ALPHA ROMAN’S POV
I was waiting for Zack to bring my car so I could go pick up the medication the pack ordered; the warriors needed to be treated as soon as possible to avoid complications; some had serious injuries, while others had to deal with just a little bruise that wasn’t healing.
Zack offered to go get it, but I dismissed him. I needed to clear my head, and maybe a little time for myself; the long drive might help me calm down.
I didn’t know how else I was going to make her believe me; she wanted to go rogue, like what the fuck!
” Alpha Roman.” Carolina walked down from the hospital building; I was standing beside Zack’s faulty car, waiting for him to bring mine.” I heard you are driving to the city; I was wondering if I could join you. I needed to pick a few bandages for the hospital ”
” Write everything down and hand it to me, I will get them,” I replied, my face was cold as usual. ” I don’t mean to question you but….” He paused, my intense gaze shifting to her.” I don’t have much to do. Is it okay if we go together?” She asked but I didn’t react.” It will make it a lot faster; we don’t know how long the warriors can hold on.” She said and I nodded my head slightly.
Zack drove back after a few minutes ending my waiting. ” Everything is in place.” He tossed me the keys, and I moved around the car to the driving side.
The familiar scent rushed into my nostrils; my head immediately lifted in the direction of the forest.
Her furious growl stopped Carolina from touching the car door, her fierce gaze sitting on the doctor who immediately panicked.
Her slow, predatory step made me chuckle as I felt the corner of my lips raised.
Was she here to cause trouble?
” Go give Vincent a hand.” Vincent was inside helping the doctors treat the warriors; going to war with the royal pack felt like a lost battle at the beginning until Abraham fell right into my trap.
We may have lost a few of our warriors but it was worth it.
” Roman….”
” Get going Zack.” I stiffened a growl as I watched my mate walk towards Carolina in her shining golden wolf.” Alpha Roman….” She let out a warning snarl. Her eyes shifted to me as she approached the car; I strode over to the other side, and without soaring Carolina a glare, I pulled the door open.
Eve whinged her tail before jumping into the back seat through the thought door.
” Get into the seat, Bella.” I ordered after I settled in my seat.
I turned my head to look at her at the back seat and she was sitting with her hands crossed over her chest, in her human form.
My eyes immediately darkened when they settled on her naked shoulder and exposed cleavage but I had to control myself. I let out a cold sigh before parting my lips.” You didn’t bring your dress?” I started pulling off my jacket.” I did.” she replied, but I still handed her my jacket.” I left it at the edge. ” what did I expect from a colored little wolf?
I started the car engine and immediately pulled into the driveway.
” Where are we going?” She asked and I couldn’t help but chuckle. ” Come to the front seat.”
” You are angry?” I remained silent as I took a turn to set on the main road that leads to the city.
It was one thing to get mad but another when your mate was involved.
Seeing her always light my whole being; she represented more than my fated mate. She meant a lot more to me than anyone ever did. She was my whole world if that was enough to explain what I feel for her.
” Are you feeling alright?” I asked and from the rearview mirror, I noticed her nodding her head. I pulled over to the side so she could move to the front seat.
The feeling of wanting to do more than just watch her was still lingering. I let out a frustrating growl before going back to my seat to start the car.
The sun had already gone to rest; it was obvious we would have to battle with the darkness through the drive. It would take us more than an hour to get into the city.” Were you going with Carolina?”
” I didn’t plan to.” I heard her murmur something under her throat.
” How long?” She asked, and I stared at her at my side, her disheveled hair covered half of her face, and my jacket barely covered her bottom.
” Are you tired?” I slowed down a bit, not sure if my driving wasn’t affecting her in any way.
My gaze ran down to her stomach.” I’m fine.” she covered her stomach with her hands, the side of my lips curled up. ” Tell me if you are feeling uncomfortable.” She nodded, staring back at me.
” Roman, ” she called my name after several minutes of driving on the road.” would you have let her into your car if I hadn’t shown up?”
” What do you think?” I cast her a glare.” You won’t.” Her certain voice made me smile.” How sure are you?”
” This is my spot and no one is allowed to take it.” Now I think she was sounding possessive. ” I hope you know turners pack is your pack, too?”
The earlier she forgets about leaving the better for both of us. I wasn’t sure what I would do to change her mind, but I was sure I was ready to let her walk out of my pack, especially not with my pup inside her.
” I’m familiar with things that belong to me.” her reply made me raise a curious brow. ” You are mine.” I stepped on the break in an instant and the car came to a sudden halt. ” Where is this place?” Her eyes stared round the dark place before meeting my gaze.” We will continue after a while.” I unbuckled her seat belt and pulled her into my lap.
” Did you just say I’m yours?” I didn’t miss the lustful look wondering in her eyes.” Did you just realize that?” My finger ran the side of her face, her smooth skin slipping down my palm as I moved it down to her lips.
I ran my thump on her lips before leaning in to give it a gentle kiss.” I’m sorry if I realize it late.” her silent whisper did nothing to cage my desires but rather made them worse.
Her warm breath fanning my lips, my eyes stared deep into her green eyes, which change to gold occasionally.
” You have always been mine.” I pulled her even closer, her face an inch away from mine.
” You have been staring at me for almost a minute now,” I smiled, sensing the eagerness in her eyes.
She licked the corner of her lips, and her tongue felt the front of my pant twitch.
My hand tightened around her waist, feeling the swelling of my dick, the front of my pant getting tighter every second.
It had been three weeks; she was finally here with me. Right, in my fucking arms on my damn lap.
The hunger within me grew, and I couldn’t hold myself; my wolf decided to force his way out.
