ANASTASIA
“Where’s the Van?” I groaned, moving from one vehicle to the other, looking for Diego.
When I got close to any of the van, I’d hide myself from the guards moving about, hoping not to get caught by anyone of them.
The last thing I want is to be seen by Woods or any of these wolves. If that old man gets a hold of me, then that’s it for my Alpha Lord.
Woods will use me to against Diego.
“Oh Goddess, Where’s the van?” I trembled while hiding by the side of a van, looking at the other vans arranged along with cars and trucks.
But none of them had the X mark on their… “There!” I almost shrieked out loudly but held my voice back!
I finally found the van! But it’s located right at the center, parked behind a black car. Still, it’s far from me.
“Thank you Goddess. I found it!” I smiled, sneakily making my way to the van to save my Alpha from the danger that’s about to befall him.
Just then, I heard the sound of a loud alarm buzzing all around noisily. It irritated my eardrums but didn’t stop me from moving.
As I ran, I was suddenly stunned to see all entrances and gates being shut!
This is Woods doing. He wants to keep Diego trapped.
I soon picked the scent of more than ten to twenty wolf guards racing from different corners with speed, towards my direction!
Quickly, I hid under one of the vehicles, keeping myself away from their view.
Their thunderous steps paced all around, as they jumped from one vehicle to another, running out of their duty post from different areas, to attend to the Mafia Bosses order.
My heart came beating at the sight of this mighty army, knowing well that they were looking for the Van Xavier marked.
“Please let them not see the van. Don’t let them see it!” I prayed under the vehicle, begging the Goddess.
But it was too late.
“ALPHA DIEGO!” I heard Woods yelling out strongly.
His voice startled me. I had to crawl out when the coast was clear and hid behind a car, just for me to see all the guards surrounding the Van!
“No!” I groaned worriedly, biting down on my lower lip.
The guards had their guns pointing at the marked van, as Woods ordered my Alpha to step out of the vehicle. “We know you’re in there, Diego. I can even pick your scent coming from inside,” Woods said, smiling devilishly.
He stood with the other Mafia Bosses, who had their men pointing their weapon at the vehicle. Even Xavier stood there with them, looking pleased with his plan.
I felt like pulling out my gun and shooting him down, but that will make my presence known and… “No,” I feared, knowing the danger that would follow if I end up being the enemy’s bait to force Diego out.
Still, they finally got him surrounded.
What can I do?
“You know well that you’ve lost already, right Alpha?” Woods chuckled, drawing closer to the Van.
“It’d be best if you just step out calmly and let us do what we want. You can’t fight an army of wolves. You’re powerless. Even your men won’t have the chance to help you, Diego. They will only fail… Just like their Alpha.”
Shockingly, Xavier pulled a guard from the gathering and pushed him towards the van.
I recognized the face of the guard as one of Diego’s men! That bloody Beta fished him out!
“Open it! ” Another Mafia Boss, who looked like an Alpha, ordered the guard while pointing his gun at the fellow’s head.
The guard frowned at this but submitted to a threat when two other Mafia Lords pointed their weapon at him, threatening to end him right there.
This intense situation made me so scared. I felt like jumping out to stop them from touching my Alpha when out of nowhere… BOOM! An explosion came from the ship, shocking everyone gathered!
I was stunned to the point of feeling my heart right in my own throat!
The ship exploded. Oh Crap, the drugs!
“THE GOODS!” I heard the wolves panicking when they saw a huge flame appearing from the large sea transport.
A few guards had to make their move to stop this flame. But when another explosion came in, they all fell back!
“You said he’s going to blow up the East part of the port! That is not the East!” The Bosses faced Beta Xavier, expressing their rage at him.
Even the Beta was confused.
“I swear to the heavens, that was his plan! I don’t know how he did it,” Xavier said, trembling at the feet of the dangerous men who were ready to lash at him.
That’s when a furious Woods used his wolf strength and ripped the back of the Van Diego was in. Only for the Alpha to let out a loud roar, punching Diego’s guard right in the face, and sending the poor wolf to the floor!
“He’s not here!” Woods sparked, directing his attention on a shocked Xavier!
“The Alpha is not here!” He repeated one more time, pointing at the vehicle which turned out to be empty!
That means my Diego was never in the van!
Oh, thank you Goddess!
He’s safe!
But wait. If he’s not there, then where is he?
“Is this some kind of game to deceive us of our goods, Beta?” The others asked Xavier, gathering him.
“You’re working for that bastard, aren’t you?!”
As Xavier was trying to convince them that he didn’t lie nor was he helping Diego, another explosion came from one of the trucks that wasn’t far from them, and that scattered their gathering, sending every Mafia into war.
I had to run back to the shed for safety when that explosion came in. It came as a shock and I wasn’t ready to be blown from another vehicle next to me.
Where I hid, I saw how the guards ran about with their guns, trying to figure out where and how the explosion was taking place.
That’s when gunshots came out from different points, attacking Woods and all the wolves.
I gasped at the sight of this battle, as the enemies hid and began to shoot back at the corners were they believed the attacking was coming from.
But that didn’t stop most of their guards from falling to their death.
They were getting hit!
Woods was swift to flee with a few Mafia Bosses, while the others got shot and died.
The sight of these Mafias falling to the ground pleased me. But I was curious to know who was carrying out the killing and from where.
That’s when a van came speeding out from the parking spot at the left and drove towards the ship, shooting at the enemies.
When I looked at the person who was spraying his bullets out, I was surprised. “Arnold?” It was the Beta!
He had his gun pumping out bullets like crazy, as he blasted some of the Wolves without fear.
When the van came to a stop close to the wooden board that was laid up into the ship, the driver came out with his own gun and began shooting back powerfully!
That’s my Alpha Lord! My Diego!
He’s alright!
“That means he knew about Xavier’s plan all along,” I realized, staring at him while hiding from the bullets flying about.
“Diego wasn’t in the van and the bomb explosion didn’t take place as he had planned. He changed the operation. He knew what Xavier was up to.” I watched, feeling proud of my Alpha.
Both Alpha and Beta avoided the enemy’s attack, as a few guards came jumping out from the back of the van, rushing into the ship to grab the drugs.
Seeing this, I felt I made a big mistake by coming down here.
“Diego doesn’t know I’m here! How will I leave this place without being caught?” I panicked, trying to spot the guards who brought me.
But no luck.
“I need to get his attention. He needs to know that I’m here,” I said, looking at my Alpha.
He was seriously fighting and protecting his guards, who were trying to bring out the substance they came for.
I got so worried and imagined his reaction when he realizes I came down here despite his wish to keep me safe from danger.
“Oh heavens! That might send him back into his harsh side, and… And I don’t want that. I don’t!” I trembled.
Troubled, I changed my plan and decided to just return to the forest and back to the car to hide myself until the guards show up.
But the moment I took a step, I was forced to retreat when a mighty Grey wolf jumped down through the roof of this shed, slamming two of Diego’s men to the ground until they were bleeding from their faces!
This wolf… This is Woods!
I recognized SilverCrest’s Alpha in his beast form! He looked really terrifying with blood stains on his body, almost as if he took a bloody shower!
“Goodness! I think he killed some of the guards who were shooting from different areas!” I noticed through the shooting sound. It had gone a bit low unlike before.
Woods couldn’t see or pick my scent because of the ointment covering my smell. I made sure I was hidden perfectly well behind the big bags of sands, watching this wolf pull out a bottle from his fur.
He poured the content on the guards under his feet, tilting his head like some creepy maniac.
“What’s he doing?” I wondered, finding this behavior creepy.
That’s when I saw this liquid that fell on the guards, bringing out smoke. And just like that, the heads of this guards melted!
I was horrified!
I covered my mouth tightly, looking at this devilish werewolf who dashed ahead to take out more of Diego’s men.
“What kind of liquid is that? Was that acid?!” I shivered, swaying my head.
“I have to leave now.”
Without hesitating, I crawled to the back of the shed to find a perfect route to flee. But I was horrified by the bodies of three more guards I found lying dead behind the building.
They had melted body parts which must have contributed to their death.
“This is Woods doing. That man is so dangerous.” I swallowed my fear and kept on moving, passing these bodies.
Once I made it out from that spot, I found a clearing through a lined up barrels leading to the fence which was close to the forest.
Quickly and carefully, I ran and hid myself, taking cover when the bullets came my way. I even got caught by one of the enemy’s guards.
The latter saw me and was set to stop me when his body came falling to the floor because of a bullet that went into his neck.
Frightened by this, I froze for a few seconds, before getting myself back and making my move.
I was almost out of that place. I had the chance to jump off the fence and make a run for my life, but something caught my eyes.
Something that needed serious attention.
It was Xavier!
That bloody Beta was hiding behind a car, aiming his gun at my Diego!
And my Alpha is busy handling the wolves coming from the other sides. I don’t think he sees this one that’s being hidden!
Concerned for my Alpha, I held back and also took my position right behind a van which was free from any enemy’s view.
I carefully pulled out my gun and stealthily directed my gun at the Beta’s head, trying to maintain a balance.
This is my first time holding a gun. I don’t even know if I’m going to make this shot to not.
But I want to. I want this gun to kill this man once and for all.
“You can do this, Anna. Focus.” I puffed in and out, positioning the gun at my aim and… BANG! I shot right at Xavier, falling on my tooshies. But I didn’t hit his head.
“FUCK! ” Xavier screamed, holding his bleeding neck!
I missed his head but successfully aimed for his neck!
And the time I shot the Beta, Xavier also made his shot at Diego, but missed!
Diego was quick to notice the struggling Beta behind the car and immediately fired him in the forehead, killing him finally!
“Yes!!” I shrieked out, only to get gunshots at my direction as a response.
I don’t know why I did that. I’ve forgotten this isn’t a safe place.
The bullets came with force, making it hard for me to flee to a safe side. Luckily, my two guards showed up. They came to my rescue and began firing back.
“Stay down!” They ordered while shooting and sneaking me away.
I did as they said and kept my head low.
They were making their way to the main gate, ready to force an opening for us to flee when suddenly, I saw Woods going after my Diego!
My heart flew to my throat when I saw the way that beast avoided Diego’s gunshots with speed. He was drawing closer to my Alpha.
Remembering the acidic liquid he used on those guards, I suspected Woods plan when he began fighting seriously with Diego, reaching inside his fur!
Terrified, I did what I had to do to save my Alpha Lord from getting melted! “WOODS!” I roared out loudly with all my strength.
“Ma’am, what are you doing?!” The guards panicked at my action and tried to drag me out through the gate.
But there was no need for that. Woods spotted me at the gate and gazed back in surprise.
The look in his eyes… He must be thrilled to see me again.
But the person who was surprised by my presence the most was my Diego. He stared at my direction in shock.
