“What the f*ck is going on?!” Hector cursed as he tried to block Leila.
Hunter tried to stop her but she was just so strong.
“Ouch! F*ck!” Hector cursed loudly as he felt his arm getting wounded by Leila’s elongated nails.
She was mad!
No!
She was livid!
“What the heck, Leila!” Hunter was trying to stop her, but she just wouldn’t stop.
“You killed my father!”
That was all that she was yelling about.
But their parents were trying to stop her obviously bewildered and shocked at her sudden accusations.
“Leila… Stop. Please stop! Leila! I said stop! Those are my parents!” Hunter’s voice boomed in the four corners of the room causing Leila to take an abrupt stop.
However, when his eyes met hers he swallowed hard.
It was filled with so many emotions that he couldn’t comprehend.
Then, she stopped a bit far from all of them.
But what he didn’t expect was that she smiled at him sardonically.
It was as if all of a sudden, she wasn’t the same Leila he met. It was as if she transformed into another person.
“Stop?” She uttered mockingly causing everyone to be stunned at the way she said the word.
There was hint of mockery and danger in the way she said it causing them to feel so dumbfounded.
“Then, fine…” She said in between her gritting teeth.
Then, she glared at his parents who were standing near her door with their forehead creased.
“Why did you kill my father?” She asked furiously.
But they simply looked at her like she was spouting nonsense, making her angrier. Even Silver groaned in annoyance.
“Dear… We didn’t even know who your father is.” Hera Black calmly retorted causing her canines to bare again.
Her anger was so much that it was slowly consuming her already.
“L-Leila…” Hunter called her but she didn’t even take a glance at him.
She ignored Myrtle’s worried look as she tended with her husband near their parents.
“Would Lindon Mercado ring a bell?” She snapped at them.
Their foreheads creased like they didn’t even have a clue who it was. That made her angrier.
‘How dare them to not even remember my father!’ She mentally commented as she fisted her both hands.
Leila couldn’t stop the adulterated anger immensely consuming her.
She pursed her lips together.
“So, you don’t even know him, huh? You have forgotten about him, you heartless nuts!” She said the words sarcastically.
“Hey! Watch your words!” Hector angrily warned her but she ignored him.
“Leila…” Hunter dangerously called her name castigating her but just like Hector, she didn’t care.
All that she wanted to know right now was the truth.
Although she knew about it already.
Leila still wanted to confirm from their mouth. She wanted to speak to tell her everything.
“Lindon Mercado… You killed him in the woods… I witnessed it when I was five. My memories are back…” She finally revealed causing them to be shocked at her bold accusation.
But she was focused on Hera and Hudson’s shocked expression.
She saw a hint of recognition in their faces causing her to grit her teeth in both anger and frustration.
“It seems like it already rings a bell, huh?” She uttered in pure anger and disgust.
Then, Hunter tried to get near her.
“Leila…” He called her name but she simply gave him a deadly and cold look.
Her dark brown eyes that were once filled with so much joy and love suddenly filled with so much hate, betrayal and pain.
“L-Let’s talk about this calmly. Dad… Mom…” He said as he called his parents.
But he didn’t expect the guilt that was written in their faces.
His heart was beating so fast and in pain inside his chest.
“I-Is this all true?” Hunter threw them that unwavering question.
“What the hell, Hunter!” Hector, on the other side, tried to rebuke him.
But Leila’s sardonic laughter filled the room.
“Of course, it is. They killed my father. I witness it and I can’t believe that I will meet you here…” She said in between her gritting teeth.
Anger was dripping into her voice causing him to feel the escalating fear in his entire system.
“L-Leila…” Hunter tried to calm her as he walked near her but she moved away.
Her reaction pained him to the core.
“Don’t come near me… You… All of you… I despised and cursed you all…” She said those words with pain, anger, and emphasis.
His lips parted as his breathing hitched.
And before everyone could even react, Leila shifted into her wolf form causing everyone’s mouth to agape.
Then, she jumped at her window causing everyone to curse under their breaths.
“Damn! S-She’s really a…” Hector couldn’t complete his words.
“You didn’t tell us…” Hera spoke her voice was hysterical.
“And you didn’t tell us that you killed someone, Mom!” Hunter retorted back.
His voice was wavering as he wanted to walk out and follow Leila.
“Stop it, Hunter… Don’t even say those words to your mother or follow her.” Hudson warned him dangerously as he stopped him from doing what he ought to do.
He gritted his teeth as he looked at his father painfully.
“D-Did you really kill… h-her f-father?” He asked as his voice croaked.
Silence filled the room as all of them looked at their parents.
Even in this wildest dream they couldn’t think about it. They pictured their parents to be loving, caring, and calm.
He was so sure that they wouldn’t do any drastic moves unless they have to do it.
But now…
He was just so shocked… worried… and even confused.
Hunter didn’t know whether he could accept if they really did it to Leila’s father.
“D-Dad… M-Mom… I want the truth.” He added pleadingly.
He was silently hoping that they didn’t.
But their expression was saying otherwise causing his hope to slowly fade just in front of him.
“We are sorry, Son…”
His fears slowly came to life as he felt his heart broke.
He heard Myrtle gasped in shock as Hector murmured a soft curse under his breath.
It was as if his entire world stopped just hearing those words from his own mother’s mouth.
‘Damn it! How can I even face Leila now?’ Hunter mentally thought as he swallowed the lump in his throat, hoping that it could even ease the pain in his heart.
