RACHEL’S POV
“Are you sure?” She asked Max over the phone.
“Yes. He thinks the person sent a junior student to prank her about a teacher wanting to see her, and then the person sets banana peels in the hallway. According to him, if not for his timely intervention, she would have ended up with a sprained ankle and wrist.” Max explained.
“Is he stupid and dumb? Are we paying him to be goddam saviour or Superman? Why didn’t he allow her to sprain all of that?” Rachel bellowed.
“I asked him the same thing too.” Max said.
“Give him a strict warning. He is not employed to look after her or be her Messiah. I won’t tolerate such an act next time.” And with that, the phone went off.
Rachel began to Pace after dropping the call. Someone in the school wanted Tiffany hurt and she wanted to know who. Could be a teacher or student or even students. It gladdened her heart that someone else somewhere hated the person as she.
If They found out the identity of the person, it would serve as a catalyst to her plan. She would form a strong alliance with the person and in no time, Tiffany Dion would be out of her way of having Shawn Gold.
OSCAR’S POV
It was school over and he laid ambush on the junior student who happened to be his classmate too. ” I know what you did?” He said, suddenly appearing in front of her.
“Excuse me. Who are you?” The girl asked, confused.
“You went to call Tiffany out of her class so she could step on the banana peels in the hallway and then fall.” The girl stared at him, feigning confusion. “what are you saying?”
“You know what I’m saying. And I know you didn’t do it alone. I want to know your partner.” Oscar said.
“I’m sorry you got the wrong person.” The girl said, making to leave.
“Not so fast. If you don’t comply, I will reveal your identity to Tiffany. She has been looking for you since the incident. She wants to know why you pranked her.” Oscar threatened.
The girl’s eyes widened in shock and then fear. “You are kidding, right?” She asked.
“Try me.” He said, pretending to want to leave.
“Wait!” The girl called.
TIFFANY’S POV
“I’m as surprised as you guys. Today’s event was so strange. Why would she prank me?” Tiffany complained to her friends as they headed for the parking lot.
“Wait, Tiff. Something doesn’t add up. She came to call you and all of a sudden there were banana peels on the hallway floor, something that has never happened before. If there is anything Shine is known for, it’s their impeccable sense of neatness and orderliness.” Freya asked, Trying to fix the dots together.
“And you almost fell down if not for the intervention of that new junior student. And Mrs Blair said she never asked anyone to call you. Wait…are you guys seeing things from my perspective ?” Timothy said, suddenly stopping.
“It was bait to get Tiffany to the hallway, and get her to fall when she stepped on the banana peels!” Freya exclaimed
“Shit, Tiffany! It was done on purpose to hurt you. We have to find that girl.” Timothy said.
Tiffany’s eyes widened in shock as she stared from Timothy to Tiffany. “Someone wanted to hurt me?” She asked, alarmed.
“I’m afraid, yes. Now, what did you do to a junior student? Did you get in an altercation with any?” Timothy asked.
“None that I can remember of. I don’t even know this girl. I can’t even recollect her face if I see her again.” Tiffany said.
“Or, what if someone else sent her? Like, she is working with someone?” Frey suggested.
“That’s another point to consider.” Timothy said.
Tiffany was beginning to shiver with fear and apprehension. Who would want her hurt?
“Mary Guevara is a suspect to me.” Freya Said all of a sudden.
“Come on, Frey. It has not gotten to that point. She is just jealous and probably obsessed with Tiffany.” Timothy chided her.
“And so? What do jealous and obsessed people do? They hurt their target when they can’t get them or what they want. Haven’t I warned you not to call me Frey?” Freya asked, blowing hot.
“Hey, take a chill pill.” Timothy said.
“Seriously, guys? We were having a serious conversation and all of a sudden you started throwing tantrums?” Tiffany asked, upset.
“We are sorry, Tiff.” They both chorused.
“It’s fine. This whole thing feels like some bad dream.” Tiffany said, as she leaned on her car.
“Let’s talk more about this in our group chat. My driver is here.” Freya said.
“It’s fine. Let’s talk later.” Tiffany said, and they all shared a hug before Freya hurried off.
“Hey. Are you okay?” Timothy asked Freya as they were now alone.
“Honestly, I’m not.” Tiffany said.
“Do you care for a hug?” Timothy asked.
“Sure.” Tiffany said, and went into his arms.
TIMOTHY’S POV
How much he had craved this. Aside from the usual group hug they sharedHimself, Tiffany and Freya, he always looked forward to one with just Tiffany.
He gently wrapped his arms around her, and rested his head on her shoulder, taking in the mild fragrance of her strawberry body spray. He could feel the heat radiating from her body, and he didn’t wish to let go.
OSCAR’S POV
He stared at themTiffany and Timothy in amusement. One look at Timothy and he could tell the dude had a thing for Tiffany.
His facial expression as he closed his eyes and rested his head on her shoulder, was not that of a best friend but that of a lover.
The dude liked Tiffany and he had to find out if his assumption was right.
But then, he subtly took out his phone and took pictures of them in that position.
RACHEL’S POV
“He took the pictures?” she asked Max over the phone.
“Yes, he did. I told you the boy is smart.” Max said with pride in his tone.
“And who is the boy in the picture?” Rachel asked.
“Timothy McVeigh. Her best friend. But, Oscar thinks he has a crush on her although he has not proven it yet” Max explained.
“This is getting more interesting. I need him to find out if they have something going on. This hug of theirs is too passionate for them to be just best friends.”
“Exactly my thoughts.” Max concurred.
“I want more information. You and that boy should get me more information.” Rachel said.
“Noted. I have to run.” Max said, and the line went off.
TIFFANY’S POV
She was surprised at how Timothy hugged her. This was different from the hugs they have shared in the past.
He held her too passionately and made the hug linger longer than necessary. She had to break the hug as she was uncomfortable. “I have to go, Tim. Thank you for the hug.” She said, pulling away.
“Oh, I understand. We will chat later, then.” Timothy said.
“Yes, we will. Bye.” And she got into the car and drove away, With Timothy standing and waving her goodbye.
