SHAWN’S POV
It’s Sunday, and he doesn’t know why he had this feeling of dread tugging at his chest. The whole idea of a Lady moving in with him felt strange and surreal.
The cleaning agency he employed their service was already done cleaning, and one of the ladies had helped set up the guest room in a Ladylike manner. He wanted everything to be perfect. Not like he wanted to impress the brat, but he was obliged to make sure she was comfortable in his house.
His phone rang, and he reluctantly picked it up when he saw his fathers ID.
“Have you gone to pick her? ” His voice sounded from the other end.”
” What’s with the rush, Dad? I’m trying to keep things in order before leaving.”
“Good. And I think you should go with a flower for her and a wine for her father.”
“Thank you, Dad. I have to go.” He hurriedly ended the call.
For real? A flower and a wine? How impossible can his father be?
Left with no option, he brought out his phone and googled the nearest flower shop around. He found one and placed an order for a red rose.
Then he went to his mini bar and got a 100yearold Merlot wine for Mr. Dion. The wine was a gift to him by his father when he won the award of the youngest entrepreneur in Vancouver.
One hour later, he was ready. Armed with a flower and a wine, he left to bring his high school fiance home.
TIFFANY’S POV
She stared at her parked bags and let out a sigh for the umpteenth time.
A knock sounded on her door. “Miss Dion, are you done?” James’ voice sounded from the door.
“Yes, I am. You can come in”
The door opened and James walked in.
“You can carry these two while I carry the other one.” Tiffany said, making to carry one of the bags.
“No, Miss. I will come back and get it.” James protested.
“I insist. Come on, let’s go.” Tiffany said, going out of the room.
They got downstairs and met Mr. Dion conversing with Shawn.
Tiffany stopped in her tracks as Shawn walked up to her and offered to help with the bag while offering her a rose flower.
Is this some joke? She thought to herself, as she blinked trying to make sure she was not hallucinating. As if reading her mind, Shawn leaned towards her and murmured, “Don’t feel too good. My Dad compelled me to get you this flower.”
She was shocked before she got a hold of herself and replied, “Yeah. As the daddy boy you are.” She left him standing in shock as she walked to her father.
“Hey, Dad.”
“Look at you, princess. You guys seem to be getting along now.” Mr Dion said, smiling broadly.
“Yes, we are. Aren’t we, Shawn?” She asked sweetly.
“Yes, we are.” He said, giving her an angry look.
“Thank you for the wine, Shawn. I will walk you both to your car.”
“That will be nice, Mr Dion.” Shawn carried the bags and they all headed out.
James helped put the bags in the car trunk. Tiffany walked to her father and gave him a hug. “I will miss you, Dad.”
“I will miss you too, Princess.” Mr Dion said, returning the hug.
“Can we go now?” Shawn asked, opening the car door.
“Yes, we can.” Tiffany said, and got into the car. She waved continuously until the car drove out of the compound.
As they drove out of the estate gate, another car followed them.
MAX’S POV
He dialed her number as he tailed their car. “Any news?” She asked.
“Yes. He went to pick her up at her house and they are driving to where I don’t know. I will let you know when I follow them to their destination.”
“Good. Don’t lose them.” And the line went off.
For the first time, Max believed the dude was up to something. The whole game was getting interesting and he couldn’t wait to see everything to end.
After following them for sometime, the car stopped in front of Shawn’s gate. Max could tell because he had followed Shawn home countless times in the past.
Wow! Seems like the dude is finally ready to have a taste of his girlfriend or would he say fiance because he already proposed to her.
The gate opened, and Shawn drove into the compound. Usually after confirming that Shawn had only brought his girlfriend home, Max was supposed to go back, but his interest was piqued to look inside the compound.
He alighted from his car, put on his sunshades and then walked towards the compound. Luckily, since it’s an estate, most of the compounds were low fenced, hence one could look inside.
Max stood by the fence, and watched Tiffany alight. Shawn went to the car trunk and opened it, Max mouth fell open when he saw Shawn bringing out bags from the car trunk.
Wait! Is the rich little fiance moving in with her rich fiance? He was at a loss of what to believe, until Shawn carried the bags and Tiffany helped with the rest and they both headed inside.
Now, this was getting more interesting than he thought. The dude wanted his fiance around hence he asked her to move in.
He whistled as he returned to the car. Now, this was some news to break to his employer.
“His girlfriend, no fiance, just moved in with him.” Max broke the news to her immediately she picked the call.
“What did you just say?” She asked.
“It happened that he went to pick her up at her home. I saw him take out her bags from the car trunk.” Max explained.
“This can’t be happening. He can’t do this to me.” She said, forgetting she was still on the line with him.
“I think they might be planning their wedding soon.”
“Shut the hell up, you piece of faecal waste! If you ever say anything like this to me again, then consider your broke ass fired.” She threatened before hanging up on him.
Max laughed out loud. She will definitely grow old and lonely with her bitchy attitude. His mission there was done, so he started the car and drove off.
