Chapter 46
Concern
***
Leila woke up the next day with a huge smile pasted on her lips. She was to the moon. She couldn’t contain her happiness as she rolled side by side while embracing her pillow tightly.
Then, a loud thud resonated in her room as she fell into her bed.
“Ouch! Damn!” She murmured under her breath as she held her back.
However, she smiled like a lunatic. Even her back and butt were aching a bit that didn’t make her frown or feel sad. In fact, she giggled at her crazy antics.
“My goodness’ Leila, you look like a sick puppy.” She commented as she looked at herself in the mirror after picking herself up.
She let out a deep sigh but her lips didn’t even change with a smile still lingering in it.
Damn!
She really couldn’t stop herself from reminiscing about everything that happened last night.
Then, her face turned as red as a tomato.
But she couldn’t deny the fact that she was certainly glowing. Her cheeks were flushed. Her lips were smiling. Her aura was light and full of positivity.
She couldn’t believe that she felt like she was floating in the air something that she couldn’t believe that was existing.
Leila instantly prepared herself trying to make it fast since the servant omega was already calling her for breakfast.
Her cheeks blushed when she closed the door behind her.
She remembered that she would be facing Hunter later. She couldn’t stop herself from beating so fast inside her chest. She was nervous and excited at the same time.
This was her first time feeling this way and she didn’t know what else she could even do to stop the giddiness that she was feeling.
Well, as if she wanted to stop the thrill that was trying to nurture inside me.
“Good morning!” Leila greeted Myrtle the very moment she entered the kitchen.
She smiled sweetly at her as she took a swift glance at the dining area.
“Good morning, too. You look so hype today.” Myrtle smilingly commented as she greeted her back.
However, there was no one around. Her forehead creased as she looked at Myrtle. She smiled at her as she shrugged her shoulders. She didn’t know why but she couldn’t say a word to Myrtle about her and Hunter.
Besides…
There was something that made me stop and think of something.
Leila swallowed hard.
‘W-What are we now, anyway? I mean… yes, we k-kissed and all… B-But…’ Her mind was already lurking around and she couldn’t focus while her heart was suddenly being succumb by loneliness and she didn’t even know where it was coming from.
She let out a deep sigh.
“Are you okay?” Myrtle asked all of a sudden.
She couldn’t hide the concern in her voice.
And so, she had to give her a forced smile to stop her from worrying.
“Uh, o-of course. What’s for breakfast?” She asked trying to make her voice a bit livelier.
Myrtle smiled at her sweetly.
“Well, we have fried egg and bacon here. We also have some fresh vegetable salad if you want.” Myrtle explained as Leila helped her get the food.
She swallowed hard and looked around, hoping that she would see some ‘people’ coming in the dining area.
However, there was none.
Especially that Myrtle was already getting some plates and it was only two.
“Uh… W-Where are the others?” She inquired curiously.
But more of the fact that she wanted to know where Hunter might probably be.
Myrtle smiled meaningfully but she was just too confused to understand why.
“Oh, Hector and Hunter went somewhere. Elder Howard asked them to go somewhere, and it is quite confidential that they can’t simply share the details.” Myrtle explained carefully as she placed the plates on the table.
Then, she shrugged her shoulders and looked at her.
“Anyway, I am already used to it. For now, it’s just the two of us.” Myrtle said smilingly as they shared that sumptuous breakfast.
Leila let out a deep sigh as she walked around the garden.
Myrtle said that she was feeling sleepy. Perhaps, it was because of her hormones. And she couldn’t blame her though.
She let out a deep sigh as she saw Butler Henry.
Her forehead creased as she looked at him.
“Miss Leila…” Butler Henry called her and slightly bowed his head.
She smiled at him.
However, there was a sudden curiosity that was eating her up.
“Uh…” She suddenly said but she didn’t know whether it was a good thing or not.
Butler Henry looked at her seriously making her gulped in pressure.
She didn’t know how the heck everyone around the community could be this serious face.
Leila mentally let out a deep sigh.
“What is it, Miss Leila?” Butler Henry politely asked.
She let out a deep sigh as she tried to gather the courage inside her.
“Uh, can I… can I talk to you for a minute?” Leila inquired a bit ashamed of what she was about to ask.
Butler Henry nodded her head.
“Of course, Miss. What is it all about? Perhaps, we can talk under the huge tree there. It is a bit hot here. It won’t be good for you, Miss.” Butler Henry suggested with concern.
Leila couldn’t help but smile.
If there was one thing that she noticed here it was the politeness and kindness of the people around. Especially Butler Henry who seemed to be so concerned about her.
She couldn’t believe that someone could be this kind to her.
“Uh, I don’t want to be too nosy but… But if I will be staying here for… you know, for a quite some time… can you… can you at least tell me about Hunter?” Leila was trying so hard to utter those words.
And it wasn’t easy because he might think that he was being nosy again.
Butler Henry let out a deep sigh.
“The best person who can tell you that, Miss… Would be the Master himself.” She almost lost her courage after hearing those words from him.
However, his next words bought hope to her.
“But perhaps there was one thing that I have to say, Miss. Master Hunter… He had been through a lot already. And I simply hope that he would soon be happy. I hope that he wouldn’t experience being alone and lonely again…”
Hearing those words it suddenly made me think that Hunter… There was more to him that she hadn’t discovered yet.
And Butler Henry… She had to know about it.
She had to know.
With those things, she felt so much concern building inside her heart for Hunter.
