TIFFANY’S POV
She was lying on the bed lost in thought. Was she childish by leaving her food? No matter what, she shouldn’t have walked out on him, it will only worsen the impression he already had of her as a spoilt brat.
But wait, why was she even concerned? He can think whatever he wants to think of her. Truth is, she doesn’t care.
She was so bored in the room and wanted to chat with her friends but thought against it because she didn’t know what to say to them. She has been avoiding their chats and calls because she didn’t want to explain her engagement and moving in with Shawn.
She was still lost in thought when she heard a loud splash of water. She hurried to the window to see what was going on and her mouth went open in surprise as she saw Shawn swimming in a backstroke style.
Her eyes trailed to his bare chest as it settled on the thick mass of hairs that adorned it. The way it glistened as the sun shone on it was fascinating. She hated to admit it but Shawn Gold was a very handsome man.
Since she was bored, she decided to stay and watch him against her own will. She watched him move with so much athletic fluidity.
Never had she thought that Shawn Gold would be a fan of swimming. And she hated to admit that he was a better swimmer.
Just then, Shawn changed his position and ruffled his head with his hands. Tiffany could feel very breath hitching in her throat. What the hell? Did he have to do that? Because at that moment, he looked like some water DemiGod.
The way his silky hair went all smooth and glossy, his lips pink as ever, and the sun did justice to his look by casting a warm shadow over him.
This is wrong, Tiffany. You shouldn’t be looking at a man like that. A voice in her head said, and she wanted so badly to listen to the voice.
As she was at a loss to either leave the window or stay back and ogle at Shawn, he majestically stepped out of the pool.
Against her will, her eyes trailed to his wet swimsuit as it clung to his thighs like a second skin. His legs were firm, smooth and long with little Tufts of hair. Up her eyes went and finally settled on his groin region. The swimsuit made the shape and length of his manhood so visible.
Tiffany, what are you thinking about checking a man’s manhood out? She chided herself, yet her eyes were still glued to the spot.
Before she could process her thoughts, Shawn quickly looked up, and their eyes met.
SHAWN’S POV
After swimming for some time, He decided to get out and rest a bit.
His intention was to get out and sit under the sun for sometime before heading inside. But he didn’t know what came over him, he just looked up at Tiffany’s window involuntarily and was shocked to see her standing by the window and staring at him.
For a moment, he was dumbstruck as they both stared at each other in shock. And then realizing he was just in a wet swimsuit, he hurriedly grabbed the towel on the deck chair and tied it around his waist. When he looked up again, she was not at the window anymore.
TIFFANY’S POV
When he looked up, she was so shocked as they both stared at each other.
She was still staring when he hurriedly threw a towel around his waist, and she used it as the perfect opportunity to leave the window.
She slapped her head in embarrassment. She had the opportunity to leave before it was too late, but she stayed and kept watching him. Now, he would start seeing her as some perverted girl. Oh Tiffany, what have you done? She thought as she slumped on the bed.
How was she going to face him after what happened?
RACHEL’S POV
She sat on her bed, too tired to do anything. It was past noon, but she didn’t feel like getting out of bed.
Her bruised knuckles were hurting her, she was having a migraine and the worst of all, they were a huge wound in her heart. Shawn has broken her heart in a million pieces and she doesn’t know where to start from in picking those pieces and fixing them back in place.
Her phone suddenly rang on the bedside table bringing her out of her thoughts. She hissed and almost dropped the phone when she saw the caller ID, but thought against it.
“Good morning, Rachel.” Her friend, Shelley, greeted from the order end.
“Good morning. Why are you calling?” Rachel asked in a rude tone.
“Cant I call to check up on you, since you don’t call to check up on me?”
“Look, Shelley, tell me why you called.”
“Okay. I called to remind you of the money you promised me.” Shelley replied.
“You work, right?”
“Yes, I do. Rachel, please don’t start with your lectures.”
” You work, but you are always broke and begging me for money.”
“Here she goes again. You talk like you don’t know that they pay me peanuts in my jobs at the bar and cafe.” Shelley complained.
“Excuses. You are always full of excuses, Shelley. Anyways, send your details to me, I will ask my account manager to send you something.”
“You have my details, Rachel. And this What we you said three months ago when I begged you for money.”
“This conversation is over. I will send you something.” With that, Rachel ended the call.
Pauper! Always making excuses. She made her money because she did away with excuses. People just like to beg other than work hard and make money.
She hissed and got out of bed, she had to freshen up, eat, and treat her knuckles else they might get infected. And she also needed some aspirin for her migraine.
With those thoughts in mind, she went into her bathroom.
SHAWN’S POV
He got to his room and sat on the couch to reminisce on what had happened. Was she checking him out or what? Does she find him attractive?
No, he shouldn’t be thinking about it. For his sanity, he had to distance himself from that girl as much as he could.
His phone rang, and he jumped when he saw the caller ID. His mum.
