“I don’t want to!”
Rosalind couldn’t hold back any longer.
Wasn’t he just taking advantage of the situation?
“Is it because you think I’m not as handsome or wealthy as Ulric?” B7’s sudden change in address and attitude caught her off guard.
“Shouldn’t we avoid discussing this? B7, I paid you to recover the flash drive for me. The relationship between us should be transactional. It shouldn’t involve any personal feelings.”
“I’ve restored most of the surveillance footage from the flash drive, but if you think you can use this to bring down the Walters family, you’re dreaming.”
B7’s tone became more serious and returned to normal.
“That’s my business.”
“But with my help, that’s a different story,” B7 said slowly. “The surveillance footage on this flash drive is only part of it. It’s not comprehensive. If I guess it right, there should be other flash drives, but you didn’t get them, right?”
“They were all destroyed. This is my last hope.”
Rosalind’s eyes dimmed at the mention of this.
She didn’t know what was on the flash drive, so she didn’t know if she could use it to turn the tables and win the case!
“Being destroyed doesn’t mean they’re unrecoverable.”
Rosalind was taken aback. “What do you mean? Even without the originals?”
“As long as surveillance footage is recorded, there will be traces online. I used your flash drive to find the code for that surveillance camera and then hacked into the company that made it to access their core database, allowing me to retrieve everything.”
She stood up from her chair in excitement!
“So you got all the surveillance footage?”
“Yeah,” B7 chuckled. “So, do you want to date me now?”
“No.”
“Don’t you want to get all the surveillance footage?”
B7 had clearly set a trap for Rosalind and was just waiting for her to fall into it. It wasn’t really giving her a choice.
However, he underestimated Rosalind.
Approaches that were too aggressive would backfire.
“If you’re unwilling to give it to me, then forget it. I only want what’s on my flash drive.”
“Tsk, so stubborn!” B7 hadn’t expected to be rejected even after all this.
He couldn’t understand it.
Mainly because he never believed in undying love!
“I hope you’ll give me the video from the flash drive when it’s time. I’ll make the final payment. Then we’ll be done.”
Just as Rosalind finished speaking, she received a text message from the bank.
In just one second, her account balance was wiped clean.
Not even a few cents were left.
“See? I’m not joking with you.”
Rosalind pursed her lips and took a deep breath. “Fine, since it’s yours anyway, transferring it saves me the trouble.”
“Rosalind! My patience is limited!” He was really being driven crazy by her stubbornness. “Just agree to date me for a week. What’s wrong with that?”
“Then tell me why you insist on dating me.”
Rosalind didn’t think it was because she was particularly charming.
There was at least a five or six-year age difference between her and B7. Standing together made their age difference obvious. It couldn’t be because B7 had some kind of mother complex, right?
There were a few hums on the other end of the line before he laughed and said, “Because I want to be Jake’s dad for a few days!”

Rosalind froze. “How do you…”
“I taught him those hacking skills. Surprised?”
