Chapter 92

Book:Stepbrothers Punish Me Every Night Published:2025-3-17

Mia’s POV
“Stop!” I yelled out and everyone stopped.
I looked around to see all eyes on me, probably confused by the fact
that I stopped everyone from fighting. My uncle rushed to check on
me.
“Are you okay Mia? Is something wrong with you? You can talk to
me!” He sounded worried which wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.
I shook my head quickly to put him at ease. “I’m fine uncle. I just
wanted to stop the event first because I have something to say.”
I looked at the brothers and they still have pretty much the same
expression, except… Is that fear I see in their eyes?
The mighty Alphas that have shaken a lot of places are afraid? What
happened to them the last few years I was away? Did they lose their
powers or something? But I could see them fighting well before
right?
“What is it Mia? We can’t let them go for what they did.” Damon
said to me.
I nodded in agreement, “Of course, I certainly can’t forgive them
but… Can you leave this to me to handle?”
“How are you going to handle this?”
“They still have a lot of uses and they are powerful. It would be such
a shame to lose them so soon over something so trivial. At least,
wait for a bigger event.” I suggested.
While I’m planning my revenge, a bigger event should be
anticipated. Though this pack is big, we still can’t rule out the
possibility of pack wars as it’s always happening. Anything could
happen in future.
My uncle agreed with me, “You’re right. Maybe we should leave it
to her to handle.”
Damon nodded, “Whatever you want. You should tell us if you need
help with anything. They’ll never be able to hurt you with us here.”
Sometimes, I forget what it felt like not having a family that cared
about me because I have my uncle and his family. I never thought I
would be living this well if I never met them.
They’re the only reason I’m alive now. They still kept my secret and
treated me like I wanted. There’s nothing more I can be grateful for.
“Don’t worry uncle and cousin. You should go and attend to your
pack duties. I’ll be done without you.” I assured them, signalling
them to leave.
They nodded and looked at the brothers before signalling the
warriors to leave. I was left alone with the brothers who wouldn’t
stop looking at me. I’m sure what’s going on in their minds now is
how to kill me.
“What are you all looking at? Looking for ways to kill me?” I asked
them mockingly.
Xavier moved closer but I didn’t move away from him. His eyes
were filled with so much regret that I didn’t understand what the
regret was for. Was it not killing me or what?
“Why did you lie like that to your uncle? You know clearly that we
waited in that cottage for the rain to stop. We all fainted due to the
poison and you framed us like that?” He sounded sentimental.
I rolled my eyes, “Framing you is nothing compared to what I’m
going to do to you if you don’t leave me alone. I hate your guts and I
already made it clear I don’t know you people, yet you keep clinging
to me.”
Of course I did it out of revenge, they should know that much even
if I don’t admit it at all.
Rolex pulled him back, “You shouldn’t scold her because of this.
She has her reasons for doing that.”
What the hell? Did he just try to defend me in this situation where I
tried to kill him and his entire family? Are they crazy or what?
They’re not acting like their normal arrogant selves and it’s
concerning for me.
“What reasons?” He turned to Rolex, “What reasons would she
have for trying to kill us?”
I scoffed, “What the hell? Are you going to fight me or what? I did it
on purpose, so what? Are you all not guilty?”
I shouldn’t have saved their lives. I should have left them there to
die some days later. I have to blame this useless mating bond that’s
doing nothing but bringing me closer to them. This isn’t what I
want at all.
“You all would have died you know? No… You should have died. You
should have never come back. You don’t even know how you
survived, you think it’s your turn to yell at me?” I fired at them
continuously as they couldn’t say anything to me.
Nathan rushed towards me also, looking at me hopefully. “Did you
save our lives?”
I looked at him with disgust, “save you just to kill you again?
Sounds right but I’m a human, what can I do to help you all?”
“You’re not an ordinary human. You’re a werewolf and-”
I laughed out loud that Sean stopped talking. Did he just say I’m a
werewolf?
“You all are funny. I keep saying I’m a human but you don’t believe
me. Whatever you think, I’m not the girl you’re looking for, you can
stay away from me now-”
“Never!” Nathan cut me off, “we can’t let you go.”
I smirked, “Why? You think you can force me to be with you? Do
you think I’m a pushover just because I’m human? That girl must
have been an idiot to meet you all.”
“Mia, that’s not what we’re trying to say. We’re going to forget this
incident. Please, forgive us. We’re ready to pay for our sins.”
Ready to pay for their sins? There’s no way they think that’s going
to make me forgive them or something. I should get out of here.
Just looking at them makes me mad. I did what my wolf wanted by
saving their lives, they should be grateful and piss off.
“I have a lot of things to do and don’t have time to talk to you. How
about you go and take some leave. Don’t come near me or you’re
dead.” I warned them and left.
I didn’t even bother looking back at them. Just looking at them in
that state was enough to make me feel satisfied for now. But I still
need to craft a good plan to make them pay.
“Mia!” I heard Tristan’s voice calling me from a distance.
I ran towards him with a smile. I didn’t expect to see him here but
it’s a good thing he’s here.
“Tristan! You’re here!” I said happily.
He nodded, “Yes, I’m here to take you somewhere. Will you come
with me?”
Is he taking me out again? Is this even appropriate?
