“I hold you; it’s me.”
Seth stood right in front of Edith. He looked at Edith frantically, as this was the second time he had experienced Edith being possessed. For the time being, he was completely confused, as there was no trigger that caused Edith to become like that.
“Save Edith.”
Seth was surprised. He had not expected Edith to speak in a different voice. The figure that was talking to him demanded that Seth protect Edith.
“From who?” asked Seth.
“Cold blooded.”
Seth only heard vague words before Edith opened her eyes. He felt Edith’s body so cold in his arms. Edith’s face was very pale and looked tired. Seth put Edith back on the bed and enveloped her with blankets.
A few minutes later, Edith opened her eyes. She felt that her whole body had become stiff and painful. Looking at Seth, who was beside her with a worried look on his face, made her ask, “What happened?”
“You’re possessed. I heard you talking like someone else you weren’t, and I thought it was your mother. The pendant showed me something before you were possessed. She said you were in danger and left a riddle for me, then the pendant showed me a she-wolf from mediaeval times.”
Edith was still digesting Seth’s words. Her mother passed away; could she possibly talk? She touched her pendant and didn’t feel anything at this time.
“I thought your mother had magical abilities and locked some of the memory inside the pendant. I don’t know; I can’t think clearly when I see you are always possessed and your body becomes weak afterwards. I’m so worried about you both. Maybe from tomorrow we will stay in the pack house if at any time you’ve been possessed again and I will be able to ask Emma for help.”
“What should I do?”
“I don’t know either. It may have something to do with who you really are and your mother’s past. I will not let anyone harm my family, especially you and our child. You have my word.”
Seth was relieved that some of the unreasonable events that happened to Edith actually made her get closer to him. Seth kissed Edith’s forehead and lay down beside her. When fatigue was at its peak, Seth fell asleep to rest from exhaustion.

Edith remembers that today is her birthday. Today, she is seventeen years old. She decided to make a meat pie from a recipe she saw on television. Edith looked at the clock on the wall that showed eleven o’clock in the afternoon, so she still had an hour to do the exam while waiting for the pie to finish.
Edith opened the task through her school’s website and saw that there were two subjects for her to complete. It wasn’t too difficult for Edith to work on biology and chemistry.
“Julian, please help, Mummy.” You kicked too hard; I’m focusing on doing my exam, honey.”
“He will only obey me,” Seth commented as he arrived.
“Seth, why did you come home so early? Isn’t there an exam today?”
“I miss you both.”
Seth lowered his gaze. He touched Edith’s belly and rubbed it lightly. Satisfied with greeting his future child, Seth grabbed Edith’s waist to get closer to him.
Seth kissed Edith. Now he no longer needed to ask the girl’s permission to touch her after the heating process. A warm kiss from Seth’s lips made Edith close her eyes to enjoy every touch Seth gave. For a moment, Seth pulled his lips away from Edith.
“I always feel that you have an extraordinary allure. Not only because of the wolf imprint, but it seems that you always get me drunk. With pheromones from your body, it makes me doubly tempted than usual. Are you steeped in alluring magic, baby?”
“It should have been me who asked that. How can you make me weak in front of you, Seth?” Edith replied with a sense of resignation.
Seth smiled. He landed his kiss on Edith’s tiny lips. Edith felt the kiss that landed on her lips this time more intensely than the first. She opened her mouth so that their tongues met and linked. Seth lowered his kiss to Edith’s neck, reaching all sides of her neck with a desire that reached his peak as Edith sighed slowly.
“Seth, you made me unfocused.”
“I’m crazy about you. Are we going to start?”
“I have to finish the exam, okay?”
“Yes, all right.” Seth pulled his lips from Edith’s neck and clucked in disappointment.
“Are you baking something?” asked Seth when his nostrils picked up the aroma of meat.
“I’m making meat pie.”
“It looks like it will be delicious, especially since you made it. By the way, happy birthday, baby. I want to give this to you.”
Seth wrapped a rope bracelet with a few brown little wolf beads around Edith’s hand. He tied the bracelet and brought Edith’s hand close to her lips, then kissed it.
“How cute it is.”
“I hope you like it. I also wear one.”
Seth raised his wrist to show that the bracelet he was wearing was the same as Edith’s. He smiled when he saw the two bracelets in turn.
“I like it; thank you, Seth. It’s very simple, but typical of werewolves once. Maybe my destiny will always be with the werewolf. This thing about werewolves overwhelmed me a little bit, but over time it’s getting fun.”
“Am I that fun thing?”
“You’re too confident, Beta Seth. Being pregnant with Julian overwhelmed me so much. You two were so aggressive, and I became like this because of you. Remember that.”
“I know you like it, and your lips agree with me.”
Edith raised one eyebrow, and before she could deny Seth’s words, she was attacked by a vicious kiss from Seth. Edith became breathless because of it, and her body was pushed to squeeze the kitchen cabinet.
She succumbed to her lips, who kept kissing Seth back. Edith always felt a warm wind coming through her vein when they did that. There is no point in blocking the heart anymore to resist the feeling of love that has begun to grow in her heart.
“Seth, the pie!”
Seth let go of his kiss and took a step back to make way for Edith to approach the microwave. Edith put on gloves and picked up a baking sheet filled with fragrant cooked meat pie.

“I think you guys should go to one of my witch friends. From what I know, she can break the seal that protects the pendant. My strength is only limited to divination and time travel. It couldn’t go any further. I’m sorry, dear. I hope I can help you more.”
“It’s okay, Emma. You are so kind to help me with this.” Edith hugged Emma tightly.
“Seth said you guys would stay here. I’m so happy to hear that.”
“He said I would be safer when I was here.”
“Yes, some vampires are indeed difficult to control.”
Edith looked at Emma, whose complexion turned somber. She seemed to see the bitterness that had hit Emma’s life after saying the word ‘vampire’. A drop of tears fell on the old lady’s cheek. Edith took Emma’s hand and asked, “Are you okay, Emma?”
“It’s alright, dear. Seth said you have your birthday today. It looks like Seth and his friend are preparing something in the backyard. Happy birthday, my dear. May luck always be with you and your baby.”
“Thank you, Emma. I love you.”
Edith walked with Emma out of the room to the backyard, where the werewolves were grilling barbecue. Edith felt a pain in her stomach and immediately rubbed it slowly. She continued her steps until she came to a large backyard. The atmosphere is so lively and warm, and Edith felt comfortable being around here.
Edith listened to Emma’s story about standing in front of the campfire. She was fascinated by the story about the Red Crescent Moon Pack’s history, which guarded Surrey for three generations. Surrey is safe from invasions by vampire clans, who once slaughtered this place in ancient times.
Edith felt a pain in her belly again. She felt her belly being pulled. Edith took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She did it at Ashley’s suggestion, but she couldn’t help it anymore. This is already the umpteenth time Edith has felt pain in her belly.
“Seth, my belly hurts so much. Arggghh!”
“Guys, call Ashley. I think Edith will give birth soon.”
