Do I Have Grandkids

Derrick crouched down patiently and knelt on one knee and asked gently, “You sure of what you’re saying? What did you see?”
“I saw nothing. Nonetheless, even the stupidest person can deduce with one hundred percent accuracy how she was killed… only a grandwar master is capable of that.” The little boy responded confidently.
“She was murdered!” He added, shocking Derrick the more.
“Murdered???” Derrick inquired,
“Yes, this is clearly a murder case and without any autopsy one could tell she was strangled to death and from the marks and posture of her acutely bent arm, it’s clear and a confirmations she struggled before she died!” Another adorable little boy, happened to be John’s brother spoke as he walked into view. He was wearing same handless military camouflage as his big brother, complimenting it, was a combat nicker and military handkerchief tied around his head.
Officers around were quick to point out the kids resemblance and evidently, they were twins but what the fuck do they know about sensitive cases like this? They’re barely 5-6 of age and they’re interfering in adults issue?
Derrick was astounded by the boys courage and sharp tongue,
These kids are amusing and appear to be precocious!
“Hi, Sir! I’m James. James -” James realized he didn’t know his actual surname so he paused, “And this is my senior brother, John. Nice to meet you sir!”James added Introducing himself as he walked forward and extended his hands for a handshake like a matured man.
Derrick was utterly disported by the boys quick deduction.
“Can you prove it? Because I’m not sure a grandwar master can do this!” Derrick stated blatantly.
“Yea sure!” John responded and walked closer to the corpse. He then removed the white cloth used to cover her and pointed at her vital pints…
“You see this spot blood was drained from?” He started, everyone’s gaze, Including the military officers standing around them directed their gaze to the spot he was pointing at,
” A supersonics iron grip caused it and as we all know, only grandwar masters are bestowed with that fighting skill -” John cleared his throat as he continued.
Meantime, the military TV station were already broadcasting the boys cracking the code on live and it has already started making headlines as many started asking questions,
“How come the boys look like the five star general? How can kids crack a murder case?” Many questions alike poured in like a flood flooding riverine areas.
Derricks mother, Mrs Charity in the mountain top was seated watching the TV as well, her eyes got completely glued to the young brothers cracking the murder case. She stared unblinkingly at them on the TV in extreme shock and surprise mixed together.
Was she dreaming? The kid brothers look just like Derrick when he was a kid and if one didn’t know, one would mistake Derrick to be their father.
Mrs Charity had to pause the TV and zoom the pictures. She glued to her son’s face and then contrasted his face to the two little boys and she was shocked to find out that the resemblance couldn’t have just been a coincidence.
“My son has kids already? And he didn’t tell me? No, that can’t be true. He can’t keep such secret away from me. But how come????”
Close-by was the Otumba’s family album placed on a shelf. Charity extended her hands and grabbed it. She opened it and inside was a picture of Derrick when he was 5-7 years old.
She looked at the pictures for a few seconds and turned to the TV and met same boy on the photo on the TV, but they were two boys .
This was too real to be true for her.
“Are those Master Derrick’s children?” A maid who was bringing coffee out for Charity was shocked that she stopped by her footsteps and asked unbelievably,
Her question only raised Charity’s suspicion.
“The kids are spitting image of Derrick! I can’t allow them follow the military line of our family. I need to break it!” Charity declared.
Meantime, Diana walked over to her childrens bedroom and she could only find Chioma sleeping inside. Clearly, the two boys were out. Diana got panicked at first hoping the kids don’t land her in trouble. Even after the warning she gave them not to leave the villa without her permission, they still left at this time of the day. It was Dark already.
She searched every corner of the house but couldn’t find them, panicked that something probably have happened to them, she quickly darted out of the villa. Few kilometers ahead, Diana could see some people, supposedly officers that were gathered at the central field.
Besides, it was Dawn now and the lights from solar lamps and electricity bulbs illuminated everywhere.
Chioma on the other hand had woken up for some unexplainable reasons and now, she was coming downstairs after not finding his big brothers around.
As she climbed down the stairs trying to shrug her sleepiness off, a lady staggered into the villa and it cut through her daze.
“Anamika. The five star generals finance'” Chioma recognized her.
However, Chioma and her siblings were yet to find out the grudge subsisting between this lady, her mum and their mother. Their first encounter explained it all.
Could they be the mother-in-law and sister-in-law that hurt her?? Definitely not, if only mum had written down their names.
The lady staggering towards her was groaning and smelling of alcohol, although her perfume wafted the air, the alcohol smell was still prominent as she walked passed Chioma, not knowing someone was even there.
Definitely drunk from the way she was walking. She had angrily drown a bottle of alcohol that contains fifty percent vodka when her plan failed.
As a relentless person, she left the hotel the moment Derrick left, all in the bid to continue what she already started, this time at his villa.
The moment she walked passed, a box fell from her handbag and was right in front of Chioma. It was ancient and looked special. Not the regular kind of box that housed jewels, it appeared to be very important as Chioma bent down to pick it,
“I must make him sign it by crook!” The lady vented in the midst of her misery. Chioma turned to her, strangely something was odd.
Chioma heaved a long sigh after she returned her gaze. She looked at the box in her hands and didn’t have any idea what it was, however, instead of returning it to Anamika who had staggered upstair, she decided to keep it and give it to her brothers first, “Maybe they know what it’s! Besides, this woman is fishy!” She said in her thoughts as she observed the box.
