AMELIA.
It’s finally the night of the party. Ava made sure that I wore something slutty. Cause according to her, you could only get slutty when going to parties. This part of Ava surprised me because you’d think she was a geek with her big glasses and how she usually dressed, but she was basically wearing nothing without her glasses right now, and she looked so good.
In fact, too good. I love the alter ego stuff she has going on, and I’m sure people will find it hard to recognise her tonight.
She wore this short gown that had a slit, and her whole cleavage was opened and pushed up. She had such a beautiful body, her hair splayed all over her shoulders, and her make-up was done perfectly.
She had a silver clutch to match with her silver heels.
I had a blue gown on; it was short as well but had no slit, and yes, my cleavage was also on display, and the body was well outlined in the dress; I could feel my body jiggling everywhere, and it made me a little bit uncomfortable, but I looked fire.
I was just a bit reluctant about everything because I had never indulged in stuff like this, and I wasn’t sure if my confidence level carried it. But I sure hope it did, because it won’t be funny if I fall when we get to the party.
“You look fire, Amelia,” Ava said; she hadn’t stopped complimenting me since we finished dressing up. We are still in the house, touching everything up.
“You do, too. I can’t get over this look; I mean, you always look nerdy with your glasses and shit.” I said, and she laughed.
“Yeah, it pays to have an alter ego. Sometimes, people don’t actually recognise me when I pull up like this. It’s like, ‘Girl, how do you go from this to that?'” she said in a baby voice, clicking her fingers together, and I laughed.
“That’s very true because if I wasn’t close to you the way I am, I might not recognise you,” I said.
“I love something like that. It keeps them guessing.” She said.
“Yeah, that’s true. I love it.” I told her.
“Well, you’re kind of the same, you know. Since people haven’t really seen you like this. I wish I were your friend when you were still plus-sized, girl. We will pull up to parties in short as fuck dresses, and we would look fire in them.” Ava said, and I shook my head.
“You this girl. You might change your heart if you had seen how I looked.”
“I did see your feature when Valerie showed it to me. If I were to be a designer personally, I think I’d design thick ladies, as in plus-sized women, because they are everything. If I had known you, no one would have been able to treat you like they did. Cause you would be slaying the whole thickness.” Ava told me, and it left me wondering.
Would that have happened if we knew each other? We can’t tell because I had a feeling that with the way things were with the witch, she wouldn’t hesitate to drag me back to the way I used to look.
So she might still be able to style me like she’s saying. That’s if she’s not disappointed in what I did and still wants to be my friend.
“Well, we can’t tell,” I told her, and she shrugged and finished applying the finishing touches to her lips.
“I didn’t know you were this extra,” I told her as she turned around in front of the mirror.
“Girl, if there’s something else after extra, then I’m that. I love being extra.” She said, and I nodded my head.
“I love that for you, girl,” I said, and she finally turned to me.
“Okay, so how do I look?” She asked me.
“Girl, like I said and have been saying, you look bomb. And every guy will basically be open-mouthed when they see you in this banging dress.” I told her, and she rolled her eyes.
“Please, it feels like you’re patronising me now.” She said with a shy smile.
“Come on, you can’t be shy now. And I’m not kidding. You look hot, my love.” I said.
“Thank you, and so do you.” She said and grabbed my hands.
“Come on, let’s get this party rolling.” She said, swung her arms in the air, and pulled me towards the entrance of her house.
“Let’s hope I don’t regret this,” I muttered.
“Regret this? When I’m here? Come on, I can’t wait to see Dylan’s reaction when he sees you in that banging dress; maybe he won’t be able to take his hands off you for the rest of the party, you know.” Ava said as we entered her car.
Ava was well-to-do, her parents were also affluent, and she had her car.
“I’m not expecting any reaction from him, though,” I said, my heart skipping a beat as I said it.
“I’m sure you don’t believe that lie yourself. Come on, you like this guy; don’t let anything stop you from actually enjoying it.” She told me as she started the car.
I smiled; if only she knew that there were a whole lot of things stopping me. The fact that I could hurt Dylan alone made me think it would be best to keep our distance. Maybe she would back off if the witch saw that we weren’t exactly the way we used to be. But according to what she said, it was because she liked how he looked, so she wanted him.
Not because we were close or anything. There is more reason for me not to leave Dylan’s side. I knew I had no chance against her, but it’d make me feel better if I was close to him.
I cleared my head of all negative thoughts as I looked ahead. Rihanna’s Diamond blared through the speakers, and Ava and I sang along as we drove through the windy atmosphere.
