Chapter 920: Threatening Her with Mollie

Callie shut down her computer, not wanting to listen anymore.
A sudden wave of disgust washed over her, as if she had been abandoned in a corner.
Early the next morning, Mollie arrived on time and handed her some water-stained documents. “It took me quite an effort, as always, I didn’t look.”
Callie smiled. “Thank you, I trust you.”
After collecting the documents, she returned home and was about to open them when she suddenly received a call from Mollie.
She frowned in confusion. “What’s wrong? Is there something else?”
There was a moment of silence before a man’s voice came through. “Come here yourself.”
Callie’s scalp tingled. Jaquan!
She rechecked the phone number and confirmed it was indeed Mollie’s.
She took a deep breath. “You’re crazy, she’s Bridger’s woman. How dare you touch her!”
Jaquan’s voice was calm. “I’m not afraid of Nelson, why would I fear him?”
“Come here yourself, I don’t want to repeat myself.”
The call ended, and her phone slipped from her hand. Callie understood that if Jaquan said so, he wouldn’t let Nelson know.
She opened the documents Mollie had sent, only to find they had been replaced with blank paper!
Mollie had risked herself for Callie several times; there was no way Callie could abandon her. She gritted her teeth and called Bridger. He sounded surprised. “Callie?”
“Listen to me, Mollie is missing. She is now-”
“We broke up two months ago.” His words crushed all of Callie’s hopes.
It was still the same private room from last time, even the one where Marilyn had been. This time, the place was cleared out. Scarface opened the door and was surprised to see Callie coming alone. “It’s really you.”
Jaquan sat at the head of the table with a woman in his lap, playing with a lighter. Without expression, he looked like a rogue. There was a row of drinks on the table.
Mikayla stepped forward. “Nelson has a social event today on a boat. Tonight, the boat will sail into International Waters. There should be someone important to him on board.”
Jaquan lit the lighter. “Have you found out who it is?”
“Not yet, he’s very cautious.” Mikayla glanced at Callie. “But we can be sure he won’t be back tonight.”
Callie stood by the door, her face turning pale.
Jaquan seemed ready to settle scores.
Someone in the room pushed Callie forward, forcing her to kneel before him. “Sorry, ma’am.”
Her knees hit the ground painfully. She looked up. “Jaquan, if you have any issues, come at me. Mollie is innocent.”
“Teaming up with Nelson to plot against me, it should indeed come at you.” He raised an eyebrow and lifted her chin with the lighter. “I haven’t seen you look so pitiful in a long time.”
Most of the time, she was proud.
Callie endured his humiliation.
“Do you like drinking? Louis XIII, right?” Jaquan remembered the taste of the drugged wine. “Drink all these on the table, and I’ll let Mollie go.”
The bottles on the table had all been opened, prepared in advance.
Callie’s throat hurt. “I can’t drink that much.”
Hearing this, the woman in Jaquan’s lap laughed. She was simply dressed and smiled seductively. “It’s the first time I’ve seen someone beg so insincerely.”
Jaquan laughed too, playing with her hair. “You think so too.”
The woman poured a glass of wine and brought it to Jaquan’s lips. “If she doesn’t cherish the opportunity, just throw her into the sea.”
