Sean’s POV
My brothers and I watched as Mia tortured and beat up those girls. We didn’t bother to step in, and we had already made sure we covered for her so that no one would come to interrupt her. It was so satisfying to see-and scary at the same time.
The Mia we knew in the past would never do this to anyone. She never even had the strength to beat people up. But seeing how strong she was now and how skilled she had become… it’s kind of strange to me. Even without a wolf, it would take a lot of practice to get to this level of strength.
“Don’t you guys think there’s something strange about her strength? Look at the way she’s handling them without anything stopping her. Those girls are strong! How is she able to do that?” I asked them.
“Probably because she has gone through a lot, and she doesn’t want anyone to bully her again, so she became stronger mentally and physically. Besides, we haven’t seen her for years. You don’t know how hard she trained just to get revenge on us,” Xavier replied.
He’s totally right. Mia is completely blinded by revenge now, and she won’t listen to anyone, no matter what they say to her. So, we could just support her and let her do what she wants. After all, those girls deserve what is happening to them now. They tried to bully her in the first place.
After Mia was done, we decided to go our separate ways, but I couldn’t stop looking at her the entire day. I was watching her the whole time and following her around, but thankfully, she didn’t notice.
However, when I wanted to follow her somewhere else, I got pulled back by her cousin.
“What are you doing sneaking around my cousin? What do you want from her?” she questioned me.
“What makes you think I’m following her around? I’m just trying to protect her. You don’t know anything,” I fired back at her.
She rolled her eyes, looking at me like she was disgusted. “Don’t try to play the victim here. I know you all are having some kind of thoughts against her.”
She’s probably troublesome and annoying most of the time. If she wasn’t Mia’s cousin, I would have probably tried to shake her off. But I can’t do anything since I don’t want to get Mia angry.
“I’m telling you that I have no thoughts against her, and I’m just trying to protect her. Besides, your father gave us this job, remember?” I explained, trying to calm myself.
She pushed me away. “Then stay as far away from her as you can. She’s protecting herself enough, and there is no potential danger. I feel like you’re stalking her. Do you want something else from her?”
“Why do you keep accusing me?! I’m telling you the truth,” I defended.
“Whatever. Get lost!” she said and walked away.
No one would have talked to us like this in the past. However, this humiliation is just temporary. I decided to take another route to look for Mia, and luckily, I was able to see her. She was going into the woods-strangely.
She almost died there-not once but twice-and she’s still going back? Could it be that she lost something? Or does she just like putting herself in danger?
I wanted to call my brothers to come so we could protect her, but then I decided to run after her instead.
I followed her quietly as she went deeper into the woods. There wasn’t anything particular that she was doing. She just sat down for a while, and I could hear her talking to herself. Maybe she just wants to be away from people. I would have left her here if I knew she could protect herself, but I didn’t want to.
Besides, it didn’t look like she was just talking to herself. Upon looking closer, it seemed like she was talking to someone-but there was no one around. If she had a wolf, I would have said she was talking to her wolf. However, that’s a bit impossible.
I got tired of standing and found somewhere to sit.
What have my brothers and I been doing all along? She is very beautiful. I guess the hatred we had in our hearts didn’t let us see the beauty in her in the past, and now we are regretting it.
If I could have her in my arms right now, that would be all that I want. What more could I ask for at this point? But this seems a little bit impossible. I’m very sorry for what I did to her in the past, but our apologies don’t work anymore.
I finally saw her standing up after a while of talking to herself. It seemed like she was arguing for a while. I almost thought she was going crazy, and I wanted to intervene, but it felt like she was hiding something. If she came all the way here to talk, she could have just done that in her room.
I quietly followed her as she went deeper into the woods. She stopped somewhere and looked around. Of course, I’m good at hiding my scent, so she wouldn’t be able to pick it up.
After checking that there was no one around, she carefully took off her clothes.
And that was the first blow for me.
It was hard for me to look at her naked. I felt like a pervert, and I wanted to look away. But why is she getting herself naked? Is she about to shift?
Wait a damn minute-
Is she actually about to shift?
Her body is divine, and I can’t help but react to it. We have the mating bond, after all.
Like I thought she would, she got closer to the clearing. I moved in as well to see what she was trying to do, and to my surprise… she started shifting.
It felt like my heart jumped out of my chest.
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
I watched the entire transformation-and that wasn’t even what shocked me the most. I couldn’t cover my mouth when I saw what she shifted into.
A white wolf.
The same white wolf we’ve been looking for.
The same one that is the only person who could save our lives.
It felt like I was watching an illusion, and at first, it didn’t feel real. So I slapped myself.
But she kept running around, her white fur glowing under the moonlight. I kept following her with all my might.
After a while, she stopped running and went back to pick up her clothes. She shifted back, got dressed, and then left the woods.
The information was too much for me to process. Mia has a wolf-and it’s the white wolf.
She already has a wolf, and she didn’t tell us all along.
This is why she has been able to heal people.
She’s been hiding it all along.
I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.
I ran back to find my brothers and tell them the news.
“Why are you running like that? You look like you’ve lost all your strength,” Nathan asked me.
“Brothers… I just found out that Mia is the white wolf we’ve been looking for,” I blurted out.
“WHAT?!”
