“No need. He’s my brother I know him, if it’s up to him he wouldn’t let any man near you he didn’t even want me to dance with you and I promise you after this he won’t want any man to dance with you.”The music stopped.”He’s head over heels for you sister in law but he’ll realise that soon, so will you. Mark my words.”Hugo left and her brother took his place she can’t see Bruno anymore but at least he wasn’t with Maya or Lana.
“You looked beautiful today sis.”Sean said.
“And you look handsome in your custom made suit.”
“Your husband has impeccable taste even I love the suit. And guess what?”
“What.”
“I can keep it.”Sage was about to respond when Bruno came.
“I believe it’s my turn to dance with my beautiful wife.”He said, Sean stepped aside.
“Sean and I was still dancing Bruno.”
“Well I want my wife.”He pulled her close, too close.”You’ll only dance with me for the remainder of the day anyone who has a problem with that will have to deal with me.”
“Jealous?”She probed.
“I don’t get jealous.”He said.
“Mhmm.”She said.”I see. Then me dancing with other men shouldn’t bother you.”
“It doesn’t. I just don’t like any man to touch you only I’m allowed to.”
Sage smiled.”Your brother had been right.”
“About what?”He asked, stopping.
“You not letting anyone else dance with me.”
They continued dancing.”Hugo talks too much.”
“You’ve got nothing to worry about Bruno, I’m eternally yours.”
“I know you are because I’m gonna make sure no man comes near you.”
“My possessive, jealous husband.”She smiled.”Always want to be in control. What happens the day you’re gonna lose that control.”
“Then there’ll be destruction.”
“Destruction for whom?”
“Everyone around me.”
“I for one don’t want to witness that.”For answer he kissed her again, their day went well just as his brother said Bruno didn’t want anyone else to dance with her he was by her side the entire time. Their flight will leave tonight so she and Bruno left the reception early to spend whatever time was left with the boys they’ll be gone for two weeks. She has never been away from them for so long and she wonders how they’ll behave. Sage completely trusts Margarita and the boys are at ease with her, Sean and Gina already left for Tampa she’ll miss her brother they won’t get a chance to see each other like before they’ll be living their own lives from now on. She is Bruno’s wife, she’ll have to carry out all the duties of a wife Sage doesn’t think she’ll be able to live this high lifestyle where she will have to organise dinner parties, events go to high class functions is she really cut out to be a trophy wife and live this life. Why couldn’t Bruno be an ordinary man without his millions, maybe she wouldn’t feel so out of place.
A two week honeymoon with Bruno was bliss, absolutely heavenly he took her to Spain, Paris was their last stop. Sage went to places she only ever dreamed of going Bruno treated her like a queen, his queen. Not a day went by without them going out to have fun and experience night life, they had romantic dinners followed by long walks on the beach walking hand in hand, they would sometimes sit and wait for the sunset watching it together was so magical, romantic. Bruno himself is romantic in everything he does for her, not a second goes by without him attending to whatever she wants. He’d taken her to a fashion show in Paris where he had bought three dresses from their collection when they had arrived at their suite later that night designer bags had been waiting for her along with accessories.
He spoiled her and fulfilled whatever her heart desires Sage couldn’t be more blessed to have a man such as him, she feels honored to love him and every second spend with him doesn’t make her regret marrying him. Their wedding pictures had come out better than expected Bruno got one framed and hanged in the family room across from his parents portrait, they’ve turned the private living room upstairs into their own family room only pictures of them as a family were up there, along with some baby photos of Bruno that Margarita had given her, he hadn’t been to pleased about that but eventually he warmed up to the idea. Hopefully one day when they’ll have more kids then their photos will also come on the wall.
She and Bruno haven’t discussed the topic of having more kids again, but the day before returning from their honeymoon in Paris there’d been this one woman who’d asked them if they can hold her baby for a second while she lets her daughter use the restroom Sage had given the baby to him, she had seen something in his eyes something she couldn’t name and when the woman had returned and left he’d said something that made her wonder if he wanted more kids. Hopefully I’ll get a second chance too.. She didn’t ask what he meant but deep down she has a clue that night before making love he’d ask if she was still taking her pill when her answer had been yes, there’d been no mistaking the disappointment in his eyes. Sage doesn’t know what to make of his actions she was apprehensive to ask him just in case it might be her imagination. His bond with the boys are stronger as the weeks followed by it grows, even their relationship is strong better than she first anticipated it would be. He spends more time with them at home they also go out frequently as a family, he’s stolen her heart and with each second she falls deeper and deeper in love.
Liam and Logan’s one year birthday is tomorrow Bruno went to Greece for business a week ago and he still hasn’t come home, neither has she spoken to him in two days where ever he is reception isn’t so good they can’t even video chat without the signal cutting. They didn’t plan anything special for the boys but she had hoped he would be here so they could celebrate it together, Sean has send them two aeroplanes they have so much toys and more keeps on coming. She checked her cell again for any calls from him but nothing she was beginning to worry she asked Margarita if she’s heard anything.
“No senora.”Margarita touched her hand.”Don’t worry senora he’ll come home he promised he’ll be here. Have faith.”
“I know he will come.”These weeks has been wonderful with him, she cannot help but think about them as she went to bed, but she knew sleep won’t
come so she tried calling Bruno she was about to give up when his sexy voice filled the line.
“Beautiful..”
“Bruno.”She sat upright.”Are you okay. I’ve been so worried about you.”The line went quiet.”Bruno..”
The time away from Sage has made Bruno realise and acknowledge something he had never thought would happen to him, all the signs had been here but he had been too blind to see it and although he should tell her face to face he doesn’t want to wait there was a problem with the engine of his jet and due to that he’s waiting for another flight he doesn’t think he’ll make it for the boys birthday tomorrow he knows Sage will be heart broken as she had look forward to that day for them to spend it together as a family.
He misses her, the boys too they are his life, he lives for them and can’t live without them, he loves them he never thought he would fall in love but he has with the mother of his sons he’d die for her. No woman has ever captured his heart but Sage has, a love so deep, so strong that it terrifies even him. She’s won his heart over the weeks with all the little things she does, waking him up in the morning with her sweet kisses, bringing him coffee when he’s working late in his home office her phone calls during the day how she massages him after a long day at work.
Her soft hands does wonders on him he can’t focus or think when she touches him, sometimes he comes home and find she’s already prepared a bath for him followed by a nice dessert which is her. He loves how she cares for him and take care of his needs, where ever he turns or go he sees her face but mostly he loves the smile on her face whenever she looks at him, with so much love. He can see it in her eyes feel it in each kiss, caress or gentle stroke even though she hasn’t said the words aloud but he can feel it in every bone of his body. He wants her to know the truth.”Sage I have to tell you something.”
“You’re not hurt are you?”He could hear the anguish in her voice, it tells him now why he had fallen for her, her kind heart.
