BONNIE
Bonnie was exhausted and hurting. Everything had started to ache even more as she sat still in the chair. When were they going to come back and get her out of here? Hopefully soon. She didn’t
know how much longer she could stay here for.
Angelo had said he was going to come back with water and food and yet, he hadn’t. Bonnie didn’t know how much time had passed since he left.
She’d yanked on her cuffs again, trying to get out of them. Angelo hadn’t put the cuffs back on as tight and Bonnie wanted to see if she could get her hands out. Sadly, she couldn’t and it only resulted in her wrists starting to bleed again.
How much blood had she lost since she arrived? Was she going to make it out of this alive?
Bonnie sighed and slouched in the chair. She needed to get some rest. Maybe if she tried to sleep, it would help her. It would certainly make time go by faster. She pushed her shoulder up a tad bit and leaned her head against it. It was uncomfortable, but it was going to have to do. It beat her neck being strained backward.
Right as she was about to fall asleep, the door opened and she startled awake. Shit. Whoever was walking down the stairs didn’t seem happy. Did they let Miguel go? Was he coming to get revenge on her?
She felt her blood run cold at the thought. She whipped her head to the side, trying to see who was coming, but all she got for her efforts was shooting pain. She whimpered and closed her eyes as her vision started to swim.
Bonnie was going to be sick.
She took several deep breaths, trying to ease the nausea bubbling in her stomach. She was going to do everything in her power not to puke this time.
The footsteps got closer and all of a sudden the lights turned brighter.
“Please,” she hoarsely whimpered. She could feel herself growing more nauseous as the seconds ticked by. Why did they have to turn the light on that bright? Why couldn’t they have kept it dim?
“Are you okay?” Angelo asked. “Shit. She made her wrists bleed again.”
“Leave her,” Rogan commanded.
“She’s already lost a lot of blood. She hasn’t eaten or had anything to drink to fuel her body.”
“I said, shut up.”
Bonnie cracked her eyes open, but everything was blurry. Shit. Was she slowly dying? Whimpering, she blinked several times and tried to make out Rogan and Angelo.
Rogan sounded angry while Angelo was worried. What was going on?
What had she missed?
“I just heard some very interesting news,” Rogan calmly said.
Worry churned inside of her stomach. Bonnie didn’t like how calm he sounded. She could hear the hint of anger through his voice. Was he finally going to torture her? Kill her?
“Just kill me,” she whispered. “Don’t make me suffer any more. I would rather die than live like this for another day. Everything aches.”
Her vision started to clear up the more she blinked but her eyes were still hurting from the harsh, bright light. Angelo’s face was filled with worry and Rogan’s was emotionless.
“I’m going to ask you questions and I want you to answer them truthfully,” Rogan said.
Angelo nodded his head behind Rogan, his face still full of worry.
“After I answer them, will you just kill me or knock me out until I heal? Please, I don’t want to be in any more pain. I’ll answer all of them if you promise.”
For a split second she saw something flash across Rogan’s face, but she couldn’t make out what it was. Sympathy? Sadness? Worry? She didn’t know and right now she couldn’t dwell on it.
“Are you Ethan Montgomery’s sister?” Rogan asked.
Bonnie felt herself go pale and hold her breath. Miguel had told them and now she was really going to die. Sure, she just asked for death, but there were still things she wanted to try in life.
Have a Daddy Dom of her own. Explore the world. Go to a club. Make real friends and so much more.
“Yes,” she whispered, her voice shaking. Bonnie was absolutely terrified of what he was going to do now that he knew.
Rogan stepped closer to her. “Why did you sneak into my car? Don’t you dare lie to me, it’s only going to make things worse.”
Tears filled her eyes and she nodded her head. Groaning, she took a deep breath in as she tried to calm down enough to answer.
“Ethan is my brother and I was just trying to get away from him,” she whispered honestly.
Had they asked Miguel to tell them everything she’d said? Did he tell them the truth? Or did he lie to make himself look better? Bonnie was going with him lying. He seemed like the type of person to lie to make himself look better.
“Why?” Rogan asked.
Tears streamed down her face and she sniffled. “He was trying to arrange a marriage for me and I didn’t want it.”
“And why didn’t you want an arranged marriage?”
Bonnie closed her eyes. There was one big reason and several small reasons. She was a Little and wanted a Daddy, which Ethan said wasn’t going to happen. She wanted to find love and an arranged marriage wasn’t guaranteed love.
“I wanted love,” she whispered, hoping it would be enough for Rogan.
He hummed and shook his head. “I think that’s part of the reason. What’s your real reason?”
Her cheeks got warmer and she stopped crying. She didn’t want to tell him she was a Little. Rogan and Angelo probably wouldn’t understand. Not many people did and that was why she kept it a secret.
“It’s important for me,” she barely whispered.
“That’s not an answer,” Rogan snapped. “Just spit it out.”
Bonnie looked between Angelo and Rogan. Both of them had their eyes trained on her, waiting for her to answer. Was she really going to tell them she was a Little looking for a Daddy?
“If you don’t tell me, I’m going to think the worst and you won’t be leaving,” Rogan said. “For all I know you could have come up that excuse on the spot and are secretly working for your brother.”
She shook her head and whimpered. “No! I promise. He really was setting up an arranged marriage for me. I begged him not to, but he wouldn’t listen.”
“So what was your real reason for not wanting to be in an arranged marriage? What made you run away from him?”
Closing her eyes, Bonnie took a moment to find her courage. She was going to have to tell them.
“I’m a Little who wants a Daddy,” she whispered, keeping her eyes closed.
“Open your eyes and look at me,” Rogan said.
She didn’t. She didn’t want to see the disgust in their eyes.
“Now.” His barked command gave her no choice.
Her eyes flew open and she looked directly into his. She searched his face, trying to find the disgust but didn’t find any. Confused, she looked to Angelo next.
“Eyes back on me,” Rogan commanded. “I didn’t say you could move them.”
Her gaze snapped back to his in an act of instant obedience.
“Now, can you repeat what you said and explain?”
She so badly wanted to close her eyes and will the floor to swallow her up, but she knew Rogan wouldn’t be happy and the floor wasn’t going to make her disappear. Why did she have to say that?
“Come on, Bonalicious,” Angelo said. “Tell us again and explain it.” Bonnie watched as Rogan glared at Angelo.
“We’ll be having a talk,” Rogan said.
Her eyebrows went up as she continued to look at Rogan. Why was he going to be talking to Angelo later?
“Now, say it again and explain.”
“I’m a Little who is looking for a Daddy,” she repeated. “Ethan knew and said it wasn’t going to happen. The guy wasn’t going to be a Daddy.” “And you didn’t want that?” Rogan asked.
“No, I really want a Daddy. I don’t even know why I’m telling you this.
Not like you’re going to believe me or know what I’m talking about.” Rogan growled.
Shit. She needed to stop talking. What was she doing rambling so much? It wasn’t the time or place.
“Please don’t hurt me,” she begged. “I’m telling the truth. I promise he was going to set up an arranged marriage for me.”
“I’ll look into it,” Rogan replied and started to walk toward the doors. “Angelo, give her some food and look over her wrists again.”
Before she knew it, Rogan was gone and Angelo was approaching. What had just happened? Did they know what a Little and Daddy were? They couldn’t, right?
“Bonalicious, you’re going to have to stop tugging on the handcuffs.
You’re only going to make these owies worse,” Angelo said.
She stared at him, not knowing what to do or say.
“I know you’re confused right now, but everything will make sense soon,” Angelo gently said as he knelt in front of her. He started to tend to her cuts on her wrists. “Just be patient and everything will make sense.”
Bonnie didn’t know. With her luck, she was going to get tortured more and then die a horrible death.
“You’ve really got to stop tugging on the cuffs,” Angelo gently scolded as he rebandaged her wrists. “Before you know it, you’re going to damage your nerves and lose feeling or worse.”
She just stared at him. She hadn’t meant to hurt herself so badly but she hated being restrained. Who in their right mind wanted to be cuffed to a chair? No one.
“I’m going to be right back with the food,” Angelo said. He packed up all of his things and walked to the stairs, dimming the light to a darker setting than before. Bonnie whimpered. She could barely see and even though the darkness soothed her eyes, she was scared. “You’re going to be okay,” Angelo said gently before he left. Bonnie didn’t know about that.
