It felt like her finger was broken, or perhaps it was the sound of her heart shattering.
Holly’s eyes dimmed. “You treat her so well, but she doesn’t know. Only I know. The one who truly loves you is only me.”
She was obsessed to some extent.
“Actually, that first moment we met in Jaquan’s office wasn’t the first time I saw you. It should be three years ago.”
At that time, Jaquan decided to mentor her and specifically drove her out to meet Nelson.
He was hosting an economic summit then. The young man, though indifferent, exuded confidence and brilliance, possessing the qualities any woman could fall in love with.
Holly sat in a corner, watching him host the entire summit. She couldn’t understand the professional terms, but she felt that such a good man would be hers one day.
She was the last to leave after the event. Nelson seemed to be waiting for someone and left late as well. They almost brushed past each other.
Holly still remembered the moment her heart raced.
Jaquan promised her that she would be Nelson’s wife sooner or later. But before she could learn all it took to become Nelson’s wife, she found out that Nelson had secretly married an ordinary woman.
What hurt more was that Jaquan wanted her to imitate and even replace that woman!
So Holly had no choice but to undergo plastic surgery to change her appearance and approach him under a false identity. She fought hard to be what she is now, but everything was over…
She had spent so much time finally standing by his side, but the lies were exposed, and everything turned into a bubble!
Holly was unwilling to accept it. She looked tearfully at the noble man who lost control because of Callie-
“Nelson, I faked many things, but my feelings for you are absolutely genuine, more genuine than Callie’s!”
Her tears fell onto the transparent floor tiles, which she had chosen for their wedding.
She had even naively thought that after getting married, she could escape Jaquan’s control and prioritize Nelson’s interests.
Nelson showed no reaction. He lifted his leg and walked away without looking back at her.
“Why! Is it because I’m not the daughter of the Ellison family? Why do you treat me like this!”
Behind him came Holly’s completely broken and hysterical voice.
Nelson ignored it all. Kieran hurriedly caught up. “The nanny sent a message. Miss Marsh has been found at the abandoned factory on the back hill, along with Ahmad!”
“Keep an eye on Holly. Don’t let her escape!”
Anthony agreed but hesitated, unsure whether to report further. “The Oconnor Group…”
“Prepare the car!” Nelson interrupted him.
Anthony understood and wisely said no more.
Meanwhile, Jamir had already driven to the Ellison family estate.
Due to the wedding, security was lax. He barged straight in, and the attendants couldn’t stop him. “Sir, you can’t go in!”
“I’m looking for someone!”
“You can’t go in no matter who you’re looking for!”
Jamir guessed that Callie was inside but didn’t know her exact location. To buy time, he forced his way in.
The attendants tried to stop him, but Jamir said directly, “Mr. Ellison is in trouble. I’m here to save him. If you stop me and put him in danger, will you take responsibility?”
This statement stunned the attendants because they knew Ahmad had indeed gone missing today and couldn’t be found anywhere on the estate!
“You…”
Jamir strode in boldly. At that moment, Secretary Yusuf called and reported directly, “The drone detected someone at the back hill!”
