I Missed You

“Are you okay, Kai? Your eye colour is turning red.”
Heidi put her arms around Kai’s shoulders and kissed him. Heidi liked their hot activity last night and wanted to do it again, consciously.
“I’m fine. I’m just feeling excited after last night. You were great, Heidi!”
“Then who’s Edith? You’re calling her name over and over again!”
“She’s the woman I want.”
“You bastard! At least you don’t have to call her names over and over again when we’re making love. I’m leaving!”
Heidi picked up her clothes that were scattered on the floor, but Kai grabbed Heidi’s arm and made her stand up. Kai’s mouth was instantly on her lips, kissing her hard. Heidi granted it without a second thought. Their tongues battled each other for dominance while Kai’s hands roamed her body.
Heidi did the same; she dropped back her clothes, and her fingers traced the first bumps of Kai’s abs. Hands gripped her waist tightly as Heidi kissed Kai roughly.
Kai pulled her face away and said, “You like it when I touch you, don’t you?”
“Oh, I really like it. Fuck me, Kai!”
When Kai slid himself fully into Heidi, all of her thoughts flew out of her mind, and she lost herself in Kai. Greeting this morning’s intimacy, Heidi sighed with pleasure under Kai’s body.
Half an hour passed, and both of them had cleaned themselves up. Heidi quickly tidied herself up in front of the mirror and applied makeup to her face. From behind Heidi’s body, Kai put aside some of her hair.
With a quick movement, Kai sank his fangs into Heidi’s neck. He sucked Heidi’s blood and left a few litres of blood to keep the woman looking normal.
Satisfied with her meal, Kai immediately pulled Heidi’s body to face her. He hypnotised her into following him out of the hotel. They walked in silence until they stopped their steps at the end of the pavement.
Kai looked straight at Heidi once more, then said, “You hurt your neck with a twig. You’ll cover it with a scarf, and you’ll forget about what happened between us.”
Heidi’s pupils dilated, and then she followed Kai’s words. She turned her body around and left Kai by the side of the road.
Kai didn’t want to deal any longer with the woman he slept with. It would be troublesome for him if one of them demanded something more from Kai.
He smelled a familiar scent, not far from where he was. Kai walked, following the scent that attracted his sense of smell. He walked towards the playground and found what he was looking for.
Kai saw Edith with a boy. He watched over their company for a while.
“What are you doing here?”
A man appeared in front of Kai. The man pushed Kai’s body to the tree trunk behind him and pulled his T-shirt off. He growled angrily at Kai as he said, “I know you’re stalking our Luna and her son. Stay away from them, or you won’t be able to walk on your feet anymore.”
“Whoa, calm down, wolf. I don’t want to get into trouble with you guys. Alright, I’ll leave.”
The man removed his hand from Kai’s t-shirt and growled back after Kai left his presence.
Kai walked aimlessly as he thought about what the man protecting Edith had said. This was beyond his expectations; Edith already had a child.
“Damn it! I thought she was the last descendant. My chance to return to being a pure werewolf will fail. Veela’s blood is the last bloodline I need.”
Kai followed the instructions of one of the witches, who told him about Veela’s blood from the last bloodline as an antidote for Kai to return to normal as a pure werewolf. But now it will be impossible for him to become normal again.
He endured decades of pain because of the curse he received. Kai is tired of living life by sucking human blood and wants to recover all his werewolf abilities. He had to become a cruel creature after turning into a vampire and losing his humanity.
Kai feels that his life has been ruined because he slaughtered his entire family while he was in transition to becoming a vampire. He still clearly remembers how thirsty he was after turning into a vampire and sucking the blood of every human near him.
Until he realised that someone was calling his name in a hoarse voice,.
“Kai.”
He still clearly remembered that voice, its soft voice touching his innermost being. He missed the voice that was full of compassion and tenderness at the beginning of his life. For a moment, he hesitated to turn around, but he no longer had any humanity. He had closed his heart out of regret. Kai didn’t want to see the figure that called out to him and left his place with a very fast movement.

“Emma, Julian wants you to come with us to the playground. Do you mind?”
“No, dear. Julian is like my own grandson. Of course, I’ll go with him. I’ll be ready after I take care of Jen with her problem. Wait for me, little wolf,” said Emma as she winked at Julian.
Edith put some snacks in the bag. Julian was already tugging at his blouse, a sign that the boy couldn’t wait to go to the park.
“Yes, Mum knows. We have to wait for Emma for a while, baby.”
Julian bent his face and sat quietly beside Edith. The child just wiggled her legs that hung on the side of the bed while waiting.
Half an hour later, Emma was standing in the doorway and called out to Julian, who had his back to her, “Hey, little wolf. I’m ready; we’re leaving, right?”
Julian jumped out of bed and ran over to Emma. He had a very enthusiastic look on his face when he saw Emma already standing with her arms outstretched to catch Julian.
“Liam, do you know where Seth went?”
“No, Luna Edith. Alpha Seth left with Will early this morning and didn’t say where he was going.”
“I think he went to see one of my witch friends. I think there’s something bothering him,” Emma interrupted.
“Do you know what it is?”
“He already knew the clue given by your mother. A werewolf with coldness and a vampire who walks in the daylight.”
“So this is all about me. Seth has been acting very strange lately. I think it’s because of the heavy burden he has to carry after Alpha Christian’s death.”
“He’s so worried about you. A werewolf, especially an Alpha, would do anything for Luna’s happiness as well as her safety.”
“I guess I’ll just have to give him time.”
At least Edith was relieved by Emma’s words. She was relieved to know that Seth still cared about her.
Their car stopped at the playground this day. Edith walked behind Julian, who was hand in hand with Emma. A gust of wind whipped his blonde hair, which was similar to Edith’s.
“Julian, Mum will be waiting here. Stay with Emma, okay?”
“Okay, Mum.”
His little legs carried him to the spider web game. Emma helped lift Julian so that his body could easily climb the web. Julian’s laugh and smile reminded Edith of Seth. The boy had exactly the same face as Seth. Edith suddenly felt that she missed Seth, who was always by her side.
“Mummy!”
Julian’s voice, calling out to her, snapped Edith out of her reverie. She looked at Julian, who was at the very top of the net and was waving his hand at Edith. Edith waved back and smiled.
“Edith, I want to go back to the car for a moment. I left my mobile phone there.”
“Alright.”
Emma walked to the parking lot. She walked along the pavement until her ears heard a growling sound. Emma became curious about what was going on. She approached the sound and was surprised to see two people arguing. One of them was pushed so hard that his back hit a tree trunk.
Emma felt a cold sweat running down her temples. She was not expecting the scene in front of her, or rather, someone who was being intimidated in front of her. Emma took a step back to hide behind another tree trunk and kept her eyes on the two.
Emma decided to wait until the argument was over. A few seconds later, one of them walked away, and Emma chased after the man who left first. Emma wasn’t sure if he still remembered her or not, but it was worth a try, as she missed him so much. It was only because of an incident in the past that was so painful that she had to part with him.
“Kai.”
The man stopped his steps. He stayed where he was for a moment. Emma was just about to catch up with him, but he quickly left her alone.
Emma felt tears rolling down her cheeks. Her chest felt tight as she watched him walk away from her. She couldn’t bear the decades of longing, and now she had to watch him leave again.
“I’m sorry, Kai.”
