“So friends?” Lucy asked with a smile on her face.
“Yeah friends,” Crystal replied and smiled back.
“Then you don’t mind giving your new friend a hug, do you?”
Crystal chuckled and embraced her. The two of them spent a lot of time chatting, holding hands and hugging each other.
Crystal thought that Lucy had changed for real, that they were friends now, only if she knew how long she was.
Lucy was just putting on an act, she had always been a wolf in sheep’s clothing but Crystal had encountered her wolf side in the beginning, which is why she had no idea that this wolf could also dress up like a sheep.
Lucy did not call her here to kill her or to win her trust, rather she had carefully planned her game to hurt Crystal by making her jealous and then make her leave Logan.
She knew that Logan had no idea who his mate was, he can only recognise her with her pheromone and his wolf reacts to it, so she was spending time with Crystal in order to get stained by Crystal’s pheromone.
That was a smart move she made, if she could get enough of it on her body, then Logan would go into heat the moment she is close to him, the Alpha will not be able to resist her.
The moment he goes into heat, he would want to mate with her and that was the plan.
Lucy knew that Crystal would be shattered the moment she sees her mate trying to get intimate with another female. With her newly awakened wolf, she would not be able to stand the sight and she would hate Logan for the rest of her life.
She might take a drastic step like leaving the city and then Logan would never be able to find her again.
After staying with Crystal for a while, Lucy discovered that her body had been stained with Crystal’s pheromone, so she decided to take the next step.
“So where do you intend to go from here?” She queried.
“Oh, I am going to the market, I need to get some food items,” Crystal replied.
“Okay, that is great. I also wanted to do the same, so don’t you think we can go together?”
Lucy’s request didn’t really go down well with Crystal, she wanted to go to the market alone because it was just a few things she needed to buy, then go back home immediately but she had no doubt that Lucy would buy a lot of stuff when they got there and that would take her time.
However, she did not want to ruin the new friendship they had formed, so she agreed to the decision.
“Alright, that is great. You can come and escort me to the room, so that I can take some cash and we could go through the small gate on that side of the Castle,” Lucy suggested.
“Um… But wouldn’t Logan see me? I thought you said he was around,” Crystal queried nervously.
Before she came here, she had decided that she would see Logan today but now she no longer had the courage to do it.
“Don’t worry about that Crystal, yeah Logan is around, but he is asleep. If you know him too well, then you would know that he is a deep sleeper.” Lucy smiled
Crystal chuckled. Like father, like son. Logan and Aidan shared a lot of behaviors and characters, Aidan too was a deep sleeper.
“Alright then, let’s go.” Crystal gave her consent and they stood up.
Lucy led her to Logan’s Chambers and asked her to wait at the half-open door, then she went into the bedroom.

Meanwhile, Logan had woken up from sleep a long time ago, he had come out of the shower and was getting dressed when suddenly, that pheromone struck his nose.
His wolf screamed mate and his body went into heat immediately. He came out of the cabin and his gaze fell on Lucy, slowly he advanced towards her.
He was not in control of his body right now and all he wanted was to have sex, there was lust in his eyes as he stared at her.
“Um… Logan? What is wrong?” Lucy asked in pretense.
She just wanted to confirm that her plan was working and also get Lucy’s attention at the same time.
Logan did not give her a reply, he just walked to her, pulled her to his body with his eyes fixed on her.
* * * * * Crystal’s POV * * * * *
I stood by the door waiting for Lucy. Honestly, I am surprised how we moved from enemies to friends in just one hour.
She had already told me all about her childhood and was eager to know more about me. I also did tell her a lot but I made sure not to mention the existence of Aidan. I do not want her or anybody related to Logan to find out about Aidan yet.
Standing in this hallway made my body shiver, not because I was cold but because I was nervous. I was nervous knowing that just a block separated me from Logan, was he still mad at me?
But how do I find out if I don’t go to face him, how long would I hide away from him? I was just too scared to face him.
I checked my wrist watch, Lucy is really taking a lot of time, what could be holding her there? Has Logan woken up? I hope not. If he has, then I will just have to leave.
“What are you doing?” I heard Lucy’s voice, followed by a moan.
My heart flipped. What could be going on there?
I went closer to the door and looked in through the little space, I was shocked with what.
I saw Logan forcefully pinning Lucy’s hands to the wall while kissing her neck, he was about to get intimate with her and it does not look like she consented to it. How could he do this?
I felt pain strike my heart and a drop of tear escaped my eye. This was not the first time I had seen Logan trying to get intimate with Lucy, but this time around it pained me like never before.
Maybe it’s because I am a werewolf now and we are now more connected as mates. I could not stand the scene, I wiped off the tears in my eyes then turned around and ran off.
I accidentally pushed down a flower vase by his window while running, and it made shattering sounds as it hit the floor.
But I ignored it and ran off. I ran out of his Chambers and headed for the gate.
I think I should just leave this city, I should just look for a way to steal my baby away from my step parents and flee from this city.
As long as I stay here, I will keep on getting hurt again and again. I should just end this pain once and for all.
