It’s been few weeks since I lost Elena.
I haven’t stopped grieving even for second.
Every move I made had her thoughts rushing into my head, I had no control over it anymore.
I’ve decided to live everyday as it comes, life doesn’t really mean much to me anymore.
“Killian, I can’t remember the last time you had breakfast with me?” I heard my mom’s voice as she poked her head through my room door.
“Mom, please,” I mumbled turning away from her and turned toward the wall.
I didn’t hear her say another word, I concluded she has left already, only to feel a weight on my bed seconds later, I felt her lean closer and wrapped her arms around me.
I melted to her touch, heaving out a deep sigh.
“I miss her so much,” I mumbled trying so hard to hold back my tears.
“I know, I really do, I saw how happy she made you,” she whispered.
“It will be alright son,” she stroked my back gently.
We stayed that way for several minutes, I totally enjoyed the warmth her arms brought to my cold world.
“You know what? Let’s go have breakfast,” I suddenly blurted, sitting up on the bed.
“Yeah? You will have breakfast with me?” She grinned.
“Yes mom, I’m hungry,” I stood up and headed out. I could hear her squeal happily running after me.
“The table is set already, have a go at it,” she drew out a seat for me.
“Oh goodness, Mom,” I groaned, feeling bashful with her overly sweet gesture.
“What? I’m happy you are happy with me, it’s been like forever,” she cooed, going ahead to dish my food out.
“Thanks,” I mumbled. I scooped a spoonful and raised it to my mouth, I suddenly halted halfway, hearing loud noises approaching the dining.
I quickly dropped it and rose to feet.
“What could be going on?” My mom arched her brows.
“I have to find out,” I stood up and followed the noise.
I stopped dead on my track as I sighted Aria struggling with the guards. She seemed determined to get past them.
I had instructed them never to let her into the house.
“What’s going on?” They halted all actions as my voice sounded through the house.
“Alpha, she is insisting on seeing you,” one of the guards replied.
“Killian, I have to talk to you about something, it’s crucial,” she yelled.
“Aria, haven’t I sounded a rigid warning against coming to my house?”
“Killian, you have to listen to me, I need to talk to you.” She tried to struggle out of their grip but they held her in place.
“What’s going on?” Mom inquired stepping into the scene, I could tell from the look on her face that she was confused. She always knew Aria and I were close friends. I thought we were too until she overstepped.
“Luna Drusilla, it’s an important message we have to talk,” she yelled.
“I have no interest in whatever you have to say,” I snapped turning to the guards. “Take her away.”
I turned around and started heading out.
“I’m pregnant!”
I suddenly halted on the spot as her next words hit me hard.
“What?”
Slowly, I turned back around to face her, the anger in my eyes now replaced with confusion and sadness.
The guards had freed her now, confusion visible in their faces.
“What did you just say?”
“I’m pregnant for you, Killian, we are having a child,” this time she had a satisfied smile on her face as she spoke.
“Okay, can someone explain to me what’s going on?” My mom blurted, staring from Aria to me.
In a swift move, I rushed at her, pinning her hard against the wall, my hand gripping her neck tight.
“Hey.. Killian, what are you doing? Let her go,” my mom screamed, trying to untangle my hand from her neck.
“I warned you against messing with me, didn’t I? You just do not listen, I should really kill you,” I growled tightening my hand round her.
Surprisingly, despite the pain from my tight grip, the corner of her lips tilted up in a sly smirk. “You can go ahead and kill me, but you will be killing your child as well, our child.”
I could feel myself getting weak, my grip on her loosening slightly. “Why? Why did you let this happen?”
My grip on her completely loosened, and I staggered backward, my legs seemed to be too light to carry me.
“I know nothing about your pregnancy,” I growled turning against them and headed towards my room. I suddenly halted halfway and turned back to her. “Get rid of that child you’re carrying, it’s not mine.”
I heard a loud gasp erupt my mom’s mouth.
“You,” I turned to face the guards. “Take her out, and do not let anyone into my room for the rest of the day, whoever it is, anyone who defiles my order will not be spared,” With that, I stormed off.
**
I laid weakly on my bed gazing from each furniture to the other in a bid to shut my head out from thinking about the horrible situation that I was in. Just a single night of mistake was about to ruin my life.
Shortly, I heard footsteps approach me on the bed and I groaned in anger.
“You defile my order?”
“It’s your mother,” she breathed out.
“You are not an exception, mother.”
“Killian I have to talk to you.”
“If it is contrary to my decision about Aria, then I’m not having it,” I growled.
She heaved out a deep sigh, leaning closer and sat beside me on the bed.
“You should be happy about this, you are about to become a father, and me, a grandmother, it’s a great news,” she rambled.
“Mom, you don’t want to piss me off, do you?”
“Well, explain to me why you are pissed at such good news?” She nagged.
“There’s no explanation needed mother, I do not want to have anything to do with that child or the mother,”
“Why then did you have an intimacy that would produce a child if you know you don’t want this?”
“It was a terrible mistake, one that I do not want to be reminded of, and here she is with a lifetime reminder,” I hissed.
“Well, the deed is already done, you have to own up for it, I mean it’s your blood, you can’t turn your back on them,”
“You are stuck with her son, she’s pregnant for you, you have ruined her chances of finding a mate as no man will mate with her in her condition, you have to take full responsibility of the damage Killian, you’ll marry her.”
