I want to claim you again.

Elena’s POV.
I cursed under my breath as the knock on the door intensified.
“Who could that be?” Killian mumbled dropping the glass back to the table and headed towards the door.
“That was close,” I exhaled a deep breath and trailed behind him toward the door. Whoever was at the door seemed really furious.
“Is it true?” I suddenly heard a strikingly familiar voice roar angrily. I hastened my steps towards the door to see who the voice belonged to, only to come face to face with my most dreaded enemy. Aria. The one who bore the highest witness against me.
I stood rooted in my track as my gaze lingered on her, she was still as pretty as I knew her, though a lot more mature now.
She was quiet for a while as if trying to digest what she just walked into.
“Oh, so it’s really true? You are back to the pack, I thought you were dead?” She flared up, throwing series of questions at me.
I stared blankly at her as she raved in anger, wondering why she seemed so pissed off, I haven’t stepped on her yet.
“Aria, what are you doing here?” Killian snapped at her.
“How could you even ask me that? I thought people were blabbing when they said they saw you come in here with her, I can’t believe it’s actually true,” she yelled.
“And why do you have a problem with that?” I chirped in.
“I have a problem with you coming from nowhere to sneak around with my husband!”
I froze instantly as her words hit me hard across the ear.
Did she just call Killian her husband?
“Aria, you have to leave immediately,” Killian roared.
“Hold on, what did you just say?” I was finding it difficult to digest why she was calling Killian her husband.
“You heard me right, Killian and I are married, and we have a child, now you can crawl back to whatever hole you crawled out from!” She spat.
I turned to face Killian. “You have a child with her?”
“Yes, it’s a long story,” he replied, then turned towards her. “We are not yet married Aria, we are only beginning the process.”
“Stop saying that Killian, almost all the rites have been performed,” she snapped back at him.
“You know the reason for the marriage, and now that Elena is here, we will have to reconsider that,” he spat.
Aria suddenly went silent as he said that and I chuckled inwardly.
I couldn’t believe she moved herself to him after bearing false witness against me that led to my banishment.
I wondered why Killian wanted to reconsider their marriage because of me, if only he knew my mission here had nothing to do with matters of the heart or emotions.
But then, why do I feel a pang of jealousy finding out that Aria has a child with Killian? I shouldn’t be, right? why do I feel this way then?
“You have to leave immediately Aria,” Killian tried to grab her hand but she quickly struggled away. “Why do you want me to leave huh? You want to continue whatever you were doing with her don’t you?” She screamed advancing fully into the room.
She let out a dry chuckle as her gaze landed on the wine glasses on the table. “Oh wow, I see why you want me to leave.” She turned the table over and the contents on it crashed to the floor.
“Fuck! No!” I almost screamed out but I quickly held it in before I bursted myself.
“Now, that’s enough,” Killian growled, anger now visible in his eyes.
“Let me go!” She continued screaming as he dragged her out of the house.
That was an unexpected turn of events, if only Aria didn’t barge in on us. My mission here would have been long accomplished.
I cursed angrily as I cleared the mess on the floor. Why did she have to come at that moment?
It broke my heart seeing how eagerly I looked forward to Killian’s death, I shouldn’t be in a position like this, but then again, my kids were involved. If I don’t get the job done then I would never set my eyes on my kids again. There was no way I would trade them for him.
I plopped down to the dusty old couch, of course, I needed to clean the entire house since I would be staying for a short while until my mission was over, but right now, there was a lot to digest and it weighed me down heavily.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
Killian was obviously back. But luckily for him, this time he’s safe since my initial plan has been shattered.
“You know, you really don’t have to be here, I don’t want unnecessary drama with Aria.” I breathed out as I opened the door to his face.
“Elena, you can’t believe what she said, we are not married yet.”
“There’s absolutely no need for the explanation Killian,” I cut him off immediately.
“I want to, listen, I was only going to get married to her because of our child, I have absolutely no likeness for her.”
“Why are you telling me this?” I raised my brows at him.
“Because you are here now Elena, I’ve waited each day for the past years, hoping that you’d return to me, now that you are, I don’t need to get married to her anymore.” I could feel the emotions in his voice as he spoke.
“You hoped that I’d return?” I chuckled dryly. “Killian you rejected our mate bond and banished me in a heartbeat,” my emotions were beginning to set in as well.
I felt my heartbeat increase rapidly as he stepped closer toward me. “Elena,” his voice came out hoarsely, sending cold shivers to my body.
“That was a mistake I have never stopped regretting since it happened, I’m deeply sorry. Please forgive me.”
I stared at him expressionless, my heart thumping hard against my chest.
“It’s no use anymore, our mate bond is broken and you now have a wife.” I stepped away from him but he took a step forward again, closing the space between us.
“I want to claim you again.”
