Chase’s POV
While I went to bed that night with a huge grin, I had no idea what awaited me the next day.
By morning I got a message from a messenger. It was from my uncle. The alpha at the Drix pack. He asked that I honor him with my presence that evening. It was the exact time I had fixed for the Picnic with Arya. While I stayed pondering on what next to do, there was a knock on my door. I gave permission and the door opened.
“Good morning your highness” I turned around to find Mika in my room.
“Ah Mika, glad to have you back” I smiled. Before she could reply me, there was a knock. Angus and dean and Hercules came in.
“I’m sure your highness, had the best of sleep” everyone except Mika burst into laughter. They knew of my plan to take Aryaand my son on a Picnic.
I smiled. “Rascals” they laughed. “Come on get out of here”
“What’s happening?” Mika asked
“come on” let’s go I’ll tell you later” Hercules smiled at her as they left my room

The day dragged on as I waited on what to do. Finally I came out with an idea. I was going to rush off to my uncle’s that morning. I would see for myself what they wanted and attend to it as quickly as possible. I picked up Dean and Hercules to go with me, while Angus would keep Arya busy. And so we got into the car for a faster ride.
“You are here early” I turned to find my uncle behind him in the sitting room.
“Hi uncle” I said as he bowed a little to him.
My uncle nodded as he walked towards me, acknowledging the greeting. “Are you busy?” his asked. It was the tip of my tongue to tell yes but I just couldn’t. I didn’t know why he called me over.
“Not at the moment” I replied as I raised an eyebrow. “Uncle is there any problem?”
“No it’s nothing son- he paused- walk with me… we have a lot to talk about” he said as he beckoned on me to follow him.
We walked towards the royal garden in silence. The quiet ambience was soul healing. I breathed in the air and sighed deeply. He glanced at My Uncle from the corner of his eyes. He noticed that his eyes were closed. He too was basking in this rare moment of peace and tranquility.
I stared longer at My Uncle; the man who always had my back. He was my real ride or die. I noticed the wrinkles around his eyes. It felt like he had aged more in just a short time. The planning of his son’s upcoming coronation must be taking a toll on him.
“Your Luna has been in town since the previous month,” he said opening his eyes.
“Yes, someone told me about that but Uncle I ….” I was interrupted.
“Son, I don’t want to hear such none sense from you again- My Uncle barked- tell me how you would make a good king and Alpha without a Luna!” My Uncle said. He had been trying to match make me with a friend’s daughter, since he thought the moon goddess didn’t give me a mate. Because of the Curse.
“Okay Uncle I have heard what you have to say” I said.
“It’s not okay just hearing. You should get close to your Luna”My Uncle said and slowly walked away.
I sat on a nearby bench. I was tired of fighting with my uncle. I never knew I would get a loner until I found out of Chamberlin. But when I was younger I had a Betrothed Luna. Before my parents died.

“Hi Chase hi guys” some girls winked at me and my friends as we made their way into the palace. It was getting darker and I was worried. I hoped Arya would forgive me.
Luckily for me, I saw my folks about to leave the palace.
“Aunt, Uncle what’s going on?” I asked, the moment I caught up to them. I had a look of worry on my face. I didn’t know they had planned but I knew it wasn’t going to be good.
“Hurry son. Go and get changed. It’s your mate checking ball” my aunt said as she smiled.
“Mate Checking?” The guys exclaimed. We exchanged a look. This wasn’t good,
“Come on Uncle! Aunt! You didn’t have to do this” I cried out. I just couldn’t tell I had a mate back at the pack. She just dint want to be my Luna.
“Chase! Stop your whining and go get changed” My unclethundered before leaving.
“Oh honey. We are doing all this for you. We have to find you mate, or else your position as alpha of the black moon pack would be taken” My aunt said as she stared into my angry eyes.
“Now boys, please make sure he is ready in five” she said as she kissed me on the cheek, before leaving.
I turned to my Hercules and Dean, “this is fucked up”
They agreed.” it’s already evening and Arya would probably be waiting for you” Dean said. “What do we do?”
“Wait why don’t you tell them you have a mate already?” Hercules asked.
Dean and I shot him a glare. Finally I spoke. “If they found out that Arya doesn’t want to be my Luna, they will force me to take just anyone” what my aunt doesn’t know is that, Arya had to love for the curse to be void. It has to be her. No matter what.
“Hey I have a plan” Hercules said.
