Mia reached into her Storage Sack and pulled out a net that shimmered with a dark luster. She then swung the net towards Landon. The net, glowing with a dark sheen, descended upon Landon from above.
Seeing the net coming down, Landon’s face changed drastically. He abruptly halted and swiftly dodged to the side. Landon knew that if he got caught in the net, even if he could break free, it would take several seconds. In a battle, a few seconds could determine victory or defeat.
As Landon dodged the dark net, a mocking smile of imminent victory appeared on Mia’s lips. Landon’s face changed again as he felt a sharp wind behind him.
Slash! The sharp claws glowing with dark light struck Landon’s back, leaving three deep gashes. In excruciating pain, Landon swung his Thunder Hammer backward, but the Assassin Cat had already retreated quickly, avoiding the hammer.
“Damn beast!” Landon cursed. At that moment, the Mountain Ape charged at Landon. He raised his Thunder Hammer to meet the attack, but a strong paralysis suddenly spread from his back, causing his body to stiffen.
“It’s the paralysis effect of the Assassin Cat,” Landon thought in shock. In that instant of stiffness, the Mountain Ape’s massive fist, glowing with an earthy yellow light, struck him.
Boom! Landon spat out a mouthful of blood and fell from the sky like a broken kite, crashing heavily onto the battle platform below. With that, Landon was defeated.
“This young lady wins,” the soul fragment of Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign nodded slightly and pointed at Mia. Mia saluted the Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign and descended onto the battle platform on her Four-Winged Purple Demon Wolf but did not retract her beast pets. It seemed she was ready for another fight.
By this point in the competition, all the prodigies had already fought. Those not seated at the jade table had been defeated and were out of contention for the final five spots. At the jade table sat Leo, Seraphina, Noah Shadow, Maverick, Monk Benjamin, Nightfall, Quinn, Celia, and Salvador-nine in total. Including Mia, who had just won, there were ten contenders left.
Mia knew she needed to defeat at least one more person to secure one of the final five spots. Therefore, after defeating Landon, she did not leave the stage. From her position on the Four-Winged Purple Demon Wolf’s back, Mia scanned the jade table area and soon fixed her gaze on Seraphina.

“Don’t blame me for being rude then,” Mia’s eyes sharpened as she saw Seraphina unwilling to surrender. “Attack!” Mia ordered her Mountain Ape and Assassin Cat.
The Assassin Cat turned into a dark shadow and disappeared into the void. Seraphina’s expression tensed; she knew the Assassin Cat was coming and quickly formed a hand seal with her slender fingers.
Blue ripples of water spread across Seraphina’s body surface. At the same time, her spiritual power formed numerous translucent blue bubbles around her. In an instant, thousands of blue bubbles appeared, covering most of the battle platform.
The blue bubbles had no offensive power but revealed a dark shadow rapidly approaching Seraphina through them. Seraphina’s purpose in using this secret technique was to make the Assassin Cat visible. The Assassin Cat’s strength lay in its speed and stealth; once visible, it would be much less dangerous.
Soon, as it approached, the Assassin Cat swiped at Seraphina with its claws. Seraphina flipped her hand, and the Skywater Blade glowing with blue light appeared in her hand. She swung it out in one swift motion.
Clang! The Skywater Blade clashed with the Assassin Cat’s sharp black claws, producing a piercing metallic sound. The Assassin Cat was knocked back and turned into multiple afterimages as it darted through the blue bubbles to attack Seraphina again.
Meanwhile, the Mountain Ape charged at Seraphina as well. “Waterlight Shadow Sword!” With a shout from Seraphina, blue light waves from the Skywater Blade transformed into countless flawless blue sword beams.
Hundreds of blue sword beams split; half targeted the Mountain Ape while the other half sliced through the blue bubbles towards the Assassin Cat. Despite its incredible speed, once visible through the blue bubbles, the Assassin Cat couldn’t escape the relentless pursuit of the blue sword beams.
In an instant, a sword beam sliced through the Assassin Cat’s leg, sending blood flying. The Assassin Cat let out a pained screech and slowed down slightly.
“Impressive! She actually injured the Assassin Cat!” an onlooker exclaimed in amazement. Seeing the injured Assassin Cat sent a shiver through Landon, who had previously lost to it.
On the other side, Mia’s Four-Winged Purple Demon Wolf let out a howl and flapped its wings to lift Mia into the air. “Destroy those bubbles!” Mia commanded coldly.
The injury to her Assassin Cat made Mia take Seraphina seriously. Following Mia’s order, the Four-Winged Purple Demon Wolf unleashed its demonic power, forming numerous purple flame balls in the sky.
Dozens of purple flame balls fell like purple meteors towards the battle platform below. The bubbles evaporated into nothingness under their heat.
