Chapter 665: Tell Me What You Want

Ulric thought Rosalind wanted revenge, so he brought Sirena to her to vent her anger however she pleased.
But Rosalind was surprisingly quiet.
After a long while, she raised her head and met Ulric’s eyes.
“Even with power and influence, one can’t bypass the law to directly decide a person’s life or death.”
“Then tell me what you want.”
“I want a fair and just judgement. I’ll find evidence to submit to the court and let the law decide what punishment the murderer of my mother should receive.”
If she had simply wanted Sirena dead, she wouldn’t have needed to lie low for so many years.
Ulric moved closer and took her hand.
“Then I’ll find evidence for you, okay?”
Getting a confession from Sirena wouldn’t be difficult, would it?
“Will you help me?” Rosalind looked into his eyes, now full of sincerity and certainty.
“Of course.”
“Then go investigate.”
This would help Ulric mentally prepare for what was about to happen next.
He would learn the truth sooner or later.

Tilda had always admired Johnny’s efficiency.
It was just during a moment of intimacy that she showed the slightest intention of agreeing to the marriage, and the very next day, Johnny’s parents had already started making preparations!
Seeing how eager his parents were, it really felt like Johnny was a hot potato they couldn’t wait to get rid of.
At first, her parents both disagreed.
After all, the drama between them had really left a bad impression in their eyes! But Johnny was genuinely attentive. Before getting married, he had presented himself as a competent son-in-law. Sweet-talking, diligent, and good at making promises, he bowed to Mr. Wales and Mrs. Wales, swearing he would never disappoint Tilda in this lifetime.
Finally, Tilda’s parents nodded their approval but required an engagement first, with the wedding to be prepared slowly.
Tilda was their only daughter. They cherished her so much that they were reluctant to suddenly marry her off.
“Fine, we’ll get engaged first!” Johnny, having achieved his goal, nodded happily.
This way, in front of Tilda’s relatives and friends, he would be recognized as the Wales family’s future son-in-law, and he wouldn’t have to worry about anyone else having designs on Tilda.
On the way back to his place, Johnny’s phone kept ringing non-stop.
At first, Tilda didn’t pay much attention, but as it continued ringing, she found it annoying.
“Why don’t you answer your phone?”
“It’s just people asking me out for drinks. If I answer, I’ll have to find excuses to deal with them. Better to pretend I didn’t see it.” Johnny drove, in a very good mood, even humming a few songs.
Tilda looked at him and said softly, “You haven’t been out socializing for a long time. Is that okay?”
“It’s fine! The company has people specifically for socializing! Before, when I had nothing better to do, I treated socializing as entertainment. Now I have you, there are so many things I can do. I don’t have time for them.”
His words made Tilda blush.
“Actually… you don’t have to skip every invitation. I’m not that petty! As long as you’re not looking for women, I’m fine. I can’t keep you locked at home and not let you have friends, can I?”
Tilda wasn’t a narrow-minded person!
“Today is one of my friend’s birthday, so they keep calling me. I’ve been pretending to be unavailable.”
“Go join the fun! Otherwise, when we get back to our place, you’ll be bored.”
Johnny raised an eyebrow at her. “Then… will you come with me?”
