‘Leila… don’t give up…’
Those words echoed in Leila’s ears and it was all familiar to her.
That voice…
‘Leila… open your eyes…’
And it was calling her as if trying to make her conscious.
Even amidst the darkness, she wanted to open her eyes, but she couldn’t. It was as if there were heavy sacks that were on her eyelids that she couldn’t lift up.
‘You can do it, Leila… Don’t give up…’
It was Silver’s voice.
And Leila knew that she still has someone with her. Even after everything that happened she still has Silver, her inner wolf.
However, no matter how much she tried to open her eyes she couldn’t.
She could feel the poison slowly creeping into her veins.
Leila might not be a quitter. She had never been. She thought of her father and her eyes instantly moistened with tears.
‘My poor father…’ She mentally thought.
However, even though she was still mourning for her father she couldn’t stop thinking that she still has her mother and Darcel. She still has her family with her.
Silver wasn’t the only one who was still there she still has her mother and younger sibling. She still has a lot more reason to open her eyes and fight for her life.
Leila tried so hard to open her eyes even though she was slowly getting weaker and weaker each time she tried doing so.
Never in her life that she ever felt like this. She could never think that just by opening her eyes could be exhausting like this. But she had to. She had to fight.
After a few more tries she was about to give up. When she could smell a very strange smell nearby.
Leila didn’t know who owns it. She wasn’t sure whether it was a friend or a foe. She didn’t even distinguish whether it was a rogue or whatever.
She swallowed hard even amidst in her already dried throat.
For the nth time, she tried opening her eyes and she almost shrieked with joy as she triumphantly opened it a bit.
But it was just for a short while.
She clenched her jaw as she felt the searing pain from her wound. It was so intense that she felt like she was already dying.
Leila tried to open her eyes for the last time. Exhaustion and feebleness slowly succumbing her entirety. She was about to look at her wound but something caught her eyes.
It was just a few seconds before she was slowly eating by darkness.
She felt someone’s presence and she knew that it was a strange looking woman who caught her eyes a few moments before she finally closed her eyes.
It was an unfamiliar woman with long jet black hair dancing with the air like it was made for it to fly and play with the cold breeze. A black dress that swayed until the ground was perfectly hugging her slender body.
Leila couldn’t picture inside her head the woman’s face… but all that she could remember was her purple tinted lips. It was just so peculiar.
“What a poor soul…” It was the last words that she heard as her consciousness had finally lost and darkness overtook her entirely.

Meanwhile…
“You know that I am not accepting a prolific and good news, Viego.” A man wearing a mask stated at his second in command right away as he entered the room and bowed his head for respect and greetings.
The man in front of him swallowed hard as he nervously stood up.
“Have you found out anything from the Moon Howlers Pack?” He inquired right after making the man in front of him scared the wits out of him.
However, he had to make sure to deliver the news.
He didn’t know whether their master might be happy about it but at least they could have a chance now.
“The alpha and luna of the Moon Howlers Pack already arrived, M-Master…” He said using his nervous tone of voice.
The masked man the master of them all clenched his jaw behind his mask.
He wasn’t expecting that the alpha and luna of the said pack would certainly come back this soon. He gripped at his wine glass and threw it on the wall causing a loud breaking sound of the glass.
Viego shivered down his spine as he swallowed the lump in his throat.
“B-But… There is something that you should know, M-Master… It’s about M-Miss Leila… We are still investigating about it… But she suddenly ran away from the pack we still don’t know that reason but-”
“What did you just say?!” Their master asked there was a hint of excitement and amusement written in his tone of voice.
It was as if he was close to laughing.
“Leila ran away from the Moon Howlers Pack? Where is she now? Did they find her?” Their master inquired this time, Viego was sure at their master’s exhilaration.
He nodded his head in agreement.
“Leila is still on the run, Master. Our men are also after her already. We are trying to take this opportunity to bring her to you.” Viego said in pure confidence.
Then, the man with mask and black hood let out a bark of laughter.
“Well, well, well, it seemed like fate had already given me this chance.” He stated with pure amusement.
Then, he stood up and faced the still nervous Viego who was trying his hardest to stay calm and compose, even though he was failing miserably. Their leader was just so intimidating that he couldn’t stop himself being so anxious and scared at the same time.
“Make sure to bring Leila to me… If not, I might… have your head, Viego… And this time, I am very… very serious.” Their master uttered those words slowly and with pure resolved, causing his second in command to shake in fear.
But Viego had no other choice but to nod his head at their master.
“O-Of course, Master.” He replied with pure fortitude as he slightly bowed his head and bid his goodbye at him.
The very moment Viego went out of the room the masked man smirked as he walked towards a huge old, framed window.
“I will soon have you, Leila… Finally, I already have this chance…” He smiled evilly as he whispered those words just under his breath.
Then, he let out a loud bark of laughter as if everything… every bit of his plan… have finally coming into reality. He finally had his chance of getting the power that he was planning to since time immemorial.
