Eve.
As I walked towards the front roll, just close enough so every single person in the room could hear what I had to say.
“You’re just delusional, was it so hard to accept that he didn’t love you?”
“All those years that you’ve been friends, not once did he ever look at you and not once did he ever put a label on your relationship but you went ahead with your delusional mind to conclude that he would one day love you?”
“I can’t believe we’re all gathered in court to deal with someone who couldn’t keep her delusions in check.” I said and the crowd hummed in response.
“Shut up!”
“I can’t believe Jason really fell for your kind, you’re not even pretty.”
“After all, your kind is known for being thieves.” Alice said as a comeback but I wasn’t even affected instead I was disgusted.
“It was only a matter of time before you brought race into this conversation, you talk about being civilised? You talk about being black?” I scoffed.
“Please..”
“Instead of talking about my skin colour, maybe you should focus more on yourself.”
“Like your actual self because all I can see is a walking ad for plastic surgery.” I countered and the crowd roared in excitement.
“You look nothing like a real human being, just fucking look at you, you’re disgusting.”
“It’s no wonder you can breathe through that thing you call nose, your hairline looks like you just drew a line across and your hair needs some deep conditioning because it looks like someone’s ashy ass knees in winter.”
” I think split ends are currently your best friends.” I said.
This wasn’t just an exchange of words anymore. This was clearly a diss battle and I’m the winner.
Alice looked at me unsure of what to say. I bet she wasn’t expecting this.
All these while I’ve been keeping it calm, acting like a radical anarchist telling her about how women are supposed to stick together like some kind of feminism activist but now?
It’s showtime!
“Says who?” Alice managed to croak out.
“Says me!” I snapped.
I shot my head to the judge expecting him to say something like silence and stop disrupting the court but he seemed to be enjoying the show I was currently playing and instead he nodded his head like it was some kind of go ahead.
“Not to mention, your eyebrows are too thin, you old Sid looking bitch.” I said giving reference to Sid from the ice age. I bet he’s even cuter than Alice is right now.
She played right into my trap, all this was just a way for her to look miserable to the jury but did she know that it would backfire on her?
I bet she didn’t know.
“Ohh and let’s not forget, your boobs look very saggy even from where I’m standing so instead of getting implants, get a lift also because you don’t look as good as you think you do.”
“It’s a good thing we have stuff like side profiles because the front view is burning my retinas.” I said since from where I stood I wasn’t really looking at her face to face.
“Money really can’t help with a lot of things, but look at me, I’m pregnant but I look fabulous as fuck and not to mention, I look waaayyyy better than you do.”
“My skin is popping, my lips are full, my hair is beautiful, my nose works perfectly and looks great.”
“Not to mention, I’ve never gotten in trouble with anyone.” I said finally and she was already in tears.
“Next time when you want to racially profile someone, make sure you don’t look like spoiled milk.” I said finally before turning to leave but then I remembered that I still had a few words to drop so I turned back to face her.
“If you think for once that you can insult me while looking like you belong in the movie ‘Corpse bride’ then you have another thing coming.” I concluded before walking back to my seat.
I sat down on my chair and I watched Alice slump back to her chair in disgrace.
The crowd roared with applause and I smirked knowing that my rant had done that.
Thinly veiled insults were pathetic in my opinion.
I mean why bother starting what you can’t finish?
I mean she started it by insulting me and even directing it to my unborn child but you’ll never feel hurt by insults unless it’s directed to you, right?
Miss Alice, will be taken into custody where she would be charged for the murder of nineteen year old fudger, attempted murder and blackmail.”
“In the matter of the state versus Miss Alice, the case is closed.” The judge’s voice rang across the room and I felt utterly relieved.
“Good riddance to trash!”
“Ugh!, Baby, I’m so hungry, can we go and eat now?” I said to Jason who watched me with awe. I bet he was starstruck by his beautiful wife that just insulted a criminal and she isn’t even moved by it.
Well, it did take a lot of strength to… Roast?
I think that’s the best term for it.
We got up from where we sat after Alice was escorted out of the room in cuffs. I don’t think there was any need to ask Mark questions too after all he didn’t deny any allegations thrown his way. The only person trying to wiggle out of this was Alice and in the end, she couldn’t do that.
“That was epic!” I heard a reporter wheezing, trying to hold back his laughter as he glanced from me to his friend that he was talking.
I shrugged in response and soon Jason and I were out of the building and in the car going to the house.
Despite the fact that there were tons of reporters in the courthouse, there was another line of them waiting outside for Alice and also Jason and I so we had to take a short cut so we wouldn’t get questioned.
I wonder what they want to know again. I mean haven’t they had enough from the press conferences that Jason has been holding all these past months?
Even though most of those press conferences were more of an educational one for Jason’s Tech to grow, these reporters found a way to bring this issue into it.
Ugh! Those trashporters!
