Vance stood frozen in place, stunned by how quickly he was out of the game, and even more surprised that Tia had already made her way here.
Before he could react, the muffled sound of paintball guns erupted fiercely. Nine people with eighteen guns fired simultaneously, showcasing a spectacle that many might never witness in a lifetime. The gunfire was intense as the strength of the women suddenly came to light.
Overbearing and arrogant.
The dozen or so guards from the Brigade of Light stationed at the entrance and on the second floor had no chance to hide. White smoke billowed from their bodies as they were taken out of the game, just like Vance.
Only Arthur managed to escape unscathed. As soon as Vance was hit, Arthur dropped to the ground, rolling and swiftly dodging with incredible speed.
He moved in a serpentine pattern, advancing back and forth with agility before darting toward the first floor of the office building.
Once inside, he could avoid further danger.
Darnell, who was watching this crucial battle unfold, nodded slightly. Although Arthur and others lacked Tia’s tactics, their physical instincts were impressive.
Eighteen handguns fired simultaneously, bullets pouring down with overwhelming momentum. In the shadows, nine tall figures suddenly dashed out.
Expressionless and with guns in hand, they moved swiftly and fired continuously. The women launched a decisive assault on the office building, white smoke swirling and filling half of it.
Arthur was covered in dust and dirt as he scrambled for cover. He barely had a chance to fire back before he found refuge on the first floor, clutching his radio.
“Sheldon, you bastard! Why aren’t you firing?”
On the second-floor rooftop, Sheldon blended seamlessly into the darkness, holding a long rifle as he surveyed the battlefield, allowing his comrades to be picked off one by one by the women.
Like Tia, he cherished each shot he had, fully aware that he had only ten bullets to work with. He was waiting, like a hunter, biding his time for Tia.
But all this time, Tia had not shown herself.
Sheldon narrowed his eyes, realizing that Tia was patient. She wouldn’t act until the right moment presented itself.
Gunfire echoed relentlessly.
Nine tall women wielded dual pistols, skillfully changing positions as they advanced toward the office building, exuding an aura that dared anyone to challenge them.
Hiding behind a pillar, Arthur was in a dire situation, managing to squeeze off two shots, only to be met with a barrage of enemy fire.
Dozens of bullets rained down on him, and in the chaos, one struck his arm.
Fortunately, there was no smoke from the wound. He could still fight, albeit painfully. However, several of his teammates peeking out from the second floor were mercilessly taken down by stray bullets.
Yet, Sheldon remained unfazed, still waiting for the right opportunity. In the darkness, his eyes glinted slightly, and the barrel of his gun swayed.
“Sheldon, for the love of God, shoot!” Arthur shouted loudly before darting away again. If he didn’t move now, he would be surrounded and taken out by Phoenix Squad. He barely reached another pillar when a hail of paintballs landed where he had just been yelling from. Arthur was unharmed, but a comrade behind him was hit in the chest by a stray shot.
Arthur’s eyelid twitched. These women showed no mercy.
“Bam!”
Sheldon, who had been lying in wait for an opportunity to strike, finally locked onto a target and fired. The distinctive sound of his rifle echoed through the air in front of the building.
Two tall women staggered as white smoke erupted from their waists. They reluctantly exited the battlefield while Arthur cheered, “Well done.”
Inside the command center, Garrett also showed admiration. Sheldon had proved his capabilities at a critical moment by taking out two opponents at once, easing some pressure off Arthur’s team and dampening Tia’s momentum.
He hoped other team members would quickly retreat and surround Tia’s group.
But before Garrett could finish his thought, his expression suddenly froze.
“Bang!”
Another gunshot rang out, matching the sound from Sheldon’s side-brief and urgent.
A puff of white smoke rose from the second floor, and Sheldon stood up, looking frustrated.
Out of the game!
Tia finally made her move, and her accuracy was terrifyingly impressive.
The entire office building was suddenly in a high-alert state, with the remaining members of the Brigade of Light doing their best to shield themselves.
The seven women continued their relentless assault, pushing forward and quickly reaching the stairs.
Arthur gritted his teeth, leaping out and opening fire with ferocity.
One of the women hadn’t anticipated Arthur’s counteroffensive. Instead of hiding, he dared to launch an attack, leaving her no time to evade.
White smoke erupted from her as she glared at Arthur, silently exiting the battlefield.
“Bang!”
With another heavy gunshot, just as Arthur turned around after taking down one enemy, he felt a bullet strike his rear, causing a sharp pain as he realized he was out of the game.
Three more shots rang out, and three members of the Brigade of Light at a higher vantage point clutched their chests before exiting the battlefield.
There was no doubt about it-this was Tia’s doing.
Garrett, who had been hiding, finally lost his temper. He burst out from the second floor, hands empty of guns but wielding dozens of knives.
Garrett charged like a gust of wind, launching two knives simultaneously. One woman fell to the ground, a paintball mark blossoming on her chest.
At that moment, five women spread out around him simultaneously pulled their triggers, charging at Garrett.
With a burst of speed, Garrett pushed off the ground, executing a forward roll to nimbly dodge the bullets, and then swiftly maneuvered between several trees in front of the building.
He rolled on the ground, landing right in front of another armed woman, a knife flashing in his hand.
Garrett ducked under her shot and jabbed his knife into her waist, taking her out of the game.
Then, with another swift move, Garrett tossed knives with precision and power, quickly taking down the remaining three women.
Everyone watching were stunned by the intensity of the fight. It was wild, impressive, and utterly fierce.
“Bang!”
Just then, another gunshot rang out. Garrett seemed to sense it coming, dodging just in time.
His enemy didn’t relent, firing two more shots, but Garrett evaded them effortlessly. On the second shot, he launched his knife, aimed straight at the eastern side of the large banyan tree.
Silent and deadly.
At the same time, Garrett rushed toward the first-floor lobby.
“Snap!”
The knife struck midway, landing on the ground and losing its sharpness, followed by another bullet that hit Garrett’s thigh.
The pain was sharp.
As Garrett stumbled into the lobby, Tia leaped down from the tree, her body shooting forward like an arrow, gun aimed directly at Garrett’s chest.
She pulled the trigger again.
As the shot rang out, white smoke erupted from Garrett’s body.
Amidst the smoke, Garrett halted, touching his chest with a resigned expression.
“You lost!”
Tia stepped triumphantly into the lobby, but as her left foot landed on the dust-removing mat at the entrance, she felt something grip her tightly, an unbreakable hold.
Suddenly, a large net dropped from above, ensnaring her.
Tia yanked at the net, and in the next moment, a knife shot out from behind the door, pressing against her waist. Tia’s expression changed, and she instinctively twisted away.
She barely avoided the knife.
However, an arrow shot from under the lobby table, and she couldn’t dodge it.
The arrow struck her abdomen, releasing a puff of white smoke.
Tia froze, staring at the smoke in disbelief, unable to process that she had fallen into the trap set by Garrett.
Who lost? Who won?
Arthur and Vance hurried to free her from the modified hunting trap.
“Tia, pride comes before a fall. You should be more humble in your actions!”
Darnell, accompanied by Noemi and the others, walked in from outside, a bright smile on his face. “Otherwise, you might find yourself in a bind. What a shame.”
Tia’s face darkened as she dropped her empty gun and turned to leave.
