* * * * * Crystal’s POV * * * * *
“So if we unleash your powers, you are going to do what we want, you would convince Logan to awaken our Clan’s sword, deal?” My stepmom asked.
“Yes Mum, deal!” I replied.
“Alright then, I will be back,” mum-two said and walked towards the kitchen.
I wonder what she had gone to get. So I am really a werewolf?
I can’t wait to hear my wolf speak. I am sure it would be a large wolf considering that my father is a pure Alpha.
My step dad sat on the couch looking in the direction of the kitchen with a smile on his face.
It’s still hard to believe that they knew all these for all these years and they never told me, I am sure they wouldn’t have told me if not for what they needed from me.
Few minutes later, my stepmom returned with a small knife. What does she want to do with that?
“Alright Crystal, this is going to hurt a bit but don’t worry, it will heal up in minutes once your wolf is awakened,” she said.
“Um.. Okay, but what do you want to do?” I queried curiously.
I already had an injury so why does she want to add to the pain?
“I want to remove the seed in your shoulder that has kept your powers sealed,” she replied.
A seed? What seed is she talking about?
She came closer to me and held my left arm, the same arm on which it’s elbow was bruised.
She aimed the sharp edge of the knife’s blade on my shoulder and before I could object, she pierced it.
Pain flooded through my body as the thick dark reddish blood poured out. I groaned in pain, then as I watched… I saw something as tiny as a button pop out of my body.
My stepmom took it out with the knife and I stared at it in puzzlement.
“What is that? The seed?” I queried, trying to ignore the pain in my arm.
“Yes, it’s a combination of wolfsbane and some other substances, it’s a kind of pill that neutralizes the werewolf abilities and puts the wolf to sleep,” my stepmom announced.
Well I have never heard of that before, I’ve only heard of wolfsbane and its effect on werewolves but the effects are never permanent, it wears off in a few days.
I guess this was an enhanced version of it.
“How long is the transformation supposed to take?” I asked my stepmom.
“The effects of the seed would wear off perhaps in minutes, so just be patient,” she replied while cleaning the blood rolling down my arm with a tissue.
My shoulder was really hurting me. I wonder what these special powers that I have could be, was it so special that my parents had to lock away my entire werewolf power? They did not even care to tell me about it.
Few minutes later, I started to feel dizzy and I held my head.
“Um mum, I am feeling dizzy, is that supposed to happen?” I asked.
My eyesight was starting to get blurry.
“Well, that’s not exactly how I expected it to go but I guess it’s normal. Since it’s evening, I think you should go to bed so that by tomorrow you will be as good as new,” she advised.
I nodded and headed to the stairs. I felt my head spinning as I climbed the stairs, I had to hold the rails for support.
Since Aidan was sleeping in my room, I decided to go to Mary’s room. I am unstable right now and I wouldn’t want to hurt him by mistake.
I got Mary’s room and luckily for me, the door was not locked.
I pushed it open, clicked on the light switch and fell onto her bed.
I can’t even remember if I closed the door or not, the next thing was my eyelids getting heavy then sleep took over.

“Crystal!… Crystal!… Crystal wake up,” an unfamiliar voice called me in my sleep.
It felt like it was in a dream or some sort of trance. Who could be disturbing my peaceful sleep right now?
I groaned and refused to open my eyes. whoever it was, they will just have to go away when they get tired.
Well that was what I thought, but I was wrong. The voice kept calling me until I forced my eyes open.
I found myself in a scattered room. It looks like the last person here had left in a hurry, the wardrobe was open with dirty looking clothes laid on the floor.
I looked towards the window and from the daylight, I could tell it was morning already.
I looked at the door and noticed I had left it open but surprisingly I wasn’t feeling cold, even though the weather looks cold to me.
But where is the person calling me? Did they leave already?
“No, I am up here,” the voice replied.
I looked up to the ceiling immediately but I saw no one, where the hell is she?
“Oh, I did not mean up there, I meant up here in your head,” she said.
In my head?
“Who… Who are you?” I asked anxiously.
“I am Eva, your wolf!”
“What? You hurt my wolf?”
Just then I remembered what happened yesterday before I went to bed. My stepmom taking off the seed and all that.
So she’s my Wolf?
I looked at my arm immediately but the injury was gone, not even a scar left there. Both the ones I received from the car incident and the one my stepmom had inflicted on me in the process of extracting the seed.
How did they suddenly disappear?
Leaving not even a scar, I can’t believe it.
“What are you looking for? Your wounds? I already took care of those,” that voice said in my head.
The whole thing felt strange, I have another voice in my head?
“So you are my wolf, where have you been all this while? I thought you were supposed to wake up after my sixteenth birthday?” I queried.
“You already know the answer to that question Crystal. Anyway, your parents found out about a few of our special powers so they decided to put the powers and I to sleep, but this is our destiny Crystal, it was bound to happen someday no matter what others planned. Fate always does things in its own way,” she said.
Well, she sounds smart to me. I wonder how old she is.
“What powers are this you speak of? And why can’t I see you?”
I had a lot of questions to ask. That wolf better be ready.
“Well our power was given to us by the Moon goddess, you will just have to see for yourself and as for seeing me, you would need to shift in order to do that.
But I won’t advise you to shift forms yet because it’s still your first time and it would hurt a lot. I think you should wait for the next full moon that is coming up soon, because then you won’t have an option but to shift,” she advised.
So I am a werewolf?
Well this is so cool! I am glad my step parents unleashed my powers, too bad I’m going to disappoint them by not keeping to my own side of the deal.
