“Damn it!” Hector was walking back and forth as he uttered those curses under his breath.
He couldn’t believe that Hunter could go on to this extent. However, he couldn’t compete with it. He was just hoping that everything will be okay and their parents… They needed to go back here as soon as possible.
The elders haven’t decided to approve the ritual yet. And if they found out that the family had done this without their consent, he didn’t know what might happen.
However, right now he knew that whatever happened, we have to make sure that Leila was fine. They couldn’t let her die.
“Stop worrying. My father already sent me a message.” Myrtle suddenly said as she walked towards him.
It seemed like she was a bit calmer and more composed now rather than a while ago. Well, he wasn’t surprised anymore since she wasn’t a fan of something like that blood and all.
She was just too demure and would want a peaceful conversation rather than a bloodlust fight.
“Your parents… They are coming home. I think they triumphantly ruined the enemy’s base.” She announced discreetly causing Hector’s mouth to slightly drop open.
Myrtle nodded her head as she held my hands.
It was as if he found himself falling for her again this time, it was deeper and more passionate.
“What can I do without you?” Hector absentmindedly stated making Myrtle blush.
Then, she chuckled and slightly shook her head.
“Stop trying to pull a trick on me. Just don’t be too worried. Leila and Hunter can surpass this. We must believe to them.” She uttered hopingly.

“Leila!”
Someone was calling her name but when she looked around, she couldn’t see anything but darkness.
“Hey! Leila!” The voice became louder and louder that was making her ears hurt.
She covered her ears as she buried her face on her knees.
“Come here! Stop hiding!” The voice said but she shook her head.
She wasn’t hiding but she doesn’t want to move, either.
It was as if she would just love to stay there forever.
“Leila!” The voice seemed to be coming near her.
But she shook her head…
‘No… Don’t come near me…’ That was all that kept on running into her mind.
She didn’t want to be interrupted there. She felt like she was safe in the middle of darkness. She felt serenity in silence. She felt like it would be better for her to stay there… forever.
“Are you that weak?” The voice asked her seriously.
Leila swallowed hard as those words cracked her thoughts.
She slowly raised her head and swallowed hard when she saw a huge silver white furred wolf. Its fur was shining amidst the darkness, and she couldn’t stop herself from being so mesmerized by it.
“Y-You talk?” Leila inquired and her eyes widened as she held her mouth.
She could talk now. She could hear her voice again. Unlike a few minutes that she couldn’t even say a word even though she was trying to open her mouth.
Until she finally gave up.
She had embraced the darkness surrounding her.
“Of course…” The white furred wolf replied as it stared at her straight in the eyes.
“W-What are you?” She couldn’t stop herself from asking.
“I am you…” It replied causing my forehead to crease.
She was confused like she couldn’t comprehend anything anymore.
“If you accept me, I can be you and you can be me…” She explained profoundly causing her lips to part away.
She doesn’t understand what she was saying.
How?
How could that be possible?
‘She could be me, and I could be her?’ Leila asked herself but the silver white furred wolf groaned, as if she could hear my thoughts.
“Yes, I can.” It replied causing me to be more awed.
“You have to go back now, Leila… You have to accept me so, you can go back.” It explained seriously.
But everything was a blur to her.
She didn’t know what she meant by that. She didn’t know what to say. She didn’t know how she would be able to decide into.
“What is your name?” Leila inquired curiously.
But the silver white furred wolf just stared at her.
“Give me a name, Leila. I would be happy if you gave me a name instead.” It stated excitedly.
She smiled at her.
“Fine. I think Silver will be best suited for you.” She declared smilingly before she raised her hand and tapped her head.
“Silver. I like that…” It uttered and let out a loud groan.

Hunter groaned in pain as he tried to stifle himself. He felt like he was going to die.
After biting Leila, his body began to tremble as his Uncle Bob tried to give him some medicine and some painkillers.
However, the pain was just too much to bear.
“You have to stay strong, Hunter. You have to in order for the wolf to find Leila. You are the bridge for the wolf to find her and save her.” Uncle Bob uttered when a loud knock from the door interrupted him.
“Open the door, Bob.” He could hear his father’s voice but everything was already a blur.
He could hear voices.
And it was as if they were all too blurry to him.
“She… She’s awake! She’s awake!” It was Hector’s voice.
And that was all that I could hear before darkness overtook me.

“She… She’s awake! She’s awake!”
A familiar voice resonated in her ears.
Leila tried to open her mouth but she couldn’t utter a word. Even her eye lids were just too heavy to lift. She swallowed hard as she tried to see what was happening around her.
She saw Hunter on the other bed.
Worry began to overtake her system but she was just too weak to look at him.
She closed her eyes and tried to open them again.
“You have to take a rest, Leila…”
She didn’t know who said those words. But it was lulling her making her want to close her eyes and take a good rest.
Besides, she was in pain. Every part of her body felt so painful that she just wanted to sleep and take it all away. Especially her neck it was as if something had been punctured in it that she couldn’t even move.
Leila breathed heavily as she tried to calm her nerves. But it was in chaos especially when pain was all over her body.
She wanted to move. She wanted to win over whatever pain was in her. Besides, she felt so hot all over. It was as if there was a strong aura covering every pore of her skin… sealing her.
But she was too exhausted.
She couldn’t do anything.
It seemed like her resolve wasn’t enough because her physical body was already too tired and in pain.
She let out a loud breath and for the last time, she looked around. She saw a familiar faces around her she swallowed hard, even though her mouth was dry… until it all became blurry, and exhaustion overtook her.
