* * * * * Crystal’s POV * * * * *
“Crystal, do not test my patience, open the door now!” He yelled while banging on the door.
Quickly I started to put away everything that belonged to Aidan, throwing them into a large basket.
I did not want Logan to come in and see any of that or he would discover the existence of my baby. I discarded everything that could raise suspicions, Logan is quite smart so with any little hint, he could put my whole secret together.
I had put everything away just in time before I heard a loud bang on the door and it opened.
He had broken the door open. What kind of a man is this? Actually animal!!
He walked in and stood staring at me angrily. What does he think he’s doing? If there’s anyone that should be angry here, it’s me. He has no right to be mad at me.
“Crystal!” He growled. “Why haven’t you been picking up my calls?” He asked in a loud voice.
I wonder what the neighbors would think if they heard the noise from all this drama. I had been living peacefully in this neighborhood for a month or two now and no one knew my whereabouts or heard my voice, very few people even knew of my existence, but once again Logan had found me and had already started a drama.
He is going to spoil my name in this neighborhood, like he had done the other time he got me pregnant and left the state.
“I haven’t been picking your calls because I do not want to!’ I retorted angrily.
“Why not Crystal? Why didn’t you come to work today?” He queried
“Oh! So your soon-to-be mate did not tell you that she fired me. I am glad that she did because I would have quit the job anyway.”
He came close and held my shoulder, I pushed him fiercely.
“Why are you doing this Crystal? I thought everything was all right between us?”
“Oh yes Mr Logan Stewart, I thought as well too but I did not know that you were such a lying con artist that would only use people for your own selfish benefits.”
His eyes darkened after I said that and he growled.
“What are you saying Crystal? You know that is not true!” He protested.
He took a step closer to me and I moved backwards.
“Don’t come close to me Logan and don’t try to pretend with me, I heard everything with my own ears, I heard it all!”
“And what exactly did you hear?” He queried.
Was he really asking me that? He knows very well what I am talking about.
So why does he want to hear me say it?
“Tell me Crystal, what did you hear?” He asked again
“Don’t try to act smart with me Logan, I clearly heard you when you told your so-called soon-to-be Luna that I was just a substitute for her, that I was just a sex tool for you, an object to be used for fun.
How could you play with my emotions like that Logan? How could you have pretended to be in love with me? You made me fall for your lies and once again you took advantage of me, you hurt me for the very third time Logan. I hate you from the deepest part of my heart and I wish to never see you again.”
“Please don’t say that Crystal, this is a big misunderstanding.” He retorted.
“No Logan, I am not falling for your lies again. I have been deceived one too many times and I am not going to trust your words ever again, so please leave here!” I yelled
“No Crystal, I am not leaving here until you hear me out.”
“And I’m not going to listen to you either!” I retorted angrily.
I was so upset that I didn’t even want to see his face.

* * * * * Logan’s POV * * * * *
I stood with gritted teeth and clenched fist. I can’t believe she overheard my conversation with Lucy and she already believed it, I had only said those words to save her life so why was she so upset about it, I had no intentions of hurting her in any way and as for Lucy, I did not know that she went ahead and fired Crystal yesterday.
Just when I thought everything was back to normal and I had found the woman I was in love with, how do I make her believe that she is really the only one I love, that I don’t love Lucy.
I only have Lucy in my life because of the agreement my parents made with hers and because of the support her Pack had been giving mine.
The only person that could be a strong enough reason for me to break up with Lucy is my soulmate. If I had found her, then I could have a solid reason to end what I have with Lucy.
I just wish Crystal was a werewolf then I would have told everyone that she was my mate, I would have finally gotten rid of Lucy and lived happily with Crystal.
“Listen Crystal, you have the wrong idea. Please just hear me out!” I pleaded.
She was obviously upset and the best way to get to her was by being calm and gentle.
“Why Logan? So that you could lie to me again right? So that you can deceive me one more time, isn’t that right?”
I went closer to her and held her shoulders for the second time.
She tried to take my hands off but I held firmly this time.
“Like I said, you have the wrong idea of what you heard. Yes I had said those words to Lucy, but I only said those to save your life.” I uttered slowly
“Save my life indeed!” She muttered sarcastically.
“Tell me Logan, how did you intend to save my life by calling me a sex tool!”
Maybe I shouldn’t have used that word, I can see it got her really upset.
“Crystal, I don’t think you heard our conversation from the beginning. Lucy had found out about the day we were intimate, I don’t even know who leaked the information to her but she kind of found out, she was enraged and threatened to kill you for having sex with her mate.
She was really upset so I had to lie in order to save your life. I told her that there was no need to bother about you since I did not love you, I only used you because she was not available.
But that is not the truth Crystal, you are the only one my heart beats for, what we had wasn’t just sex, we didn’t just have fun, we proved our love for each other. Please believe me when I say I love you Crystal! I really do.” I pleaded.
