Chapter 998: Callie is Maevelyn

“I haven’t been doing well. People are selfish. You disguised yourself for your future, and I had to betray you to get what I wanted.”
Karlee spoke with a harsh reality in her eyes, devoid of any past innocence and passion. The person in front of her was merely a tool to be used to solve her basic needs.
People grow up and change.
Charlotte reached out, trying to scratch her face. “How dare you!”
Karlee took a step back and picked up the microphone that had fallen to the ground. She had traveled tirelessly, facing even death threats, just to say this-
“I am Karlee, once Holly’s best friend. I can prove she has been an orphan since childhood and verify the authenticity of those documents because I experienced it all with her!”
Her words were powerful. The audience, having seen many shocking revelations today, was momentarily stunned. They could only think that the possibility of Holly being a fraud was growing stronger.
It was hard to imagine that the entire Ellison family had been deceived by her.
Sienna felt dizzy and uncontrollably trembled. She watched as the girl’s true identity was revealed, and with it, the Ellison family’s reputation crumbled. She had sensed this but wasn’t mentally prepared.
She swayed, about to fall, when a large hand steadied her. Sienna turned in surprise to see Nelson’s face.
His eyes showed a mix of indifference and calmness. Sienna understood immediately. “When did you find out?”
Even now, Nelson maintained his manners towards his elders, nodding respectfully. “A few hours ago, earlier than you but still too late. Perhaps I should have guessed two years ago.”
He should have guessed it the first time he saw Callie.
Holly looked around the room in disarray, feeling the pain of being abandoned. She clenched her fingers so tightly they bled, desperately thinking of a way to argue.
“Are you still going to mention DNA?” Another female voice came from the audience. Bridger, who had been drinking and watching the commotion, immediately looked over.
It was Mollie, holding a document as she gracefully stepped forward.
“Holly, I didn’t plan to come today, but just in case, I did. The information I have can expose your lies!”
Mollie pulled out the document but didn’t show it immediately. Instead, she placed it in front of Holly. “Do you see this? Your DNA test.”
Holly’s eyes widened.
“Take a look at this one too. This was the test that allowed you to impersonate Maevelyn. It should look familiar.”
It was Callie and Sienna’s parentage test, showing a 99. 9999999% match.
Holly tried to snatch it away, but Mollie easily dodged. She walked over to Joaquin. “When this test was done, Callie burned one copy. She didn’t know I had another one, just in case.”
Holly looked at her back in despair.
Mollie displayed the test results for everyone to see. They all saw Callie’s name on the 99% match.
Sienna gripped Nelson’s hand tightly upon seeing the result on the screen, feeling as if her heart was being gnawed by ants, causing unbearable pain.
“It really is her…”
She didn’t notice Nelson’s bloodshot eyes and his struggle to maintain composure.
