I could hurt you.

Elena’s POV.
I stood frozen on the spot, my head totally blank and confused on the next step to take.
Almost immediately, the door creaked open and he walked in, facing us both.
“Hey, are you okay?” His concerned gaze lingered on me.
I swiftly turned around and a huge relief washed through me as my gaze landed on an empty space beside me. Darius was no longer there.
I was glad he was smart enough to make that split-second decision. The entire pack would have been lit on fire if the two Alphas had confronted each other.
“Yeah… Uhm… I was just taking a last glance before I leave,” I stuttered, hoping he doesn’t catch a whiff of the fright laced in my voice.
“It’s okay,” he muttered leaning closer and pulled me into his arms. “I know how hard it is to move from a place you’ve lived all your life, but I promise you Elena, you’ll not lack anything, you are totally going to love it there, trust me,” he whispered.
I winced, hoping fervently that Darius doesn’t hear all of that from where he was hiding.
Suddenly, I felt Killian’s grip on me loosen, his nose scrunched up as if trying to get a whiff of something. “Elena, we are not alone here, I can feel a presence.”
Oh no!
“Oh… Uhm… It’s probably the stress from everything going on lately around the pack, have you taken time to get a good rest?” I tried to change the topic but Killian seemed unmoved.
“I know what I feel Elena, this has nothing to do with stress,” he insisted.
Oh, gracious goodness! Darius must have reacted from his hiding place causing Killian to catch his scent.
“I can’t feel anything, I’ve been here since right? Trust me,” I flashed him a charming smile.
He still looked unfazed, and I needed to do something fast or he’d turn the house upside down until he gets his hands on Darius, I couldn’t let that happen.
I bit my lips seductively and inched closer to him, leaning over his ears. “I can’t wait to be alone with you at the Palace,” I nibbled gently on his earlobe as I spoke.
I could feel him getting stiff under my touch, his body tensed.
“We better get going immediately then,” he blurted.
I tried so hard to hold in my laughter, I couldn’t believe how vulnerable he was to my touch.
He grabbed my hand firmly and led us out of the house.
*
“What is this worthless woman doing here?” Aria flared up immediately we walked into the house.
“And what is that supposed to mean?” Killian fired back at her, his hand clutching onto mine firmly.
“Is she really moving in here? Why would you allow that?” She snapped.
“I want her to be here, and you don’t have a say on that, now I do not want to hear any more word on this,”
Almost immediately, Luna Drusilla approached us and Aria fled to meet her.
“Thank goodness you are here mom, look who Killian brought to live with us, you can’t let that happen,” she rattled.
Luna Drusilla sighed heavily, her gaze shifting from each of us to the other. “Relax Aria, it’s not a big deal, Killian has the power to bring anyone into the palace, he is the Alpha, and also, Elena is harmless,” she smiled at me as she uttered the last sentence.
“Thanks, Mom,” Killian flashed her a warm smile, then turned towards me. “C’mon, let me show you to your room,” he tugged at me, leading us through the passageway while Aria fumed in anger.
“And we are here,” he announced stopping in front of the room right after his.
I chuckled and turned to face him with a knowing look. “Killian, why am I moving into the room beside yours?”
“Well, I don’t want you to be far away from me anymore,” he shrugged. “Honestly, it’s taking a great level of resistance to let you stay in a separate room, if it was to be my way, then you’d be moving into my room right away.”
I bursted into laughter as he groaned frustratedly.
“Alright, I’m gonna let you settle in fine, and I’ll be back.” He leaned in to place a quick peck on my forehead before turning around and walked away.
My gaze trailed behind him until his figure totally disappeared within the reach of my eyes. I couldn’t help but ogle at the man whom I was sent to kill, but here I am, falling repeatedly in love with him.
Exhaling a deep breath, I pushed the door open and walked in. A light gasp escaped my mouth as I beheld the beautiful setting of the room, the big bed was neatly laid with an expensive looking duvet, and the wardrobe filled with colorful dresses, everything was so eye catching.
Has he prepared for this before now? For a moment, I felt like a fairy princess.
The blissful moment was interrupted by the sound of the door creaking open with a loud bang. I quickly turned around only to meet the blaring gaze of Aria.
“Ever heard of knocking, woman?” I snapped.
She ignored me, stepping fully into the room, and looked around with a mocking smirk on her face. “Of course, he will decorate your room like a little princess,” she gritted.
“Well, would you blame him though? He wants the best for me,” I chuckled.
I watched as she clenched her palm into a fist, her eyes blaring in fury. “It’s a shame that Killian can’t see through your charade, but I can, Elena, you are not who you are posing to be,”
“And what do you even mean by that?” I raised my brows at her.
“You are not back for good it is pretty obvious, and since everyone is blind to see that, I will personally dig out your deepest secret and spread it out in the open for everyone to finally see you for who you are,” she ranted.
I chuckled and took a step closer to her with a warm smile on my face. “Darling, Killian is in love with me, he would do anything I ask of him,” I began, making sure my gaze held hers.
“I can convince him to cast you away from the palace, and even from the pack if I want, aside that, I could really hurt you in so many ways using him as a weapon, you wouldn’t want that, would you?” I smirked, watching the look of fear beginning to creep up on her face.”
“To avoid that, I’d suggest you look away completely from me and don’t attempt anything funny, because I promise you, it will turn around on you,”
Slowly, I leaned over her ears. “Now leave my room quietly, and next time, make use of your head and knock properly.”
