Chapter 28

Book:Blind Date With Mr Arrogant Published:2025-3-31

“This is not your business, Timothy.” Mary retorted.
“It is not yours, either. Now run along with your minions.” Timothy ordered.
“Nice car, Tiffany. I bet Shawn got it for you, because your broke father can’t afford a car like that right now.” With that, Mary sashayed away.
“Thank you, Timo…” Tiffany made to say, but Timothy cut her short.”You have a lot to explain.”
“Timothy, wait up.” She made to run after him as he walked away, but thought against it. Students were still watching and she was late for class, so she turned in the direction of her class instead.
She got to class and sat down beside Freya. “Hey, Freya.”
Freya glanced at her before returning to the book she was reading.
“Look, I know you are angry at me but I can explain.” She tried to explain but a teacher entered the class.
“We will continue this conversation later. Can I borrow your blue ball pen?” She asked, trying to make Freya talk to her.
Freya brought out the pen from her backpack and gave it to her without uttering a word.
Way to go, Tiff.
After hours of sitting and learning, it was finally time for recess. “Let’s go to the cafeteria together, please.” she pleaded, grabbing Freya’s hand.
“Fine ” Freya replied and they both left for the cafeteria.
Timothy was already seated and waiting at their usual spot. They ordered their food and sat down to eat.
Midway into the food, Tiffany spoke up. “I know you guys are mad at me, and trust me, it is justified. I would feel the same way, if I were in your shoes.”
“I Had to do it to save my father’s company from going bankrupt. And Shawn, he wants to be chairman.”
“But you went through all of this alone without letting us know. We would have understood.” Freya said.
“I know, right. And I am sorry. Freya, Timothy, please forgive me.”
“You ignored our chats, messages and calls. Come on, Tiff.” Timothy said.
“I am so sorry.”
“It’s fine. I forgive you.” Freya said.
“Thank you. How about you, Tim?” Tiffany asked.
“I forgive you too.”
“Thank you, guys. It feels to have you both back.”
“Enough of this reconciliation party. Who owns that Ferrari you brought to school, Tiff?” Freya asked, bracing herself for the gist.
“It’s Shawn’s.”
“Shawn’s? Did he gift you the car?” Timothy asked.
“Look, guys. The thing is, I moved in with Shawn yesterday.”
“you what?” They screamed in unison, drawing other students’ attention.
“I had to do it. Our fathers think it’s the best thing to do since we are engaged and getting married soon.” Tiffany explained.
“Marriage? You are getting married to that guy?” Timothy asked.
“Of course, she is. What do you think the engagement was for? For fancy?” Freya teased.
“Did you sleep on the same bed?” Timothy asked, staring into Tiffany’s eyes.
“No, I didn’t. We don’t even share the same room.” Tiffany said.
“Why? Do you know how many ladies that would kill to be under the same room as Shawn Gold, not to talk of sleeping in the same room with him, on the same bed?” Freya asked.
“So, you are going to be playing wifely roles to him?” Timothy asked, absentmindedly stabbing his shrimp with a fork.
“I don’t know. Maybe. Are you okay, Timothy?” Tiffany asked, concerned.
“Yes, I am. Shouldn’t I be?” He asked, looking up at her.
“I never said so. Just that, you are acting weird.”
“Weird? You are the weird one here who moved in with a guy she is not married to.” Timothy retorted before he could stop himself.
“Timothy! That was harsh and rude.” Freya chided.
“I lost my appetite. I will catch up with you guys later.” He stood up and walked away.
“Is he okay?” Tiffany asked, as she made to go after him.
“Dont.” Freya said, grabbing her hand. “He will be fine.” She added
Soon, it was closing time and Tiffany and Freya headed for the parking lot. They waited for Timothy and he never showed up.
“Tiff, I would love to go now. I don’t know what is wrong with Tim, but I hope he gets better by tomorrow. Say hi to Shawn Gold. Freya said, and they both hugged before she left.
Tiffany stalled a bit to see if she could see Timothy but all to no avail. Tired, and frustrated, she got into the car and zoomed off.
She got home, parked the car in the garage and went inside. Shawn had shown her the code to the door, so she just had to input it and the door would open.
She slumped on the bed, exhausted and hungry. After resting for some time, she went into the bathroom to take a bath.
A few minutes later, she was done bathing and dressed in shorts and a polo. It was time to look for what to eat.
She went downstairs into the kitchen, opened the fridge and it only had fruits and some beverages. Then she opened the freezer and saw varieties of food stuff.
She finally settled on making grilled cheese sandwiches and fruit salad. She took out the yellow and white cheeses, thick sliced sandwich bread, butter, milk, fruits and other ingredients.
She whistled as she set to work, and while at it, a thought came to her mind.
“Why not take some to Shawn at work?” The voice asked.
Tiffany wanted to hush the voice but on a second thought, it’s something she can do. He might have a bad character, but at least he has a handsome face and he let her use his car today. That’s right! She would pay him back with lunch, that way, they would be even. He gave her his car, she gave him lunch. And at the same time, she would also be performing her fiance or wifetobe duties to him.
With that thought in mind, she hurried with the food preparation. A few minutes later, she was done and had the food packed in a lunch bag. On second thought, she decided to make him fruit juice too.
After everything was set and done, she hurried upstairs to change into something befitting. She wore a floral jumpsuit, strappy sandals, dabbed a little powder and applied lip gloss, one tilt at the mirror and she hurried downstairs, ready to leave.
She carried the lunch out into the car, after ensuring everywhere was locked and secured, she drove out headed for Shawn’s company. She hadn’t even had lunch herself. She would have hers when she got back.
After a few minutes’ drive, she got to the company and drove inside, parked at an empty spot and alighted.
She got to the reception and hurried to the counter. “Hi, good day. I’m here to see Mr. Shawn.” She said, giving her best smile.
“Do you have an appointment?” The receptionist asked.
“Not at all. Actually, I’m his fiance.”
The receptionist gasped, as she took a proper look at Tiffany. “You are the one. You are the one he proposed to.”
“Yes, I am. Can you tell me which floor his office is and what room?”
“Of course. Take the elevator to the second floor, the first door by your right. It has “CEO” engraved in gold lettering on the door.”
“Okay. Thank you.”
Tiffany got into the elevator, and pressed number 2 on the buttons and it immediately took her up. She got off and walked to the second door, and there it was. His office.
She gently knocked on the door.
“Who Is it?” His baritone voice asked.
“It’s Tiffany.”
After a few seconds of silence he muttered a low “Come in.”
She walked into the office nervous as ever.
“Good day. I brought you lunch.” She said, pushing out the bag for him to see.
He stared at her in surprise, and then his face went blank. Just as he was about to reply to her, the door quickly went open and Rachel rushed in, in haste.
“Oh! Did I interrupt something?” She asked, in a feigned surprised tone.
“No, you didn’t. There is nothing to interrupt.” Shawn replied.
“Oh, hi. I’m Rachel Sparks, Shawn’s best friend, childhood sweetheart and work partner. You are?” Rachel said, extending her hand for a handshake.
“I’m Tiffany Dion, Shawn’s Fiance.” Tiffany replied. She doesn’t know why, but she hated the ladies’ guts and aura.
“Shawny, It’s time for lunch. I booked a reservation for us at Urban’s delight.” Rachel said sweetly.
“Oh, you did? Let’s go then. You always know what I want.” Shawn said, getting up acting oblivious to Tiffany’s presence.
“Here, let me help you with your jacket.” Rachel said, as went over to help him wear his jacket.
Unable to bear the embarrassment, Tiffany rushed out with the lunch box, her mind beclouded with anger.
She had just got off the elevator, ready to storm out of the company when she heard someone hail her. “Hello, pretty lady.” A voice at her back said.
She turned back to see who it was, and she came face to face with a young man with dyed blonde hair with blue and pink highlights. She wanted to ignore and continue on her way but on a second thought, she decided to flirt back. If her calculation is right, Shawn would be down soon with that stupid work partner of his. And what better way to get back at him than to flirt with this young man.
“Oh, hi.” She replied, giving him a seductive smile.
“Im Jimin park. An intern in this company. I wanted to say that you are so beautiful.” He said, offering his hand for a handshake.
“Oh, really? Thank you. I’m Tiffany Dion, and you look handsome.” Tiffany said, flipping her hair in an alluring manner.
“Oh, shit!” Jimin said, suddenly tensed.
Tiffany looked back to see why he suddenly looked scared, and lo and behold, Shawn had just stepped out of the elevator with Rachel, and his eyes were fixed angrily on them!
