Sequel Chapter 69

Book:The Dominant Alpha (Series) Published:2025-3-10

Kyle’s POV:
“Are you ready to take over as Alpha of the pack with the training you acquired here, or do you prefer to go to the Alpha training camp, which is held every five years?” my father asked.
I kept quiet, thinking about what would be beneficial to me.
“If I decide to go to the camp, will I go there alone?” I asked curiously.
“No, Larson will have to go too. He is your Beta,” he answered as I averted my gaze from him.
He knew that I would choose the camp; that’s why he even brought up the topic. It was obvious how he wanted me to work out everything with that bastard.
“Father, why are you trying to force me to reconcile with that bastard?” I asked seriously.
“Because he is your cousin and Beta. He will forever be your right hand, so you need to work things out. How do you expect the pack to thrive more in the future when you two never get along?” he asked.
“What’s so good about the training camp anyway? I wanted to choose it so I can be far away from Larson and other things,” I said silently to my wolf.
“Agree with him because we need more training. The Alpha camp is a training boarding school where most upcoming Alphas and Betas stay to be trained by the best former Alphas, Betas, and warriors. You may even meet a new Alpha or Beta friend you might work with hand in hand in the future,” he answered.
“Father, as long as Larson doesn’t get on my nerves on that side, then I’m okay with going with him,” I answered, then looked at him.
“That’s my pup,” he said proudly.
“Now, can I go if there is nothing else left to discuss?” I asked.
“Yes, sure,” he answered.
I stood up, and I was about to walk to the door when he called my name.
“Have you heard anything from your sister?” he asked.
“No, but I was about to call her once I was out of your office,” I answered.
“Oh, then do greet her for me and let me know if she’s doing okay,” he said.
“Sure, I will do that,” I answered, then went to the door and opened it.
When I came out, I shut the door behind me and walked outside the pack house.
“Hey, kiddo,” Logan called as he approached me.
“I don’t appreciate what you call me, old man,” I mocked.
“I’m not that old, you little shit,” he growled playfully, then hit my shoulder lightly once he was in front of me.
“What do you want, grandpa?” I asked.
“Did you pick the Alpha camp?” he asked seriously.
“Ah, damn it. Did father tell everyone about it?” I asked loudly.
“Not really. The one who brought up the idea was Neo when we were having a drink. He asked Ian if he was ready to send you away. At first, Ian was hesitant because he thought you preferred to stay here and that the training you have received so far was enough for you. But when Blade pointed out how you may want to go to the Alpha’s camp, he changed his mind about it and decided to ask you which one you preferred,” he answered.
“You know, if I were you, I would watch all the porn there is and die masturbating because on that side, no phones are allowed and no sex is permitted. It’s an all-boys training camp which is very far away from the female Alpha camp. You will spend your days training and reading. No liquor is permitted, and you will stay there for five good years,” he said.
“How the hell do you know all that when you are not a Beta or an Alpha? Do Deltas and Gammas attend too?” I asked.
“No, they don’t. But they are allowed to visit their family or friends once a month. Your father never told you this, but there was a time he decided to go there. Oh boy, it was a mess. In just a month, he was back to his pack because he wanted no one to tell him shit. He was also furious with the rules. Seeing how he is willing to send you there makes me happy. He has not only changed a lot, but he knows what’s best for you. He wants you to have a normal life that he didn’t have in his teen years and early adult life,” he answered.
“I understand,” I whispered.
“Good, so just be prepared, kiddo,” he said, then walked away.
I pulled the cell phone from my front jeans pocket and dialed Roxanne’s line.
As it rang, I moved my foot back and forth on the ground.
“Hello, little brother,” she answered cheerfully.
“Hey sis, how are you?” I asked.
“More than great,” she answered happily.
“I’m glad, that means everything is going smoothly there, right?” I asked.
“Of course, how is everything on that side?” she asked back.
“Everything is fine here as well. I just called because I missed you a lot, and I wanted to let you know that next week I’ll be leaving home,” I answered.
“Leaving home! Where are you going?” she asked loudly.
“Alpha camp, and so is Larson,” I answered.
She kept quiet for a few seconds, then spoke.
“That’s great, but why do you sound unhappy?” she asked.
“Because I wanted to go there alone. Also, I feel discouraged after hearing the rules the place has,” I answered honestly.
“Come on, little brother. You need to go there no matter what. I think you would be an amazing Alpha who surpasses Dad when you complete your training on that side,” she said as I smiled.
“Do you truly think so?” I asked seriously.
“I know so, Kyle. Just give it your best there and don’t mind what you hear,” she answered.
“You are right, sis. I’ll do my best and make all of you proud. By the way, please refrain from visiting me until I return,” I said seriously.
“But…”
“No but, Roxanne. The bastard has to get over you in the next coming years, so never show your face there and give him hope,” I warned.
“I understand. Then, whenever Mother or Father visits you, they will bring a letter from me. That way, I don’t see Larson in any way,” she answered.
“Yes, that’s actually a good idea,” I said happily, then turned and began walking back to the pack house.
