were fighting. Have you reconciled now?” Rachel asked Tiffany as Shawn walked to get the Medications.
“He told you we were fighting?” Tiffany asked in surprise.
“Yes, he did. He tells me everything.” Rachel said, smiling smugly.
“Wow! I never knew he told you that.” Tiffany said, feeling bad already.
“There are a lot of things he tells me too. How he is tired of you and how you frolicking around with men.” Rachel added.
Tiffany’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at Rachel. “I’m sorry, I have to go. Tell him I am in the car waiting.” She replied and hurried downstairs.
Rachel smiled mischievously. “Shawny, have you seen the medications?” She said in a sultry tone.
“Seen them.” Shawn replied, walking out of the bathroom. He stopped, when he could not find Tiffany in the room.
“Where is she?” Shawn asked.
“Who?” Rachel asked, feigning ignorance.
“What do you mean by who? Tiffany of course ” Shawn Said.
“Oh, the kid? She said she would wait for you in the car. She said you were taking too much time and she wanted to go home.” Rachel lied.
“But we just got here.” Shawn said.
“Exactly my thoughts. Just leave her. She is just a spoiled brat.” Rachel said.
“Here is your medication and water. I guess you had something that triggered the ulcer. You never listen, Rachel.” Shawn scolded.
“Not my fault. There was no one to take me out for dinner so I had pepper snacks. It’s all I have in the house.” Rachel said, making puppy eyes.
“Cant you cook? You are a lady for christ sake.” Shawn said.
“I don’t like to cook.” She retorted.
“Then employ a maid.”
“I do not like strangers in my space.” She said.
“You Are unbelievable.” Shawn said.
“I know, right. I Missed you Shawn.” She whined and grabbed his hand.
“Quit fooling around and take your medication.” Shawn chided.
“Is it just my eyes or you look so handsome tonight?” Rachel asked, looking at him dreamily.
“Are you high on cheap drugs? Stop this if it is a joke.” Shawn scolded.
“Fine. I was just kidding.” Rachel said.
“Better and better not repeat itself. Can I use your restroom?” Shawn asked.
“Of course. Ummm…can you please help me with your phone?” Rachel asked, as he was about to go to the restroom.
“Here.” Shawn unlocked it and gave it to her.
As soon as he was out of sight, she scrolled through his Contact and searched for a number. She hurriedly sent a message and then deleted the message history.
“Are you done with the phone?” Shawn asked as he came back into the room.
“Oh yes, sure.” Rachel said, and handed the phone to him.
TIFFANY’S POV
She was angrily waiting in the car. The guts of him to talk about her to his friend. How dare he say she frolicked with men?
He was an arrogant man, and that will never change no matter how he pretended.
She was about to sigh for the umpteenth time, when her phone binged, indicating the arrival of a message. “Can you please come back upstairs? I need your help.” The message read and it was from Shawn.
She was reluctant at first but thought against it as she unlocked the car and headed back inside.
She climbed the stairs exhausted and angry at him. Not bothering to knock, she opened the door and was met with the sight of Rachel and Shawn kissing.
Her eyes widened in shock, and then disgust before anger. Giving them an angry stare she hurried downstairs.
SHAWN’S POV
He was confused, when Rachel suddenly bent his head and planted a kiss on his lips, even when he tried to wriggle free, she persisted.
They were still struggling when the door opened and Tiffany walked in. She gave them a mean look before hurrying out.
“What did you do that for?” He asked Rachel angrily.
“I have always wanted to taste your lips and I’m happy it tasted just like I expected it.” She said, smacking her lips.
“You are impossible. Don’t ever call me when you are dick because I won’t answer you.” He said and hurried out of the room.
TIFFANY’S POV
In the car, she wondered while she was angry at the sight she just witnessed.
They were not in love and it didn’t matter to her, whomever he wanted to make out with. But what is upsetting her, is why he had to send her a message to come upstairs and witness them making out.
He was a narcissist and he had no respect for anyone but himself.
A few minutes later, he joined her in the car. “Look, what you saw back there is not what it appears to be.” He began.
“Pardon? I saw nothing unless you are trying to force words out of my mouth.” Tiffany said, feigning ignorance.
“Can we act like adults?” Shawn said, turning to face her.
“The last time I checked, there is just one adult in this car. I’m still a highschool little girl, remember?” Tiffany said, sarcastically.
“Fine. I just want to apologize for what you saw. It was not my fault though.” Shawn said and started the car.
“Of course, you never err. You are perfect and impeccable. You don’t frolick around. I am the one who does the frolicking. Anyways, while you are frolicking around, be careful of my reputation. I too have a reputation to protect.” Tiffany said and threw her face out the window.
Shawn sighed and continued driving, and she was glad he did.
“You know, I’m wondering why you did not just kiss her and keep me out of it. Why did you send that text message?” Tiffany suddenly asked.
“What text message?” Shawn asked, confused.
“Seriously? You are going to deny that too?” Tiffany asked puzzled.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Shawn said.
“You know what, forget about it.” She said with a note of finality.
